This week, Captain and Wilson discuss the 2005 horror/comedy, "Cursed," directed by none other than Wes Craven! It stars Christina Ricci, Joshua Jackson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Judy Greer.

Cursed is an especially fun one because it was fraught with studio involvement, which led to its poor performance, but also possibly its cult following.

The film discussion begins around 17:53.

Tea Talk, Catnip, And Search Rants

Captain

Feeling good?

Wilson

Feeling good. Got my my tea.

Captain

You got your crystallite tea?

Wilson

Crystal light? No. I mean, I'm not above crystallite, but no.

Captain

I was gonna say.

Wilson

This is a tea packet. It's uh peach and honey.

Captain

Have you ever uh this is probably too far, too advanced, but I know people like make their own tea.

Wilson

I don't grow my own tea, but I've done like you brew it like not in a bag. I've done like blue sleep is as far as I've gone. No, grow. Grow. I mean, I've tried to grow catnip, and I guess that is in some teas, but I didn't use it for tea.

Captain

What?

Wilson

You can like there's a no, there's a tea we have right now, it's called sleepy time tea or something related. I don't know. But one of the ingredients is catnip.

Captain

What? Catnip makes cats like hype. I don't know how maybe it just thinks different tests.

Wilson

Yeah, I don't know. I feel like I could be wrong, but I I think catnip is in like the family of um chamomile because to me they smell very similar.

Captain

Interessante.

Wilson

I'm gonna I'm gonna look this up, do like a 30-second deep dive.

Captain

Um okay, but I feel like well uh how is growing catnip? Like that's doesn't sound like that'd be easy.

Wilson

Um it was I maybe I'm using the wrong, maybe I'm misremembering. I think it was cat grass. But oh okay. Yeah, I guess okay, yeah. No, I'm looking at a picture of catnip, like the the plant. We did not grow that.

Captain

Okay, because I was like, I've never heard anyone explain that growing that before. I've never yeah.

Wilson

No, but I guess something about the grass is made specifically for cats. Maybe it's like they just know it's safe. I don't yeah, I don't know.

Captain

Um I mean yeah, kind of does it look it looks um like it's giving poison avvy a little bit, like it's making me itchier. Yeah. The plan.

Wilson

It does kind of seem um let's see. I did get a semi-answer. I always try to skip the AI overview in Google because I can't I don't try to rely on it.

Captain

Yeah, I've noticed it has told me and somebody else exact opposite answers before. You know, someone at work told me I can't remember, I might have said this on the podcast. I can't remember, but somebody at work told me if you write like um fucking like in your answer, like what what is fucking catnip, for example, um, it won't bring up the AI because it won't like if there's a curse word in it, it like won't the AI won't be able to answer you.

Wilson

Okay.

Captain

But I haven't tried that myself.

Wilson

Yeah, I haven't either. Um okay, so there's a Humane Society article that says uh that cat humans can drink catnip tea, and it has a similar effect as chamomile. So maybe not the same family, but you can use it. Yeah.

Captain

It seems like catnip is uh like a little bit of a uh ecosystem wrecker.

Wilson

Oh. You mean like it's an invasive plant?

Sliding Into 28 Years Later

Captain

That word. Yeah, um, I don't know. It seems like if it's in your yard, it's like really hard to get rid of.

Wilson

Oh. Make tea.

Captain

So I know. Get cats. Um there we go. And there's plenty of cats in your home too.

Wilson

So um And this episode is brought to you by cats.

Captain

Yeah, I know, right? Um, okay. So I see you have things in here. One of the things I wanted to talk about.

Wilson

Yeah, let's start there. Uh 28 Years Later, Bone Temple. So the sequel to 28 Years Later that came out last year.

Captain

Yeah. Did you re-watch the other ones before you watched this one?

Wilson

I did not. Is that why you did you re-listen to our like episode number two where we talked about No?

Captain

No, but I watched 28 Days Later again, and then I watched 28 Years Later, and then I watched this like all in one go.

Wilson

But you skipped 28 weeks later?

Captain

Yeah, everyone says the movie sucked. It has nothing to do with this plot.

Wilson

Isn't that isn't uh Killian Murphy in it?

Captain

Wait, wait, hold on. What's the one that I what's the one that has sphere no, what's that guy's arrow guy?

Wilson

Arrow guy um Hawk?

Captain

The Hawkman?

Wilson

Hawkman? Jeremy Renner?

Captain

Yeah.

Wilson

Wait, Jeremy Renner's in one of these?

Captain

Yeah. Oh, wait. That's the one I skipped.

Wilson

It was wait, what?

Captain

You're acting like I'm making things up.

Wilson

I just did I also get the thing about Killian Murphy wrong. Is he in the first one?

Captain

Yeah, he's in the first one.

Wilson

Well then what's the second one about?

Captain

About nothing. It's like, yeah, this is the one with Jeremy Renner. Yeah, and it's like, um, right?

Wilson

Oh, okay. He was in 28 weeks later, the one we're talking about. 28 weeks later.

Captain

Yeah, yeah. And everyone says that movie has nothing to do with the regular one. Like the first movie.

Wilson

But Rose Burns in it and friggin' Harold Perano from From and Lost.

Captain

Wait, uh, Michael?

Wilson

Yeah, right?

Captain

Oh.

Wilson

I think.

Captain

I don't know what his real name is. Oh, he's always Michael in my head. Um, yeah, I was told I was told like, don't watch that movie.

Wilson

I I have seen it.

Captain

I don't remember anything at all except um so I was told don't watch it because in the first movie they say that this has um been like the island is like on quarantine, sequestered, like right, UK, right? And then in the second movie, somehow the virus makes its way to the US, even though the whole island is like blacked out for everybody. Anyway, uh someone on Reddit was like, Don't watch it. It doesn't have anything to do, like they backtrack on that movie. Like it's bad. So I was so I never seen it because they said don't watch it.

Wilson

Interesting. I I do see it doesn't have um Danny Danny Boyle as like associated with it at all, and he did the he did 28 days later, and he's doing 20 years later.

Captain

So all right. Maybe sound like I was crazy.

Wilson

Well, I just I couldn't, it's been so long, I don't like I just couldn't remember.

Captain

Anyway, yes, I skipped that movie. Um but oh yeah, you're right. Harold Parano. Um but yeah, watching them back to back, I think was really helpful. It like really it really helps you like flesh it all out. Um so I really liked Bone Temple.

