The End In The Beginning: Business Planning Basics - Ansel Hall - Sunbelt Business Brokers
Nov 25, 2020 Season 2 Episode 48
Floor Academy

This week's guest is Ansel Hall, a business broker with Sunbelt Business Brokers in Phoenix. With a background in finance and handling multimillion dollar mergers and acquisitions, Ansel started his own business and eventually sold it. He then bought into a car dealership and helped make it successful before joining Sunbelt to help small to medium sized business owners. In this episode, we discuss the importance of beginning with the end in mind and how to plan for a successful exit strategy.

Beginning with the end in mind means starting any project or endeavor with a clear understanding of the final outcome or goal. It involves visualizing what you want to achieve, and then working backwards to figure out the steps needed to get there. In the context of business, this means knowing exactly what you want to achieve with your company, whether that be selling it for a large profit, passing it down to your children, or simply creating a sustainable and profitable business that will provide for you and your employees.

Once you have a clear understanding of what your end goal is, you can begin to reverse engineer the process. This means breaking down your goal into smaller, achievable steps, and then working on each step one at a time. This can help you stay focused and motivated, and ensure that you are making progress towards your ultimate objective.

By beginning with the end in mind and reverse engineering your goals, you can also better allocate your time, resources, and energy. You can focus on the most important and impactful steps, and avoid wasting time on activities that won't move you closer to your goal.
