Bitcoin (BTC) is the crypto industry’s biggest digital currency by far. BTC’s market price started this year at $7000. Earlier this month, it topped $24,000 before retreating to its current level above $22,000. Bullish investors believe the rally still has enough juice to clear $25,000 by year’s end. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong is excited as anyone else with this meteoric rise in value. However, he is also taking a cautious stance as to where the market goes from here. He points out just how volatile crypto trading can be as opposed to more traditional investment vehicles.

 Sheldon Adelson Leads Push for Legal Texas Casino Gambling

Billionaire businessman Sheldon Adelson built his fortune in Nevada. He is the principle owner of the Las Vegas Sands Corp. He extended his fortune in recent years with expansion into the Asian casino industry. LV Sands is a major player in Macau as the Las Vegas of that region of the world. He has now turned his attention to Texas as the next big casino gambling market. Adelson has hired multiple lobbying firms out of Austin to further his cause. The only form of limited gambling in the state is through the Tigua, Alabama Coushatta and Kickapoo Native American Tribes.




Playtika Makes Plans to Go Public

After filing a Form S-1 with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Playtika is one step closer to going public. This has turned into a highly anticipated initial public offering (IPO). The driving force is the overall success of this mobile gaming company. Both revenue and net income have posted solid gains from one year to the next. The company’s overall revenue this fiscal year ending Sept. 30 was $2.3 billion. Playtika has a daily average user base (DAU) of 11.4 million. This is an increase of 1.5 million DAUs from the previous year. Players span more than 100 different countries.

Multiple Las Vegas Arrests Tied to Police Crackdown on Sex Crimes

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has been making a concerted effort to crackdown on sex crimes. Various suspects have been arrested for sex trafficking minors to soliciting underage juveniles for sex. As part of 12 different arrests for solicitation of a minor, an elementary school assistant principal was part of the sting. One man was arrested for soliciting and underage female online. Another was sex trafficking a female juvenile in the Las Vegas area. Two people were recently arrested on the Las Vegas Strip. The woman suspect was arrested for theft. The male was arrested for facilitating sex trafficking.