Wilson

I I definitely liked it more than the first 28 years later, because like that plot felt I had I thought about it like a the plot felt very Disney, like there was like an adventure, the kids like I don't know, coming not really coming of age, but well, I guess, yeah, he is coming of age. It just has like a very like I don't know.

Captain

It was fine, yeah. It was fine, but Bone Temple is like, dude, um the main guy like giving it his all. Like, I loved that. Um what's his name? Dr.

Wilson

Kelsey Yeah, Ray Fine, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Captain

Ralph.

Wilson

Well, I think I saw in an interview that his name is pronounced Rafe.

Captain

Oh, Rafe. He's from the UK, they can do whatever, you know?

Wilson

Yeah, um, so spoiler, um, the scene where they just like skin people, that was just like that's like graphic torture.

Skipping Weeks, Casting Confusion

Captain

Yeah, it yes, that that was pretty bad. Um, it was hard to watch that. But watching Dr. Kelson like do his whole scene at the end, like I was living, living for that.

Wilson

Yeah, that's like a lip sync for your life, right? Dude, oh my god.

Captain

He was giving everything. He was like, oh, I need to perform. Like he's been waiting to perform for somebody. Like he had ever, I mean, I it was like so cool to see that. Yeah, I I like loved that scene. Um, like, oh, it was great. Um, yeah, I don't know. I really like that. And then they kind of like progressed the story where, like, you know, there's a zombie that's pregnant and giving birth. Like, that was not what I was expecting. But like they were like lining something up for that too. I don't know. But like, um, yeah, it's just uh yeah, I don't know. That that scene at the end, like I just could not get over. Like, I left the theater, like so, I don't know, just like uh amazed and like happy that that movie was like really good. Um when we first sat down for the movie, like three people walked in like a little bit late. Like the movie had just started, so it's not a big deal, but like they walked in late. Of course, their seats were right next to us. And I'm not exaggerating, they start having they continue a conversation they were having from outside, regular volume, regular volume.

Wilson

I don't get it how people do that.

Captain

As if as if they weren't sitting in a movie theater. Um, but we only let that go on for maybe two minutes, and then at the same time, both Jay and I turned over to them and be like, hey, can you not talk so much?

Wilson

And they were they quiet?

Captain

Oh yeah, they shut the hell up after that. But like it was so weird. Like, I was like, what has happened? Don't walk in here then. And it's not like we were the only people in that theater. Yeah, like the there were other people in there. Like it was so strange. Um like they weren't whispering at all. It was so I'm like, what is happening? Um but yeah, then yeah, then it was fine. But yeah, I was really immersed in the movie. I think everybody got pretty immersed in the movie, so that helps. But um I don't know. I really liked it. I I gave it five stars, but you only give it four stars.

Wilson

I mean, yeah, I mean, I I guess I'm like I'm being more selective with my five stars, but it was really good. I did really like it.

Captain

Really selective, huh? Let's see. What have you given four stars?

Wilson

Oh man, I'm gonna be like clocked.

Captain

Is it Twilight?

Wilson

No, I don't think I've given that five stars. I th I think I've given it a heart, but maybe I could be wrong.

Captain

You and your hearts. Um let's see.

Wilson

It's so hard to I know I'm like sometimes like if a movie was like, I know that wasn't a good movie, but I really enjoyed it.

Captain

I'll give me Call Me by Your Name has five stars.

Wilson

Yeah, well, that is a good movie, deserves five stars.

Captain

Inglorious Bastards.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

There will be blood. These are older movies that you gave five stars.

Wilson

Yeah, we just saw those in like IMAX or uh not IMAX. Um of them was like the original uh it was on film, Inglorious Bastards, and they like showed it on a 70 millimeter projector.

Captain

Dude, you haven't given a new movie like like made in the 2020s, a five stars. I mean I don't even know how far back I have to scroll for that. Yeah, um you gave Twilight five stars, you liar.

Wilson

Oh yeah, well, you got me with that one, but that I mean that one, yeah, that I guess that's an exception. I just really enjoy that. I know it doesn't deserve a five.

Captain

Midnight Mass, which isn't a movie, you gave that five stars, and that's strange when you won.

Wilson

I mean, yeah, they put like mini-series on here sometimes.

Captain

Oh, one battle after another, which that okay. I don't think I gave that five stars, but I understand the five stars.

Wilson

What is this?

Captain

Wait, what are you looking at a movie you rated?

Wilson

I was I was trying to look, I was sorting my diary by my rating highest first. But it's showing me like oh, oh, I know why. I was looking at my watch list and I was like, I did not rate Scooby-Doo Zombie Island five.

Captain

But it might deserve both it well, it might.

Wilson

I just haven't watched it since I was little. Um, okay, so back to this five discussion.

Captain

Uh yeah, I literally like Bone Temple. I finally watched Oppenheimer, I gave that five stars. Um Zootopia 2. Love those movies.

Wilson

Um, I haven't seen two yet.

Captain

And then um Atlantis, The Last Empire. I randomly put that on one night. Oh, I remember you talking about that. Yeah, oh great movie. Five stars. Um anyway. It's so random. But uh, I really like Bone Temple, is really the point.

Theater Etiquette And First Reactions

Wilson

Um yeah, I'm excited for their their third movie. I was just trying to see if there's any progress on that yet.

Captain

It should be soon, I thought. 2027.

Wilson

Yeah, it's the Wikipedia doesn't really say much.

Captain

Oh.

Wilson

But uh it could be just not completely current.

Captain

You know what movie I was recently we might I can't remember, we mentioned Avatar on here, but that third movie was like so unnecessary. I'm kind of over those movies.

Wilson

I I liked it better than two, but I did it did feel like the final act was like the same as the previous movie.

Captain

I swear they repeat scenes or like it's a giant water battle. Yeah, and I'm just like I basically basically watched this already. Like I I don't know. I'm just kind of over them.

Wilson

Um and it was really long, so long.

Captain

And I was talking to somebody at work about this uh recently, but yeah, it's just I I think I'm I think I'm I think I'm good.

Wilson

Like I'm gonna I mean if they make more I'm gonna watch like at this point I'm gonna finish it. But uh can't be a big thing. There can't be another water battle, like yeah.

Captain

Can't he do some other water something? Like he made the Titanic, like can't you switch it up a little?

Wilson

Dude loves his water.

Captain

Yeah, I mean that's fine. But like let's you know let's you know shake it up a little bit. Um like he can't put all his effort in that, like we've seen it.

