Show Notes

Podward State returns from Thanksgiving Break with an episode featuring updates on Penn State football and basketball.

Joining hosts Matthew Ogden and Samuel Brungo this week is social media manager Ryan Parsons to discuss Penn State football's first victory of the season against Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines , and the key factors that led to Penn State finally breaking their five-game losing streak. Parsons also gives a preview to Saturday's game against Rutgers.

We also discuss former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley's electric NFL debut Wednesday afternoon for the Baltimore Ravens against the Pittsburgh Steelers. McSorley entered the game late to relieve an injured Robert Griffin III and threw a 70 yard touchdown to Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and rushed for 16 yards in Baltimore's 19-14 loss.

Finally, staff writer and basketball beat writer Owen Abbey joins the program to discuss Penn State basketball's 2-0 start, Myles Dread's three-point buzzer beater Wednesday night, and what Penn State will need to do in order to survive a tough upcoming schedule against multiple Top 25 teams.

Podward State releases episodes weekly and features discussions about all things Penn State, including sports, news, student life, and entertainment.
