The film discussion begins around: 14:55.

Cookies, Freezing, And Salt

Captain

Where we at? How we doing?

Wilson

Doing good. We are doing good. I just had a cookie.

Captain

A cookie.

Wilson

A cookie. Yeah, I made some last week and I froze half of them and wait.

Captain

You cooked them and froze them?

Wilson

Well. I like half of them I froze, because I was like, I'm not gonna eat these fast enough and they're gonna get dry.

Captain

So you can freeze cooked baked cookies?

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

And they're fine. Yeah. I guess Insomnia like has them cold. But how long can you keep them like that and they're fine?

Wilson

And they're not like Well, they don't they don't last that long. I've never like frozen them for longer than a couple weeks.

Captain

Couple weeks? Just make like half the batter.

Wilson

No, no, no, no, no.

Captain

You can freeze batter.

Wilson

I mean, I d because like I've I took a frozen cookie out, I microwaved it for you know under a minute, and it's just fine. It is just fine.

Captain

I feel like it'd be making me uh just want a better cookie.

Wilson

Well, I don't know, it's still good. I've been like tweaking this recipe for a couple years, like one I found online. Is this the peanut butter one? No, it's just a chocolate chip cookie.

Captain

Uh oh.

Wilson

It's my favorite one.

Captain

Tweaking.

Wilson

Well, yeah, I was like, well, you know, the original recipe didn't call for brown butter, so I like I did that, but I had to adjust it a little bit. I don't know. Stuff like that.

Captain

That's fair. You salt your chocolate chip cookies?

Wilson

Um, I don't like salt them in the end, but there's just salt in the recipe.

Captain

Uh oh. You should like just a little on the top. Just a tiny bit on the tooth uh like a single.

Wilson

You know, I um I followed a TikTok recipe during COVID of like how to bake like a single cookie. Um it had way too much salt on it, or at least like per the recipe, but when I had it, I was like, this is disgusting.

Captain

Ooh. No, just like a tiny bit on the top to counteract this extra sweetness. Um why why do you put this in my face? Like I have it like I have a chocolate chip cookie available to me. I definitely don't.

Meatless Baked Ziti Quest

Wilson

You can make them.

Captain

Oh my gosh, okay. I've been having this like I'm just gonna I'll just say, having this really intense interest in having baked CD, which I never I don't know why. Well, what whatever. Um, but I've like really wanted some baked CD, and like every place ever that makes baked CD puts meat in it. Like they're all meat recipes. Anyway, Jay made me baked CD because I like wanted it. Okay, I don't know if you can see this. It was so good.

Wilson

I mean but Okay, I'll just say it too.

Captain

Okay. Um it was like so good, and then it like made like five meals, so I still have baked CD that I'm bringing to lunch.

Wilson

Oh hell yeah. Are you are you eating any meat like turkey, or is it people in like no no no?

Captain

I mean I can like I still eat chicken and turkey, but that's like super weird inside baked CD. Most but like you'd have to he said like you have to literally type in meatless baked CD to get a meatless recipe, because I guess it traditionally comes with meat in it. But do you remember that Italian place in the commons or in the um what is that called? Not the commons, the um in the hub that like Sabaro? Was it Sabaro? There was a place that would serve pasta. Was it Sabaro that served pasta?

Wilson

I feel like that might have been Sabaro.

Captain

Really?

Wilson

I could be wrong, but I but they serve pasta at Sabaro.

Captain

I don't think I've ever been to any other Sabaro, to be honest.

Wilson

But do you remember how you walked to that location? Because if it's where the Sabaro was. I I guess it doesn't matter, but it was in the back somewhere.

Captain

I don't remember. It's hard because they changed it, they've changed that building since when we went to school there, and then I like mix up new building with like old building because like it's so because I've been in that, I got we spent some time in there, and now I'm like I don't know where anything was. Anyway, I feel like I used to be. Yeah, where sorry, where were you going with that idea? I feel like I used to get a square of baked city there, and I don't think there was meat in it. But every other place that like has baked city, they're like, so good, and it's all of meat. I'm just like, that's not what I want.

Wilson

I just made um tonight I made a turkey ground sorry, ground turkey meatloaf.

Captain

Mmm. I had turkey burgers for dinner, so we're on the same wavelength. Hell yeah. Um yeah, I'd be maybe ground turkey would be okay in there, but it's just not necessary. It's like that's fair. It's good the way it is, but anyway.

Wilson

Do you like um not to stay on the topic of pasta, but I'm gonna ask anyway. Um, do you like um uh bolognese?

Captain

Um I've had it before, but uh it's usually not my pick. Like I'm gonna.

Wilson

I fucking love bolognese. If it's on the menu, I'm like, I'm getting it.

Captain

A fiend for bolognese.

Wilson

Ugh. I it's such a bitch to make at home, but yeah.

