On Good Friday, we find ourselves at the foot of the Cross kneeling as both saint and sinner. We lift our own crosses that we bear, for us sometimes a symbol of how our love is held back from others, but for Christ a symbol of sacrificial love with a promise. The promise that God will not abandon us in our suffering. God comes to us just like this, just as we are. Christ conquers our greatest fear, death and promises life. Life Eternal. On Good Friday, we stand at the foot of the cross with Jesus.
