April 26, 2022 marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of Landscape Architecture in America. Olmsted only designed one cemetery, Mountain View in Oakland, California, early in his career. Over the next two episodes I explore how his landscape design shaped American cemeteries and elevated the landscape to a piece of art.
