Dr. Bruce Wydick is the Program Director for of International and Development Economics at University of San Francisco. His work researches and reports on the impact of developmental programs like microfinancing, in-kind donation of children's shoes, wheelchairs for the disabled, and clean wood-burning stoves. Along with his work appearing in dozens of publications, he has a column on global poverty issues in Christianity Today and has published a number of books. His latest book, The Shrewd Samaritan is a helpful tool for all of us to grow in our engagement with global poverty and understand where we are in our own journey following Jesus.
Additionally, Dr. Wydick was Rob Hall’s professor while he was at University of San Francisco and has a number of stories about what Rob was like while at University! They were involved in Intervarsity together and even went on an exploratory mission trip to Guatemala together.
In this interview, Rob and Bruce talk about what it means to steward our finances so we can create real change both globally and locally. Learning about the impact of our giving can influence the way we give and the dedication we have to whom we give.