Wilson

He is. I don't know.

Captain

Um what's blobs in here?

Wilson

Oh, yeah. So um uh a couple weeks ago we went to see um so basically there's a movie from the 80s called The Blob, which is a remake of the movie from like the 50s.

Captain

Yeah.

Wilson

It's basically a j gelatinous thing that eats people and it gets bigger and bigger. Um but this local theater we have, it's like you know, one theater, they they choose their own programming. Um they had the blob, they're gonna show it on on like in a theater. So we went and it was just really entertaining. Uh sometimes that theater does like special snacks or something to go with the movie. They didn't do it this time, but like, for example, they would have done like jello shots or something.

Captain

Is this the place that did Mary Lou?

Wilson

Yes, it is, yeah.

Captain

Okay. Okay.

Wilson

Uh but if you've never seen that movie, it's it's pretty good.

Captain

The 80s one has m has better reviews than the one from the 50s.

Wilson

Yeah, I haven't seen the one from the 50s, but this one is like campy, but the story's kind of tight.

Captain

Oh. So you know, I think every time I look up like the fly or the thing, I think the blob comes up.

Wilson

Oh, yeah.

Captain

Because like similar time period. Um, I don't think I've seen it though. So we did the fly and the thing for this podcast.

Wilson

Yeah, and the blob would be a good contender.

Captain

Maybe. Maybe I took the list. Um did you oh, what was I gonna say? I'm not updating my app right now. It's like you really should update your app. Doing that.

Wilson

How about no?

Captain

No. Um I'll probably put the blob on the list, though. I'm not gonna lie.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um, okay. Oh, that's what I was gonna say. I don't know if you've seen I was telling you when I was preparing this to be the cast. Absurd. Um, and I don't know if you want to pull the list up because there's a bunch of squelches in here.

Wilson

Oh maybe yeah, well, I don't know. I'll do um kind of where my heart takes me on squelch.

Captain

Okay. I mean, I don't think I don't know. There was I remember it came up at least more than once. Um, but just so you know, you are leading this one. The cast is absurd. It took forever.

Wilson

We can do it.

Rating Philosophy And Five-Star Debates

Captain

Okay.

Wilson

Okay. We'll power through. So let let's uh let's hop in. You wanna hop in?

Captain

Yeah, get me in here. I don't know where I am.

Wilson

My tea's all gone, but I'll survive.

Captain

But there's tea coming.

Wilson

Oh, yeah, you got me. Okay. All right. So welcome to the 185th episode of the Red Run Podcast, where we review horror movies while enjoying an adult beverage or two.

Captain

And I'm Captain.

Wilson

And I'm Wilson, and this week we're reviewing the 2005 American horror comedy film Cursed. So this was directed by Wes Craven, written by Kevin Williamson. I don't I don't recognize that name, but I don't always recognize writers. Uh, I should. Um and they work together on the Scream franchise.

Captain

Yeah, so I don't know if you want to squelch Wes Craven because we've done a couple of his movies, like, you know, I mean, so many, but quite a few, yeah. He's probably do you think he's mostly known for Nightmare, or is he mostly known for Hills Have Eyes?

Wilson

I would say Nightmare on Elm Street. Like, if I hear Wes Craven, I'm like Nightmare on Elm Street. I I guess forgot or didn't know that he did Hills Have Eyes. I don't know. Um, and then what? Looks like Kevin wrote uh I know what you did last summer, Halloween H2O, even though I don't know if that's anything to brag about. Um Scream and Exorcism. Which Exorcism is this?

Captain

The 2024 one.

Wilson

Like The Exorcist Believer.

Captain

Some yeah, something like that.

Wilson

Hold on a second. If that's the case, then I've like lost all respect for him.

Captain

Um I mean, you don't even know who he is.

Wilson

Uh no, the one I'm he did not write, this terrible one.

Captain

Did I see that? I don't know.

Wilson

I don't know. It was like it's supposedly like a sequel to The Exorcist. Uh came out in 2023. Absolute garbage. Terrible. Well, it's like uh the mom from The Exorcist is like she's in this movie.

Captain

Oh my god. Yeah, he mostly done Scream. Scream 2, 3, 4, uh the newer ones, um, and I know what you did last summer, which you love that movie.

Wilson

What? I know what you did last summer?

Captain

Yeah, I thought you really liked that one.

Wilson

Oh, I don't remember. I haven't seen it in forever.

Captain

Oh, I thought you liked that movie.

Wilson

Wait, okay, so I I don't think I saw this movie, The Exorcism, but so it's Russell Crowe, but didn't he also do The Pope's Exorcist like very recently?

Captain

Oh yeah, actually, I didn't mind that movie though.

Wilson

Oh, I love The Pope's Exorcist. Honestly, I should put that in my top four.

Captain

What you like it that much? I I saw it on a whim, honestly.

Wilson

I actually I really like the supernatural component. I know a lot of people would not, but I I found that very fun. Like the towards the end.

Captain

It was so funny. Um, yeah. So I don't know. Well, it's up to you, I guess, if you want to squelch any of those Wes Craven movies or not. But um, he did a lot. Like we've done a lot of those.

Wilson

Uh yeah. Um, I think I'll skip the squelch on that one. I'm sure scrolling down, I think there's we'll see.

Captain

Dude, so much.

Blob, Retro Screens, And Camp

Wilson

Yeah. Uh okay, so the cast. Um, quite a few, so I'm not gonna go like deep dive into all of them. Um, but we have Christina Ricci who plays Ellie. Um, you know, recognize her as Wendy Wednesday Adams. Um, she's in Casper, more recently, Yellow Jackets, and also the Wednesday TV show.

Captain

Yeah.

Wilson

Uh Jesse Eisenberg plays Jimmy, Zombieland, Social Network, Nice See Me. I didn't I didn't see the second one. Did you see that one?

Captain

No, I did not. But he also did Vivarium, which we did.

Wilson

I do, yeah. That's a good squelch because I don't I would say like eighty seven.

Captain

What? I would definitely say this is in the hundreds, like one It's getting foggy. Like one nineteen.

Wilson

You're probably it's one oh four.

Captain

Oh.

Wilson

So I mean, but I'm like not super far off.

Captain

That's true.

Wilson

Under 20 off.

Captain

Yeah.

Wilson

Um, okay, so then we have Joshua Jackson, plays Jake. Um, he was an urban legend, shudder, uh, and then he was on Dawson's Creek.

