As CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey is routinely in the public eye. Jay Z has more than made a name for himself in the music industry. The common bond between the two is using their vast resources to pay it forward. That is why they are forming a bitcoin development fund. With an eye to the future, an initial investment of 500 bitcoin will fund this “blind irrevocable trust” intended for Africa and India. The two are searching for a three-member board as the governing body. The current value of 500 bitcoin is around $23 million.

  PA State Trooper Arraigned For Role in Illegal Club
Robert Covington Jr. earned close to $100,000 a year as part of the security team for Mohegan Sun Pocono casino resort in Pennsylvania. He was a state trooper working with the Bureau of Gaming Enforcement division. It was reported that he earned more than that as the co-owner of the Sinners Swing strip club in nearby Mayfield. He was recently arraigned on a number of charges by a state grand jury. This includes activities related to promoting prostitution and illegal gambling. He was one of four individuals arrested in connection with this case. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 23.
 

 Massive Money Laundering Scheme Involves Crown Casino Perth

There has been a recent investigation into the financial dealings of Crown Resorts International. At the center of the investigation is a money laundering operation. It has been alleged that millions in funds have been laundered through Crown Casino Perth. This was done with a pair of shell companies. Riverbank Investments Pty Ltd has been linked to the scheme along with Southbank. Investigators believe that hundred of millions of dollars have been laundered by various international criminal organizations. The money was deposited into Riverbank and Southbank accounts. Those funds were then credited to an account at Crown Casino Perth.

 Anaheim Illegal Gambling Police Raid Leads to 70 Arrests
Southern California police have stepped up their efforts to combat illegal gambling in Anaheim and Long Beach. A recent raid on a furniture store in the Anaheim area led to 70 arrests. Several gambling machines, firearms and drugs were also seized. These illegal gambling operations are referred to as ‘slaphouses.’ This is tied to the slapping noise associated with the illegal machines. In October of last year, a raid was conducted in a building next to the recent raid. This led to illegal gambling and drug charges for 25 individuals. Raids in Long Beach closed down several illegal gambling operations over the past year.
