A Sermon for Oxford Baptist Church on the 9th Sunday after Pentecost.
Note: this was preached immediately following our Middle Schoolers offering reflections from their week at Passport. Therefore, I used Passport as a big example. On a different Sunday, I would have certainly gone a different direction, but what has struck me more and more in the wake of offering this sermon is the role distraction plays in us being frustrated with our faith, our church and our connection to God.
I hope, or maybe I don't, once you see it, it will be very clear.
"The biggest threat to God's presence is distraction."