Captain

Yeah, I think it I think it autocorrected that last name because I don't think the last name was Twitter. Yeah, I recognize his face so much from like that early 2000s. Like I feel like he really had a uh grip on early 2000 movies, but uh like I his face is like I don't know, it's like giving that time period, but I don't know where he's been.

Wilson

It took me a long time to associate the face with the name because like yeah, I would recognize the face, but I didn't I don't think I was familiar with the name Joshua Jackson. No, but I also didn't watch Dawson's Creek, so I did not watch Dawson's Creek.

Captain

I think that was a little bit too before our time.

Wilson

Yeah. Um then we have Judy Greer who plays Joni. Um love Judy. Yes. Um like I most know her for Arrested Development. She plays Kitty. Um in Archer, 13 uh going on 30. Um she's in the new Halloween. All of them. Those three. Okay, yeah. The village.

Captain

Yeah. I think we squelched that before for something else.

Wilson

Probably.

Captain

I can't. Um that was a while ago.

Wilson

Yeah. That was an early one, yeah. Uh we also have uh Milo Ventimiglia, um Rocky Balboa Jr. in a couple movies. I know him from Heroes. Uh he's in Gilmore Girls.

Captain

Yeah, he's Rocky Balboa Jr., by the way. Like not the Rocky Balboa.

Wilson

Oh, did I not say Jr.

Captain

No, but it's fine. I think people would know.

Wilson

Yeah. Uh okay. Um then we have Christina Anapal? Anapaw.

Captain

I don't know.

Wilson

I don't know her, but she was in True Blood and Black Swan.

Captain

Who is she in the scene? Oh, she's in one of those girls in the beginning, I think.

Wilson

I'm looking her up and I don't really remember. Okay. Um we have Portia De Rossi. Um, she's in Allie McBeal. I never watched that, but I think to me, most notably Lindsay Buluth in Reste Development.

Captain

Yeah, which I find that so funny that the two of these two of these people work together.

Wilson

And it would would have been right around that time. I think Restaurant Development started this like that year or after.

Captain

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Wilson

I could be wrong, but um Shannon Elizabeth, uh, she was in Scary Movie, um, and the American Pie film series.

Captain

Talk about a generic name.

Wilson

Scary movie? Oh, you mean her actual name.

Captain

Sir, what? No. Yeah, Shannon Elizabeth.

Kicking Off The Cursed Review

Wilson

Um, then we also have uh Michael Rosenbaum, uh, most notably known for playing Lex Luthor in Smallville. But he shows up in like a lot of random things.

Captain

Yeah, I can't remember. Is Smallville the one you like or Heroes?

Wilson

Well, I like both, but um, I think Smallville's better.

Captain

Okay. That's the one I couldn't get into, right?

Wilson

Uh no, I think it was Heroes, because I showed you I showed you an episode here.

Captain

And I think you might have tried on your own, and you're like, I did try it on my own, but it didn't pick like it didn't pick up, yeah.

Wilson

It does feel like uh an early 2000s show. Uh we had Nick Offerman.

Captain

I kind of forgot that he was in this dude, he's in like 30 seconds.

Wilson

Oh, okay. Um you know what he's in. Um and then Derek Mears. I don't Oh, he okay. He was in the costume. Okay, okay.

Captain

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Wilson

So he plays Jason Voorhees in the reboot of Friday the 13th, um, Hills of Ice 2, Pirates of the Caribbean, that one Stranger Tides, and Edward and Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters. I I don't think I saw that.

Captain

Which one is the one we did? We did Gretel and Hansel.

Wilson

I think so.

Captain

Does Derek Mears come up on that list of creature actors?

Wilson

Uh yeah, he does.

Captain

He does. Wow.

Wilson

I was hoping to have to look that up.

Captain

No, I haven't. I got it. Um, and then there's just a bunch of random singers in this movie, so I put them all in one group because I don't even know what I'm supposed to do. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with it.

Wilson

What what a combination. Lance Lance Bass, uh Bowling for Soup, and Maya. I don't do I do I know Maya.

Captain

There's like a thingy over the Y. I don't really recognize her.

Wilson

Oh. Yeah, I don't know.

Captain

But um Bowling for Soup's in the beginning scene has nothing to do with the movie. Lance Bass is also like randomly like a side, like not even 10 seconds. I I don't even know. It's just a random collection of people for some random reason. There's also a guy, what's his name? Um, playing himself in the movie. I can't remember his name. Do you remember what I'm talking about?

Wilson

No, a lot of this is gonna come back to me while we're talking about it, since it's been so long since I watched this.

Captain

Yeah, like Christina Ritchie's character plays uh like she works for a publicist, and there's a I can't remember, it's like not important, but there's a guy that's just playing himself for the publicist in the movie. Um, and I was like, why? What is this random collection of act of like famous actors um that don't play any, there's no bearing on those people in this movie at all.

Wilson

It kind of tracks with like the T that I know we're gonna talk about for this movie. Okay it's uh I don't know. I'm not surprised based on knowing that, I guess. Um okay, so we can uh we can jump in. Yep, yep. Um okay, so uh it starts off there's like a pier, probably probably the Santa Monica pier or something.

Captain

Um I think it's Hollywood. Oh, it is okay uh yeah, that's what it because they had like signs in the background that say Hollywood.

Wilson

Yeah, I don't remember. Okay, so um Jenny and Becky.

Captain

I don't know.

Wilson

Um so they're talking to a fortune teller, and it tell the teller tells them that uh they're gonna have some horrible fate involving a beast uh that feeds off the full moon. Um obviously they don't believe her. Like you're at a carnival or whatever.

Captain

Yeah, it's um Portia's the one that plays the pollinator, but um it's funny in the way that she says, like, you know, you're gonna be attacked by the beast. Um and their faces, when they look, when she says that, it it's like I can see the because it says it horror comedy. I can see the comedy coming through. I don't know if you watched it knowing it was a horror comedy, but uh the it it's giving like an off-brand scream movie, which he this guy goes on to make scream movies, so it makes sense.

Wilson

Yeah, and I think this movie had like a lot of potential for that too. I don't know, yeah. But I don't think I knew it was supposed to be a comedy when I started it.

Captain

Gotcha.

Wilson

Um so I guess while that's happening that same night, um uh Ellie, so Christina Ricci's character, was visiting her boyfriend. Is that Joshua Jackson's?

