Speaker 1:Today I'm recording in a bit of a different setting on a different mic, and I just know the quality is not the best, which I don't love. But here we are. I wanted to get this episode out for you. I wanted to get it recorded and ready Because this one is five easy ways to make it an extra 5k this month. So the reason I wanted to record this is because last month was my first month back from the sabbatical and I made an extra $5,000, but not from anything that I was actually promoting. So, as you guys know, I'm currently promoting one-on-ones, and even though I've had applications and we've had people wanting to do one-on-ones, there hasn't been the right person yet. So none of this money has come from anything that I am actively promoting. It's been through things that are word of mouth, it's been through other sort of avenues, and so I'm going to share some of those avenues with you. And then I also got to thinking about some other ways that we can easily make an extra $5,000. But I'm thinking like low energy stuff. I don't want to make anything new. I don't want to be promoting something on my stories, I don't want to be doing a launch plan, I don't want to be doing social media marketing for it Nothing extravagant. So I've compiled a list of five. I'm going to share them with you today, and I'd love for you to do them this month and see what brings you some fruits. You know what I mean, so let's just jump right into it.
Speaker 1:And the very first one is guest teaching. I had the beautiful Erin May Henry reach out to me and ask me if I could guest teach inside. Of course, she's doing a live round right now and she wanted to have somebody come in and teach astrology when it came to her creative archetype. So she does a lot of work. If you don't know who Erin is, she does a lot of work around branding and content creation and in her course, influential Academy, she teaches these seven creator archetypes, and so she wanted somebody to come in and share, from an astrology perspective, how people can start to uncover what these archetypes are for themselves, because she was seeing that some people were struggling to really bond and pick and connect with their unique creator archetype and I was like, fuck yeah, astrology totally vibes with that, and so I actually made a masterclass from scratch for her that will live forever in her course.
Speaker 1:So the reason I share that whole lead up of the story with you is because guest teaching is not something that you can just charge like a blanket amount for. I don't recommend that, like I ended up charging Erin like a little bit more on the higher end because I was creating something basically from scratch for her. I had to go in, watch all of her modules, take the time to really get to know the archetypes, do that work to connect the astrology to each archetype, put together the presentation, deliver the presentation. There was a lot that went into it and so if that is something that you have capacity for, if you have an expertise, something like astrology or human design or Reiki or Jean Keys or something where you, whatever your area of genius, is your authority, if there is a way that you can disseminate that onto somebody else's work and provide even more value, there's a guest teaching opportunity there that could be really powerful. Basically, what Erin and I did is we collaborated with both of our personal IPs like intellectual property, so that's why I was able to charge a pretty decent amount. Like I ended up charging low four figures for this work and she didn't bat an eyelid at that. She was like, yeah, absolutely, because she understood how much work was going into it and how niche and bespoke this teaching experience was.
Speaker 1:Now, obviously, if I was going into somebody's mastermind and just doing basically like a Q and A and doing a little like interview like that's what I used to do inside of purpose to paycheck the mastermind I used to have you know you can still charge for something like that I believe I used to pay the guests like around $200, basically every time I had somebody come in. That was like my budget for those people because there was nothing that they had to do to prepare. All they had to do was basically just show up and be themselves and share their wisdom. If they had to create slides or something, that might be about $500. So guest teaching is something that is really powerful because not only are you earning money from it, but you can also create an even more deeper connection with another person in your industry. Like from a networking perspective, it's fucking great.
Speaker 1:And then the other thing that I did in that masterclass is I offered a very exclusive discount through those students to work with me in another way. So if they wanted to continue to invest and continue to work with me, they had the opportunity and there was obviously an incentive to do that. I've been having a couple of conversations with those babes about working together and what that might look like, and it generated a lot of interest and a lot of lead and it was just a really great way for me to not only make money but to also network, which I think is important. But obviously we're talking about making some extra money this month, so guest teaching is definitely my number one. I even went on Instagram afterwards and was like hey, does anyone want me to guest teach? And that is to me. I'm like, yeah sure, it's social media marketing, but to me that needs like so low effort. Like you could literally just put a slide up on your stories and be like hey, I'm guest teaching. You could go through your Rolodex and directly pitch people and ask if you can teach a certain something in their group programs and their memberships, and it was literally so much fun. Like I'm not gonna lie to you, it was the best term I've had in a long time. So if you're someone who really likes to teach, if that's something that's in your wheelhouse, I highly recommend looking into guest teaching.
