Ukti Vora
Adapting technology and future-proofing your practice can be  exciting as well as overwhelming. In this episode I had an opportunity to sit across two amazing practitioners who share their experience about incorporating technology into their practice.

Some of the episode highlights are:

  • Overview about their journey and their practice.
  • Learn how incorporating technology helped improve their practice and patient experience.
  • Learn how they overcame initial technical difficulties and apprehensions
&much more.

Along with all of the learnings check out our fun "Game Segment" to get some interesting insights about our guest.

Guest Bio:
Marle Esterhuizen: She is an Experienced optometrist, with over 10yeas of Experience. She has great passion and immense interest in pediatric Vision along with bring forth excellent vision care for the entire family. She has lot of experience in fitting special contact lenses for irregular corneas and Myopia. She believes in bringing in an holistic approach in patient care with referrals from other disciplines. She has won sp. award for best clinical skills in 2009 and is also a dyslexia diagnostician and therapist for the Stark Griffith dyslexia academy.

Madale Scheepers:
I am an Optometrist for 16 years, owning my own practice for more than 11
years. I graduated at University of Johannesburg in 2006. I did my post graduate diploma in
sportsvision in 2010 at University of Johannesburg. I am currently busy with my ocular therapeutics course and my passion extends to helping kids with learning disabilities, thus I am a Stark Griffen dyslexia specialist as well.
My passion for optometry started at the young age of 7 years when an optometrist saw that I was born with a congenital cataract – which was removed in 1991. Unfortunately, at the age of 7 years no patching really helped and I am now an “amblyopic, monocular optometrist”. All I ever wanted to do was “changing life’s through vision”! For obvious reasons, I love kids and feel early detection can change their lives, the way mine was changed! I am a proud mom of two beautiful young kids and the wife of my awesome, supporting husband Coenie for more than 10 years!