Captain

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Wilson

Okay.

Captain

Um he's like opening a club that's like decorated with all these like horror props. Um so he's she's visiting him there. Um and he's like really excited. Um, but he's also being weird with her. Like he's like a weird, he's like a little distant. I don't know. He says he needs a couple days to himself, which is weird. Um and then her brother, Jesse Eisenberg's character, Jimmy, um, is like a nerd and doesn't have any friends and is bullied, and she goes and picks him up that night, and she even makes a comment that's like uh like he was mad at her that she was like an hour late and she was like, Well, if you were a regular teenager, your friends would drive you.

Wilson

Brutal.

Captain

But anyway, yeah, she picks him up.

The Crash, The Beast, And Clues

Wilson

Um, so they're they're driving home uh and they like get into an accident with an animal in another car, um, and they they attempt to rescue the other driver, and that driver is Becky from the like fortune teller. Um yeah, yeah. Um, but the like a creature attacks, um kills Becky, and like slashes uh uh Ellie and Jake.

Captain

Jimmy.

Wilson

Jimmy, yeah, sorry, yes, Jimmy.

Captain

Um all these names are like I know it's if I have one more Jimmy or Tommy in like in the 90s or early 2000s movie, I'm gonna scream. Um yeah, but you know, also with the comedy of this movie coming through the when the other car, so the other car goes tumbling down a mountain, like not their car, but it like goes off the side rails and tumbles down as the car's tumbling down. You can hear the woman that's in the car, like they overlay a scream and she's like, oh like it's it is so comedic. But like I I don't know if you'd pick like again, I don't know if you'd pick up on that. Like I I I could see you just being like, oh, this is a bad movie if you didn't know. But yeah, um, I actually was like laughing because it's like it's so ridiculous the way she screams.

Wilson

I think I need to watch it again and just like I will know what to expect, and then I can just have fun.

Captain

Yeah. Um and then when the wolf so like the wolf dragging drags Becky out of the car or the animal like thing, but like because she's like stuck in there, um, like upside down, and as they're trying to help her get out, like as soon as she gets like kind mostly freed, um, like she just gets like sucked out of the other side of the car, like just womp, like vanished. And yeah, they try to stop, they try to like hold on to her, but they'd also just kind of get hurt. And then Nick Opperman shows up as the cop for like 30 seconds.

Wilson

Yeah, and I think they end up believing it's just like a bear or a cougar.

Captain

Yeah, and they're like Jimmy doesn't believe that. Yeah, Jimmy doesn't believe that at all. Christina Richie's, I mean, she's like whatever, but Jimmy's like, no, that was a werewolf.

Wilson

Yeah, so um basically it cuts like the next day at work, um, and like Ellie is starting to be attracted to the scent of her coworker's blood, um, but just pretends like it's nothing.

Captain

Nasty. She is like, what smells so good? And she follows a woman to the break room who's having a nosebleed. I was like, disgusting. Like, out of all the like, I didn't know what she was gonna find. I thought it was gonna be like raw meat or something. I was like, nosebleed, like vomit. Like, that's so the nastiest.

Wilson

I thought you were gonna say something worse, or not worse, but like, you know, you said she followed her female co-worker to the back.

Captain

Oh, no, no, no. That that would be worse. That would definitely be the nastiest. Um, no, they did not do that.

Wilson

Um, that's probably too inappropriate for this movie in 2005.

Captain

Probably most I feel like most directors are like uh writers, uh, they're men. They're not gonna want to put that in. Like, that's not the thing that they're gonna think about to put that in the movie.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um, also, like the next day they cut to Jimmy Googling, but this is 2005, so it's like whatever off streets.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um, and he all he types in is wolf la frying me. Like, that's what he types in. Like, um, and then like all these websites pop up of like wolf-like creature or like animal attacks that aren't explained. I'm like, oh my god. Um, but anyway. Oh, also he wakes up in the bushes naked, and I think Christina Ritchie wakes up, or she has like a really crazy dream or something. Um, so they're already like uh changing or yeah, like it's pretty clear something's happening here.

Wilson

Um so um Ellie goes to the party uh where her boy boyfriend is, and Jenny, and that that is um what's her face is uh Judy Greer, is that right?

Captain

No, Jenny is one of the girls from the beginning that's not Becky.

Wilson

Oh, right. Okay, yep. Um she's annoyed that Jenny's flirting with Jake and she leaves. Um but while she's leaving, she's in the parking garage, she gets chased. Uh sorry, Jenny gets chased. Jenny. Yeah, Jenny gets uh, yeah, so it sounds wolf.

Captain

Yeah, it sounds like Jenny was an ex of Jake, and like Christina Richie gets mad that she seems to be flirting, but Jake doesn't seem interested at all. And I think because Jake doesn't seem interested, Jenny leaves. Um, yeah, the garage scene, the parking garage scene was like crazy how that thing is hunting her down. Um, does it say it in these notes at all? No. Um, do you remember the scene where um she's she makes her way to one of the elevators and it's like stuck halfway between the floors? I know you watched this like two months ago.

Wilson

Yeah, I'm like trying to remember as you're describing it.

Nosebleeds, New Senses, And Stalking

Captain

Um yeah, she like gets attacked to the parking lot. The what it's like hunting her down, she finally like runs far enough, quick enough, that um I think she sets a car alarm off. So it's distracted by that, and she like runs to these, to the parking garage elevators, actually gets the whole door to close, which is surprising to see in a horror movie. Whole door closes and she's like starting to ride it, but I guess the werewolf is like strong enough that it's breaking the elevator down. Um, and it kind of gets stuck between two floors, and then the werewolf like pryes the doors open and is trying to get to her, but like can't really make its way through the hole that's so small. Um, and then she's stupid because she like climbs up trying to not get snatched by the werewolf. But if she just stayed where she was, it'd be fine. But she like climbs up, falls close enough that the werewolf could get to her. It's just like dumb.

Wilson

A lot of dumb mistakes.

Captain

But it's like interesting to see like uh elevator closure all the way. It's a good attack scene.

Wilson

But yeah, you're making me want to watch this movie again.

Captain

Um I okay, the movie has terrible abuse. I I didn't have any problem with it.

Wilson

I mean, I think it is like a cult classic now, or like there are a lot of I think there's like some diehard fans out there.

Captain

Oh, okay. Because I was like, I don't understand these. I mean, the numbers are not good. But I don't understand.

