117 – Join us in praying with the mindset of Jesus this year

The more we embrace the mindset of Jesus, the more we'll be able to live our lives with the spiritual assurance and authority he wants for us.

Here are 22 facets of the mindset of Jesus that we'll pray with:

  1.   The kingdom of heaven is at hand.   Matthew 4:17
  2.   So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does... I can do nothing on my own.   John 5: 19, 30
  3.    Jesus was moved with compassion when he saw the multitudes.  Mark 6:34
  4.    Jesus only said what the Father told him to.    John 12: 49, 50
  5.    Jesus got up early to pray and sometimes stayed up all night to pray.   Mark 1:35; Luke 6:12
  6.    Jesus spoke in parables.   Matthew 13:10, 11, 13
  7.    Jesus always did the will of the Father, not his own.   Luke 22:42
  8.    Jesus knew he was the light of the world.   John 8:12
  9.    Jesus was willing and able to heal.   Matthew 8:3
  10.    Jesus rebuked sickness and disease and even a storm.   Luke 8:38, 39; Mark 1:25, 26; Mark 4: 39
  11.    Jesus taught with authority.   Matthew 7:29
  12.    Jesus ate with sinners and outcasts.   Mark 2:15-17
  13.    Jesus knew his disciples could understand his message and preach it to others and heal like he did.   Matthew 13:11, 16; Matthew 10:7, 8
  14.    Jesus always looked for receptive hearts to share his message with, whether they were Pharisees, social and religious outcasts, or even foreigners, whom Jews were not even supposed to talk to.    John 3:1-12; John 4:5-42; Matthew 8:5-13
  15.    He didn't take the bait of critics and naysayers.   Luke 6:1-5; Luke 20:22-25
  16.    Jesus knew God always heard his prayers.   John 11: 41, 42
  17.    Jesus knew he was the Bread of Life, the Messiah.   John 6:48, 51; John 4:26
  18.    Jesus does not rely on the testimony of men to validate or declare who he is.   John 5:34; Matthew 16:16, 17
  19.    Jesus saw the inherent goodness in people, especially little children.   Matthew 5:13, 14; Matthew 19:14
