Todd Houseman is an indigenous performer and emerging artist from Amiskwaci Waskihigan (Edmonton, Alberta). He is currently enrolled in the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. Previous to his enrollment, Todd was a senior performer of Edmonton’s Rapid Fire theatre for 8 years, where he performed weekly and taught as a primary instructor through the Boyle Street outreach program. Todd is also half of Folk Lordz cultural comedy duo, which has toured across North America, delighting audiences with cultural comedy and storytelling. Recently the Folk Lordz created a digital sketch series, which can be found on Youtube, with Todd and Ben taking the role of co-writers, actors and producers. Todd has worked as an indigenous educator and facilitator through various cultural exchange programs in Edmonton. Todd recently received rave reviews for his and co-creator Vanessa Cardona’s play Whiteface which toured Winnipeg and Edmonton Fringe’s this past summer.