Wilson

Well, I mean, I do think the movie's a little too long, but uh a smidge.

Captain

But it's not that long. I think it's like an hour 37.

Wilson

Oh, really? Okay. I don't know why I thought it was like it like got to over two hours.

Captain

No, no, no.

Wilson

And I'm like, what are you doing?

Captain

No, no. Um and then I think I think shortly after this, Jenny, or not Jenny, oh my gosh. Um oh yeah, that's right. Zella, the Porsche's character, the palm reader, they're doing like some uh TV event where uh like they have palm readers on. Anyway, they she ends up being in Ellie's office and fine, like immediately is like drawn to her and says, Hey, you're gonna like you're in trouble. Um and she says, There's a full moon coming and you're gonna be attacked, like you're you have like the mark of the beast on your hand. They have a pentagram. Her and Jimmy have a pentagram on their hands, and she's like, Um, you're gonna be you're in trouble, and like you need to be aware um that a werewolf might be coming for you, or you're cursed by. And she makes a comment that um uh it'll be someone that knows you and they won't like look, you know, it'll be it'll they'll look like anybody else. So like we we as the audience are now like, okay, well, who could that be that's close to her? That you know, so like it's it's it's definitely a high suspicion that it's on her boyfriend because he's being weird, you know, he would know her. Um so yeah. Oh, I sorry, I think we yeah, there's a wrestling scene that we skipped where Jimmy's basically getting really strong. He he he brings his bully down, basically.

Wilson

Oh, okay, yeah.

Captain

Um I don't know if you remember all like the weird yeah, what anti like the weird the like the bully is very uh homophobic. I don't know if you remember.

Wilson

I do remember that because I well I remember what happens later.

Captain

Yeah, which happens after the wrestling scene.

Wilson

Yeah. So what after this wrestling scene? Um doesn't like oh yeah, so uh Bo or whatever, Milo's like teasing him about being or like a lot of these like gay jokes, and then doesn't Jimmy say something back to him, like, oh, you're just repressed?

Captain

Yeah, he does say something during that wrestling scene, and then later on that night, um, he comes to their house, but it's while their dog Zipper is like um half werewolf because he's been exposed to Jimmy's blood. So because of that, he's like half werewolf, and he's like all these dogs are coming to their house and like howling at the house and stuff. So anyway, his dog Zipper basically attacks him, and at the same time, Bo shows up and is like, How'd you know? You're the only one that could read me. Um he's like, even though Jimmy keeps telling him that I'm not like that, um, he like tries to kiss him, which Jimmy's like, no. Um and that he Jesse Eisenberg says something that's so Jesse Eisenberg where or it's like very early 2000s where he was like, you know, that's not me, but like, yay, go gay or something. Like it was like it's like such a weird little line, but um I don't know, it made me laugh. Um but yeah, they basically are friends after that, and they're like together the rest of the movie. Like Bo's helping them with stuff because Jimmy's like, um, we have a werewolf problem, so like if you want to come with me, we can do this werewolf problem together. Um, so yeah. And then and then at the party or at the what is it uh the club opening night um is where they kind of the movie kind of ends up where everybody ends up being.

Wilson

Yeah, because um I forget how that plays out. Like, doesn't somebody die and they narrow it down to um uh kitty or whatever her name is.

Captain

No, actually, like Ellie's pretty sure that Shake's the werewolf and he confirms that he's a werewolf, but like he says that he's not the one that started all of this, like he's not the OG werewolf, um, which is like really surprising, and I thought he was lying. But I was like really so when when it's like pretty sure that it's not him, um, which yeah. Oh yeah, that's the other thing. Jake's like really weird with her, where he like tries to um tries to like pull her out of her car, and she's like really scared of him at one point. This is like right before the the club opened.

Wilson

Oh yeah.

Parking Garage Hunt And Set Pieces

Captain

Um so it's like seems like he's really aggressive. Like it'll definitely be him. Um and when it's like not him at the club, um, my second thought was like, oh, is it Kyle, like her work best friend? Because he's also like a little suspicious that he's like really interested in her, even though they're just like work besties. Um I was totally, totally not suspecting it to be Judy Greer at all. I was like, I don't know why, but her being the werewolf like never even popped into my head, which is like why I was giving this. Like, I was like, this movie deserves more props. Like I was not, I don't know, maybe you were expecting her to be no, I don't I don't remember expecting that at all.

Wilson

Because I mean they were really heavy-handed about making it sound like Jake.

Captain

And a movie that's 20 years old, I was not expecting it to have a twist.

Wilson

Uh like at least a good twist.

Captain

Yeah, but yeah, it's yeah. So Joni has this like big, you know, reveal where she's the werewolf, and she basically was saying that she's been attacking um Ellie because she wants to be with Jake. Because they had like a couple of like one night stay, or they were in like a situation ship or whatever, and Jake didn't really want to be with her in a relationship, and then he moved on to Ellie, and she was mad about that. So she's been like attacking Ellie and ruining her life in the hopes that her competition will be gone and Jake will be with her. Um she says it in such like a I don't know, she's very drag in like this scene. Like she's very uh I don't know, it's she's very like large with her the way the way she's like saying all of this and like uh Judy Greer is very good at that. She can play those like outrageous characters, yes, outrageous characters outrageous, yes, outrageous. Um so yeah, she's like trans she like transforms into the werewolf and like starts attacking them. Um and I think both Ellie and Jimmy try to fight her back, but like neither one of them have transformed. Like they have some powers, but like they're not nearly as strong as her. And I guess it sounds like she's been a werewolf for a much longer time. Um but I can't remember. Oh, does she I think she leaves the scene because the police are coming?

Wilson

No, I think that isn't that where she dies. It's like I think doesn't she during the fight, she does like hide at one point.

Captain

Uh-huh.

Wilson

And then there's a line that I think is gonna be my razor glass by Frio What I do.

Captain

No, that was gonna be my razor glass.

Wilson

It's like the best part of the movie.

Captain

Yeah, so we can just say it now, but I have it. So yeah, so she hides when the police pull up, and they the police don't believe at least. When she's like, yeah, it's a werewolf attacking us. And they're like, what can you describe? Ellie goes, well, she's hyper skinny. And then she pauses. And then she goes, she's got fat thighs and a and a bony ass. And then there's a pause. And then she goes, and bad skin. Jodie Greer as a werewolf like jumps out and she goes, liar. In werewolf form. It is so funny. Like, and Ellie's saying it with like a smirk, like she knows she's gonna get Judy Greer like riled up. Dude, it's so funny. Like that was my razor glass, too. Um, so then yeah, because she jumps back out in full werewolf form, the police like open fire and shoot her like a bazillion times.