Captain

But the first time Jay ever ordered it, he like pronounced it the way it's spelled, and the waiter was like, You mean bolognese?

Wilson

And I was like, Yeah, sometimes I don't order things on menus if I just no, I can't say it because I'm like, I don't want to do it.

Captain

Oh, sorry, I point. I'm not I point. I'm like this one. If I can reasonably do it, yeah, but or I'll like cut the word that's like hard to say. I'll be like, this chicken.

Wilson

Yeah, but then sometimes they're like, what?

Captain

Hey everybody. Yeah, that's fair. I uh I just you know, I remember I went to one like very Italian restaurant, like a more authentic, and I ordered the bruschetta, and they're like, one bruschetta, and I was like, motherfucker, I'm so fucking stupid.

Wilson

Well, okay, I do feel like that is a word that okay, yes, there is a I think a technical correct term, but like more colloquially people say it like I think a lot of people say bruschetta.

Captain

I know, but the like the waiter had like like even that like the owners were Italian, the waiter was Italian, and he like he was like, Right, one bruschetta, and I was like, I feel like I want to just kill myself, but okay. Um big C was good. Um I would not recommend if you have a dairy issue.

Wilson

Oh, there's this looks like a lot of dairy, but that does look like bang in CD.

Captain

It lasts for so long. So long.

Wilson

And it's probably like pretty easy to make, too, right?

Captain

Like Yeah, it's just like a pat one box of pasta and then like gazillion cheese.

Wilson

You wanna like I mean, slide me that recipe maybe? Or do I just like look up baked CD and I don't know.

Captain

I'll have to let me ask, let me ask him where he Okay, I I had one intro thing I wanted to discuss it.

Slappy In The Window Story

Wilson

Okay.

Captain

I don't know if you looked in here. Okay, so do you know who Charlie McCarthy is?

Wilson

Um is he not is he the isn't he the ventriloquist thing?

Captain

Yeah, so Charlie McCarthy's actually the name of the dummy, and the ventriloquist was Edgar Bergen, who used his dummy, Charlie McCarthy, in like a bunch of movies in the 30s. Um and then apparently this dummy made an appearance in the Muppet movie in 1979. So, what we know as Charlie McCarthy is Slappy from Goosebumps. And I told you I had a neighbor, my my current neighbor that's directly across the street, has a sloppy in their window, and they move this bitch. Every day he's doing something different. He's either facing the window or he's reading a book or he's turned away from the window or his profile to the window. They like have him, they like has a hat that he takes on and off. I'm like, what the fuck? I like I need to know who these people are. Anyway, they walked out of their house one day, and uh we said hi. And as they were they were getting in their car, we just said like hi as a friendly neighbor. And I was like, I'm sorry. You're the ones with the slap me in the window. They were like, yeah. I was like, you have got I've been like dying to like know like what's the deeds. Like, tell me what's going on. Like you gotta, and they actually were like so touched, like not touched, but they were like, that was like very they were like happy that somebody had noticed.

Wilson

Yeah, like the middle of another day.

Captain

Yeah, but they said I I called him Slappy, and he was like, she she she was like actually, so we know him as Slappy, but and then she told me about that he's Charlie McCarthy, which I don't think I realized that. Like in my head, he that just that would always be slappy. But she was saying that apparently her mom wanted to be like a famous ventriloquist. Now, she used the word like wanted, which is implied like her mom didn't get very far in that field, because how the fuck do you get far in that field? Um, but her mom wanted to be like a famous ventriloquist. She even like put out a couple albums, like records, about being a ventriloquist. Um, but you know, she doesn't do it anymore. And sh basically they her daughter found this, the neighbor, her daughter found this doll in the basement or whatever, and it had like a broken jaw and like there were some pieces missing. Anyway, they restored it, and then she just decides to have fun with it in the window. And she I was like, Do you do any ventriloquism? She was like, Hell no. But she does she does change his uh yeah, his hat and his the what he's doing in the like he sometimes they'll have like different props that he's like holding or like you know sitting on, or it's got his like a little dog bed in there that he I love that they do that. Like I've seen him in probably like eight different positions. Yeah.

Wilson

Did I did I tell you I had a Charlie McCarthy Ventolo Castal in like middle school?

Captain

No. No, what did you actually like try to use it?

Wilson

No, it just was ended up I mean, I I don't know how I ended up with it, but I wanted it, I guess. But I had him for a couple years.

Captain

I always a little creeper, huh? Yeah, yeah.

Wilson

Yeah, I don't know what happened to him, but I can still remember how weird his plastic smelled.

Captain

Yeah, apparently when they're like vintage and they're like really good quality, they sell for like a lot of money, but Oh, I think mine was just like a cheap mass market kid's toy.

Porch Geese And Neighbor Vibes

Wilson

Yeah, gotcha. But I love that your neighbors do that. I've been wanting to get one of those, um it's a similar vein, but like those like uh stone porch geese that you dress up for holidays.

