Starting on March 11 and running through the rest of the month is “Wide Open: 90 years of Legal Gambling in Nevada. The exhibit will be staged at the Mob Museum’s Historic Courtroom. They first presentation is entitled, “Part One: Becoming America’s Playground, 1931-1960.” This will start on March 11. The second presentation is scheduled for March 25. This phase of the exhibit covers, “Part Two: Becoming a Global Destination, 1961-2021.” As part of the program, two vintage figural slot machines will be on display. Casino Jackpot Winner Found Dead Two Days Later


Just two days after Jenny A. Jones won a large casino jackpot she was found dead in her apartment. The 46-year old Spokane resident won the jackpot at Northern Quest Casino on Feb. 15. Two days later on Feb. 17, she was found dead on her apartment floor. Albert Asher was Ms. Jones’ stepfather. His wife and Jenny’s mom is Sue Asher. She requested that Albert check on her daughter after multiple phone calls went unanswered. Other tenants in Ms. Jones’ apartment complex mentioned issues with a man to police during the investigation. The matter has been ruled a suspicious death.