Wilson

Um yeah, it was probably the best scene.

Marks Of The Beast And Suspects

Captain

It really is. Um, and then after that, I think Jake there's like a part where Jake goes missing or something. Um but yeah, I I I think at some I can't remember. It's like there's another fight scene. Um no, Jake shows up at their house. That's what it is. Jake shows up at their house um after this, like after they go home, saying, you know, they think the curse is over. Um, but he's like, no, um we can be together as werewolves together. And like he wants to restart the curse on her with him. And she's like, no. Um, so her and Jimmy like fight him a lot. Um, and then they end up stabbing him with silver, which they talk about silver uh burning werewolves in the movie a couple of times, like it comes up a couple of times, yeah. Um so but yeah, they win and um Zipper is normal again, which as you know, I did check before this that the dog will be fine in the movie. So we knew Zipper would be fine. Um, but yeah, he's normal after this, like because their curse is broken. Everybody below them that was cursed from them is broken too. Um also it doesn't really come up, like it's not really important in the movie, but um Bo, his bully, had a girlfriend that Jimmy was interested in. Um, but obviously those two are not gonna be together anymore. Anyway, the the girl shows up at their house and like Jimmy gets the girl too. Like it's very like you know wrap it up type of type of comedy ending. Um which she was one of the um actor, actresses. I think she's uh I think which one is she? I can't even remember. Um oh, the one with the last name Anna Pow that you we oh okay, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Um but yeah, she's like not important at all, but she uh does she comes up in the very last scene of the movie. Um it's so funny that we have the same razor glass, but it's definitely the best part of the whole movie.

Wilson

Yeah, like it's it's who's not gonna pick that.

Captain

Um Christina Ritchie delivers line like very perfectly. Um, so but yeah, her to be I don't know if we mentioned it, but like so Joni is her boss uh the as this publicist, and like she's very bitchy to Ellie. Like, she's you know, she even makes comments about her being like, oh, the wounded girl. This is before that we know she's a werewolf. That's like the wounded girl that you know the guy would go after to like you know, for that because of the trope or something. Um yeah, she makes a couple of comments, but yeah, so she's like kind of bitchy, so it's nice when she dies, you're it's like you're it's a happy moment, not only because she's the way I woman, but also because she joined was very bitchy in the movie. You wanna give me some numbs or some hot goose?

Wilson

Give me some numbs, yeah. Uh so the budget was 37 to 38-ish million. Um box office is only 29.6. Um Rotten Tomatoes is 16 and 30, uh, with one reviewer quoting being quoted as a predictable plot and cheesy special effects make cursed a less than scary experience.

Captain

Dude, I don't know what they're talking about because I liked this movie. Did you did you rate it already?

Wilson

Uh yes, when I first watched it, and I feel like it's it's reflective of how I felt about the movie at that time.

Captain

I mean, it's the movie's not great. I I think I gave three stars, but if I was gonna give it like a number number, like on a hundred scale. Oh, I don't think we did that last movie. Um I would probably give be a little bit higher than 60, like probably like 66.

Wilson

Okay.

Captain

Or yeah.

Wilson

I think mine would have been a 49. Oh I gave the movie a two and a half.

Captain

Wow. Um I don't know. I just I just I I was not expecting uh ending that I wasn't already like assuming. Um and it was funny.

Wilson

Like I laughed, so yeah, I feel like it's one of those nights where I'm just gonna like I don't know. I need to yeah, be in the mood for something kind of silly and just like go in and have a good time. And then I'll like it.

Captain

Yeah, that the when you get to the hot goose, I don't know if that you knew this hot goose, but apparently like the filming for this movie was crazy.

Wilson

Yeah, I I remember reading a little bit about this when I when I did watch it. Um, but yeah, it sounds like this movie could have been really good. But it's one of those like suffered from the studio interfering too much.

Captain

Yeah, and a really um rough producer. It's Harvey Weinstein.

Wilson

Yeah. Yeah. So I guess like what? Uh they kept asking for reshoots and they wanted it to go from an R movie to PG13, and there were they were gonna have practical effects, but they fired that person and went with computer generated.

Captain

Yeah, which you can tell some of it is very computer generated. Um yeah, but apparently they like originally like it took over two years for them to film this movie because they kept reshooting to get that rating down. Um I mean it says supposedly there's not footage for four films, there's that much footage. That's crazy, and apparently the original director's cut does somebody has it like somewhere, but no one's ever put in the effort to like re-release it. But the director has said that it it lives and it exists somewhere. Like Wes Craven has said that.

Wilson

I was like kind of thinking he maybe I'm he like dis not disassociated, like disconnected himself from this film because like his film like he doesn't they mess it up so much, yeah.

Captain

He doesn't really do horror comedy so much, like his probably original cut of this was way more scary. I s I assume. Um, so I don't know if we'd get that fat thighs line.

Wrestling, Bo’s Reveal, And Zipper

Wilson

I would miss that. I would miss that. Uh, but I guess also because this movie took forever and was in like development hell, they like went through several different cast members, like people that signed on, I guess, that and then didn't end up doing it because of time or whatever. Um, specifically like Heather Langenkamp, um Robert Forster, James Broland, Corey Feldman. There's some others I just didn't remember.

Captain

Scott Foley. You don't recognize Scott Foley? I like do, but I feel like I don't watch Wasn't he just in the deep movie that we watched, or what's that called? Deep Cut or Deep Cut? What was that submarine movie we did?

Wilson

Oh, just yeah, I mean, um, yeah, he was in that.

Captain

We like did just do that.

Wilson

Well, yeah, I thought you meant like the movie like just came out.

Captain

I'm like oh below. Below, yes. But we just did that a couple apps ago.

Wilson

Yeah. Uh yeah, you're right. He wasn't there. Um yeah, I don't know. I I do definitely want to see this director's cut.

Captain

Uh yeah, apparently he said it's never been released, but it exists. But no studio would ever like has ever approached him about releasing it. So it's not like one of those things that got lost in that 2008 fire that comes up sometimes when we do movies. Um I don't know. That I it's they they said it exists, but I don't know if we'd ever get it. It's been like 20 years and it hasn't. So I don't know.