Speaker 1:Next one is reach out to old clients and see if they need a top up. So I actually had this happen to me. So I had somebody reach out and say, hey, how's everything going since we started working together? I wanted to let you know that I'm offering a special price for the top-up session for previous clients. If you need a top-up session, let me know and we can totally book one in. It was really nice to just get like a check-in from somebody that I used to work with and the way that they delivered. It was in a way that felt like they were genuinely caring about me and that the reason they were reaching out to me is because they were thinking about their old clients and thought, oh, this would be a really cool thing that I could offer and obviously it's going to benefit them as well. But I felt like that was so nice and I'm definitely going to go and have that top-up session. So it did make me think to myself like that's definitely something that you guys can do.
Speaker 1:And then also, I had a previous client reach out to me and actually asked me if they could book in a pass-life regression for their partner. And I was like, oh my God, fuck, yeah, I would totally love to do that. And then again it made me think about this idea of reaching out to old clients and even though that person had actually reached out to me and I said, yeah, totally, I don't offer pass-life regressions in one-off sessions anymore, just like publicly, but by referral, 100%, like whatever you want me to do. If you want me to do a pass-life regression on your best friend or your mother or your brother or whatever, like I'm down for it, but it's not something that I promote all the time. And so by doing that, it gives you a little bit of a backup. It almost feels a little bit like girl math in that way. It provides that backup of you being like oh, I know I have this sort of like secret weapon that I can reach out to people when things, when I'm wanting a little bit of a cash injection, to be like hey, this is a special rate for a one-off session, do you need any help and it can be a really great way to just get some money through the door. And the other cool thing about it is the client that reached out to me who booked in the pass-life regression for her partner. That partner is in the industry. So now I'm going to have another connection with somebody and it's just so beautiful how all these things work out. Like I just love it when that shit happens. But I also want to remind you that you can make that stuff happen for yourself.
Speaker 1:So definitely reach out to your old clients, give them a special rate, check in with them. Like, just genuinely reach out and check in with them and see how they're going. And yeah, don't be salesy about, just be normal and you will be surprised, I think, at how many people are willing to be like, yeah, this feels really universally sent. I could utilize a little bit of a top-up right now. Let's fucking do it. But it's not anything that's going to break the bank. It's not anything that's going to like do anything wild. It's not an astronomical amount of money, it's just something to give you a little bit of cash injection and say you charge $150 for a session with you. That's pretty cheap to do a one-on-one session. So you had five people that said yes, but that's almost $1,000. So there you go, it adds up really quickly. Then you get to connect with old clients. You get to catch up, deepen the connection like vibes.
Speaker 1:So number three is you can repurpose an old piece of content that has a high sales conversion rate. We all have that piece of content where we posted it, and then all of a sudden we have three people jump into a course, or five people jump into our membership, or somebody like messaged you straight away and was like let me work with you. I feel like we've all had one of those sort of unicorn moments and I wonder how much of a unicorn moment it actually was. There was probably something really great about that piece of content and what you said and how you said it that allowed them to feel really safe, and so much so that they were willing to spend with you. So go through your Instagram, go through your podcast, go and reflect and have a look through the things that you've put out that have yielded really great results.
Speaker 1:And this is the thing is like it doesn't even have to necessarily be something that convert, and that's a great place to start, but what made me think about this as a tip was, at the moment, I'm actually converting the simplicity files into an Evergreen funnel, and the reason I wanted to convert it into an Evergreen funnel is because I am still, to this day, receiving emails, messages from people that are so moved by the simplicity files and what was taught and what I shared during those three days. That was a free three-day learning experience. It was there for me to announce some really exciting things that I had going on and share all the new things that were coming up after I came back from my sabbatical. But at the end of the day, I gained a lot of really quality leads through doing the simplicity files. I know that there are a couple of people who found me through that or maybe have just emerged from my audience into my DMs from that experience, and so I thought this is actually a really great thing to have that when someone lands on my page, it's a really great way to create like no one trust and share my expertise, give them something straight away and get them onto my email list, because I did an email roundup of every single day, so I had the content already there, and so that's exactly what I've done.
Speaker 1:I've decided to. I've pinned one of the posts from the simplicity files I went up from when I was promoting it. There's now a really simple link, a highlight reel, and now when people land on my page, that's like a great place for them to start and they can get to know me really well and jump into my email list and then I have. You know, building your email list is just so important, so I have done that. I'm obviously promoting my services throughout. There's an opportunity for them to buy throughout their whole experience and then, right at the end, I put a trip wire funnel which is just $7 for access to what I call the sustainable success safe, which has three notion templates for sustainable success. They're things that I like, live and breathe by that help me stay consistent, help me create sustainable success strategies, like they're just really great templates to help me plan and execute and convert my ideas into products and services. And I give this to all of my one-on-one clients inside their online portal so they have access to that. And I've given everybody who moves through the whole simplicity files which is just three days of an email drop every single day the access to purchase that as well. So it's really powerful to start to play with these smaller offers and look at your content as ways to generate leads, bring people in and give people opportunity to buy from you. But that's just one way that I'm doing it, but I highly recommend having a look at your content, repurposing it, bringing it back up to the top, reposting it on your stories all those cool things. You guys know what to do, but just making sure that you are yet repurposing and allowing people to find you again.
