QUESTIONS:
(Luke 20:1-2) Where in your life do you feel most resistant to Jesus’ authority right now? What are you afraid He might change? (Proverbs 3:5-6 ; James 4:6-7)
(Luke 20:5-7) When you are confronted with truth, what is your first instinct: defend, dismiss, delay, deny or destroy? What does this reveal about what is going on in your heart? (John 3:19-20; Proverbs 28:13)
(Luke 20:9-15) Where have you seen small resistance in your life slowly grow into deeper patterns of rebellion? What did the progression look like? (James 1:14-15; Psalm 1)
(Luke 20:16-18) What does ‘deifying self’ look like in your everyday decisions-where are you functioning as the final authority in your life instead of Jesus? (Genesis 3:5)
