Jim Klug began working in the fly fishing industry at age 14 and has since built one of the most respected careers in the sport. Over the years, he has worked as a guide, sales representative, travel coordinator, and National Sales Manager for Scientific Anglers. During his 20s, he guided throughout Montana, Colorado, New Mexico, and Oregon while fishing in more than 55 countries worldwide. In 1999, Jim founded Yellow Dog Flyfishing, which has grown into one of the world’s leading fly fishing travel and destination outfitting companies. Beyond Yellow Dog, Jim hosts the WAYPOINTS podcast, is the author of Fly Fishing Belize and Waypoints, and co-founded Confluence Films, creators of acclaimed fly fishing films including DRIFT, RISE, CONNECT, WAYPOINTS, and PROVIDENCE. Jim has received both the American Museum of Fly Fishing’s prestigious “Izaak Walton Award” and AFFTA’s “Lefty Kreh Industry Leadership Award.”