Speaker 1:The fourth one is email marketing. Obviously touched on this a little bit before with the funnel that I've now set up for the simplicity files, but email marketing is so fucking powerful when it comes to conversion, especially if you have a really solid email list who is like down to fuck with you. You know what I mean. Like they are really ready and they are hotly. And the way that you will know if your email is hot is go and have a look at your open rate. If your open rate is above 20%, that's like insane and that is totally something that you should be leveraging. Is there a piece of content that you posted on Instagram that you could convert into a email, because it's going to land in their inbox. Whether it lands in spam or not, it's going there. The algorithm can't suck with them not getting to even see your email Again, this kind of three and four kind of similar. But it's have a look at your content on Instagram or whatever social media platform that you're using and how could you convert some of that into an email and obviously sell from the email there?
Speaker 1:I just find the email marketing is such an underrated thing Like I've even underrated it, to be quite honest and it's something I'm really looking into and wanting to figure out how to master, even more than what we already do. People are there because they want to know when things are going on sale. They want to know when they can buy from you. That's the reason why most people will join your email list. So if you haven't had an email list already, if you don't have an email list already, fucking get on that shit. It's so important and you are really surely missing like a big piece of the pie. And if you already have an email list, do a little bit of like an email marketing campaign. Sell some of your stuff. Let people know what's on offer right now.
Speaker 1:I know for me. I'm going to do something for Black Friday, I think, predominantly through email marketing. I'm obviously going to do some stuff on Instagram too, but for me, email marketing is so much less of a hassle Like putting stories together, making things aesthetically pleasing, creating content, like all that stuff. It just feels like a lot, whereas email marketing it's one email. There's only so much you can do to it, like it's just text, like you don't have to recode a whole fucking website. That's what it feels like sometimes with content, right, is? It just feel like a lot? I know, for me it definitely takes up so much of my time and, to be quite honest, I haven't had a lot of time to create content at the moment because I'm doing a lot of backend stuff and email marketing has just been really powerful for me and I know it could be powerful for you too and it really is as simple as like putting an email together letting people know that this is available. Don't blast them because they're not unsubscribe. All you have to do is just send an email once a week, like nothing too hectic, nothing too crazy. And then, last but not least, I talked about this in the public episode this week.
Speaker 1:But, holding your standards. This is an energetic one. It's not straightforward, it's not like a little tool, but the only reason I think I was able to make an extra 5K this month was because I had these new standards for these one-on-ones and I've been really holding them like. It would have been so much easier for me to just be like you know what? I'm just going to bring my prices back down. I'm just going to do what I did before. I'm not going to make it that people have to have a conversation with me before they sign up. I'm just going to let people sign up all that stuff and I was just like no, I need to talk to these people. I don't want to just work with anybody. I want to work with the right founders who really need this, who really desire it, and I know I really fuck with. It's a six month container. I don't want to be stuck with somebody that thinks that they're right for me but I'm not right for them by holding this standard. I truly believe that's why I had the guest spot come through and I had this random session come through, and then I had some of these other products and services being bought and I just felt really supported, even though we haven't signed any of these new one-on-one clients and we still have three spots.
Speaker 1:I'm not worried because I'm holding this standard and the universe is giving me money in other ways and I really feel like this is a big one, a really big energetic shift that I've been able to step into. That has really helped the energetic frequency of being in receivership through all of these other channels. I don't know, I'm not feeling stressed. I'm like, okay, we'll just keep talking about it and until we find them, we'll just wait. Like it is what it is, I'm not going to lower my standard. This is how I wanna do it.
Speaker 1:I know this is the right way of being in my own inherent value, of honoring the inherent value of you know, the clients, and it's not to say that I'm sitting here being like no, you're not good enough to work with me. It's literally not that. It's just the people that are coming through aren't fully aligned, and so I know that the people who are aligned are probably doing their research. They're probably waiting, looking, just feeling into it, and that's totally fine. And so, if that's, you reach out, let's have a conversation. I just am in full trust with this process because I'm literally getting money from other avenues.
Speaker 1:This has been such an important piece. I don't want you going and trying to make an extra 5K from this place of like, meaniness and scarcity. That's never gonna be the vibe. That's why I say no, hold your standards, do what you're doing, and these are just extra things that you can, like, tap into and ask for and leverage to get a little bit of extra catch in your bank account.
