Doug is the author of In the Shadow of the Sabretooth and, with his wife Andrea, co-authored the book The Essential Grizzly. Doug also writes extensively for magazines, including Audubon, Backpacker and Outside. Peacock was named a 2007 Guggenheim Fellow and a 2011 Lannan Fellow. He lives just north of Yellowstone in the Paradise Valley of Montana. We are talking today about his book In the Shadow of the Sabretooth and the megafauna wildlife that goes back tent o fifteen thousand years on this North American continent.