Wilson

Maybe maybe some I don't know. They'll figure it out. He'll release it and some small distribution company will just maybe maybe.

Captain

Um the so this I just wonder, so the scream movies, the very first one okay, was before this. Oh, and the second one was before this movie. Because I this movie almost feels like building blocks to scream, but it's actually after some of them, so maybe not. But it really does feel like if you like scream movies, like I feel like you'd like this movie. It this movie came out between.

Wilson

It feels very that.

Captain

Yeah, like horror definitely has comedy lines. This is just like it like I said, it feels like building blocks, like it's not as flushed out or as funny as Scream is, but it's between this came out between Scream 3 and 4. So I don't know what was happening with you know the writer or whatever, but um I'm I would definitely recommend if you like Scream Movies.

Wilson

I would agree with that.

Captain

Yeah, I don't know. Maybe he didn't do Scream 4. Because it I don't think that came up for him. Um and maybe that's why he did this instead. Um oh no, he did. He did do Scream 4. I don't know. He did all he did all the Scream movies before and after this and still did this. I don't know.

Wilson

Okay. Huh. I just I just got quickly distracted because um I was looking up the list of artists who were affected by that fire in 2008.

Captain

Sir, okay.

Wilson

I didn't realize like how extensive it was.

Captain

I don't I'm not I don't need to go into a deep dive, but like it is, yeah, it's it sounded like hundreds of artists. Yes, yeah, like it sounded insane, and it's come up for this podcast before. I can't remember for why, like which movie, but yeah, it was like devastating. And I feel like don't people don't talk about it as much as maybe because it's been significant time, or like some people wouldn't feel bad for people in millionaires in Hollywood. I don't know, but um yeah, I would like definitely watch a doc on it. I mean, I don't know how much they could say there has to be a document, right? Or a documentary a single doc. Um I don't know. Maybe there is. I I just I I don't think I ever looked for it, maybe.

Wilson

Um yeah, it doesn't it seems like there's just short videos.

Captain

I mean, you tell me that you've watched uh YouTube documentaries before, so oh yeah, like the missile silo one.

Wilson

Yeah, yeah. I don't do that very often, and that was like one of the only ones I've ever done, but I think it's just that was the only place I could find it.

Captain

I wonder if Universal Studios now has like uh more backups or like more firefighting capabilities, like more smoke detectors or better sprinklers, or but that's not for here or there.

Wilson

Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, I'm not sure. I think um one of the big things I don't uh I didn't know how all this worked, but like the original master record of a lot of artists, like that I feel like you couldn't just back up. Like, sure, you could have a copy, so it wouldn't be gone forever, but but it's not like the master copying. Right. That that would be yeah.

Club Night Chaos And A Twist

Captain

I don't know. Um yeah, I I I yeah, I don't know why they're I would like I said I would definitely watch a movie about it, like uh, but yeah, I haven't really seen a lot about it. Like besides it coming up for this. Um yeah. I did put in the trivia like the um link for you if you wanted to look, but I didn't really think any of this stuff was like worth saying. It's basically reiterating that like shooting for this sucked. Um like both like Judy Greer and Russ Graven have said that in different ways. Um yeah.

Wilson

Uh yeah, if if it's not worth looking, I won't yeah, yeah, but I think this is a this movie is a good example of studio. I said this earlier, studio interference, but I think it even if the movie uh you think it's absolutely terrible, it's kind of worth seeing just from that perspective of like here's what a studio can do sometimes.

Captain

Like destroy a movie?

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um there was randomly uh the scene where Jimmy wakes up naked in the bushes. Um I don't know if this is for comedic effect or not, but it's like Jimmy, they they say this in the trivia that Jesse Eisenberg has a stunt as a nude stunt double for him. But dude, it is like so obvious it's not just the eisenberg, like this is a lean, like ripped man from like you can see like his prof like his side profile or like three quarters, and I'm like, there that would never be Jesse Eisenberg, and then he like parkours up the beam of the house to like jump back in a window. I'm like, Avi, Avi, that's not Jesse Eisenberg. Anyway, I it came up in the in the trivia and it just reminded me that um, yeah, but anyway. Um yeah, I I like I said, I liked the movie. I don't think it deserves the rating it has. It probably would be even better if we ever get to see the director's cut. Um, but yeah, maybe you should re-watch it through a different lens.

Wilson

Lens, yeah. Well, if anything, just for that line, the raise of glass.

Captain

That line is so good. Um did you want to say what we're doing next time? Because it's really exciting.

Wilson

Oh, yes. So next time uh it's troll month for the podcast. So we're doing two uh troll-related movies. One of them is what? Troll. And then what's the other the other one?

Captain

It's your Earl movie that you wanted to see.

Wilson

Um the Oh, Ernest. Yes. Oh, okay, perfect. Yeah, I'm excited. I want to show Finn that movie too.

Captain

Yeah, so it's our combo. We usually do like one combo per season. So this is yeah, it's troll and then Ernest Scared Stupid, which is also about trolls. So I've never seen, I don't remember if I've seen Troll, because I think I I don't think I've seen it the original. I think I've seen Leprechaun, which I mix up with Troll.

Wilson

Oh, yeah.

Captain

Um, so I don't so I think both these movies will be new for me.

Wilson

Yeah, I used to get troll and I think um poltergeist confused because like I feel like a little girl disappears. I don't know.

Captain

Um I clearly I don't know anything about trolls besides there's trolls in it. So because I don't I didn't I didn't even know a little girl disappeared.

Wilson

So I th I think so, unless I'm just getting that confused with only poltergeist. I don't know. Um, but yeah, no, that'll be fun. I'm excited for troll month.

Captain

It's so random. Um yeah, do you have any I don't know how you're feeling advice for you? Yeah, I get some advice based on this.

Wilson

Like the next time you're bitten by a werewolf or the next time.

Captain

Um yeah, let's say, yeah, if I'm cursed, how would I I don't even know what you could tell me. Um yeah, let's say I was cursed. I have the mark of the beast.

Wilson

How do I yeah, um I don't know, like I'm just thinking like simple things like how do you walk your dog, or like how do you make like a good uh cappuccino if you're a wolf?

Captain

You know, like just oh like ask them to do tasks and see if they can well I don't know.

Wilson

I'm just thinking like if you woke up tomorrow as a wolf, like are you gonna be able to make your coffee like your special coffee in the morning? Like there's a lot of I don't know.

Captain