Captain

I love those.

Wilson

Because like I don't have the window for a ventral castal, but I could put a a stone goose on our you know by our front door.

Captain

You know, you could even like if you got I don't know if you put sewing away for right now, but you could even get back into sewing and making your own outfits.

Wilson

That's true. Actually, that wouldn't be that hard to turn out.

Captain

I'm sure and I'm sure there's already pre um what do they call those? Not a set, but um like a template or something? Yeah, like a template. Yeah, there's a specific word for sewing. I don't think it's template, but yeah, but like a template of a goose of like that specific goose that you could just buy your own fabric.

Wilson

I I need to acquire the goose. Now we're cooking. Oh. But yeah, that is a good idea.

Captain

Are they stone? I thought they were plastic.

Wilson

Well, my grandmother had a stone one, and I think those don't blow away. I mean, I think now they're generally plastic and you fill them with like sand or something, but if I were to get one, I want like a stone one.

Captain

I could see that. Yeah, they're like um big story, like not big, but like viral stories of like videos I see of people posting them. There was that girl that um gifted her this was like months ago, but I saw on TikTok there was this girl that like gifted her neighbor like goose outfits because she and then wrote a letter that like she loved it so much. Oh, and then uh did you see that? But apparently like the husband of the couple was the one that was doing it, and then he passed away, and then the wife like wrote a note back, and I was like, Oh my god. Nice there's lore. But yeah, I feel like people get kicked out of it.

Wilson

Yeah, like they're almost a little choogy. Am I using that word correctly?

Captain

But like I I think if you have real if you have fun with them, like with outfits, I don't think they're that bad.

Wilson

That's true.

Captain

I get like a Steelers outfit, and then like everyone would be like, Yeah, you get all those people, yeah. Are there people on your black that have like stealers' flags or like something? I don't know.

Wilson

There's a lot of various flags in this neighborhood. Uh yeah, I'm sure somebody does.

Captain

There's a neighbor a couple doors. I mean, people love the Maryland flag, love that shit, but uh there's a neighbor a couple doors down that has like the big like five-foot Maryland flag. I'm like, guys.

Wilson

I don't love my state that much.

Captain

Uh I mean it's I mean it's hey, it's a nice flag, but I just I don't know. It's not necessary. I met their yeah, met their met the neighbors. I wrote their names down in here. Not that I was gonna say them, but just so I didn't forget them.

Wilson

Okay.

Captain

Just so I didn't forget their names. Um, but yeah, they're pretty cool. And they said they lived on this block for like four years now.

Wilson

So are they around our age?

Captain

Oh yeah. Yeah, they should be right around our age, I think. Yeah.

Wilson

Nice. So like do you think you'd hang out with them?

Captain

Uh I guess. You know, it's weird. I don't think I've seen them since that weekend. It's like things are things are starting to get warm. People start doing stuff, so.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Yeah. Alright. Do you want to pop it in? Do you want to bring us in? Bring Yan in.

Wilson

I'll bring all in.

Welcome And Bring Her Back Setup

Captain

Oh, I told him to send this to you, but he sent it to me. Okay, I'll just send it to you. Anyway, okay, welcome to the 193rd episode of the Red Run Podcast, where we review horror movies while enjoying an adult beverage or two. And I'm Captain.

Wilson

And I'm Wilson.

Captain

And this week we're reviewing the 2025 Australian supernatural folk horror film, Bring Her Back. I keep wanting to call this Bring Her Home, which I know is not right.

Wilson

I get these movies confused, like this one in Talk to Me. I'm just like, I have to think for a minute which one's which. I mean, it shouldn't be that hard, but they're just like the titles are like very similar and it's like the same creative.

Captain

Something about Talk to Me, because like Talk to the Hand was such like a thing people would say, and then like I I immediately think of the hand. Like and then this movie was oh gosh, directed by the brothers, Danny and Michael Philippau. I have no idea if I'm butchering that. Um they're known for their horror comedy YouTube videos, and they have a streamy award. And then obviously they I think they wrote Talk to Me, which was right before this movie Bring Her Back.

Wilson

And they're doing a Are they doing a third movie? I thought I heard maybe. I thought I heard in this universe they were planning to do a third.

Captain

That sounds like a possibility.

Wilson

I could just be bananas, though.

Captain

Sorry. It just cracked.

Wilson

I was like, what did I say?

Captain

No. No, the thunder crack. Audacity has to pick that up. That was so loud. My god. I hope we don't lose power while we're doing this. Let's just talk fast. I don't see anything about a third movie, but there might be.

Wilson

I see a maybe talk to me too.

Captain

Oh. Fine.

Wilson

So I was half wrong.

Captain

Half right. Um this movie was also oh yeah, streaming board. Okay, so for cast, um, we have um a brother sister. So Andy, I always do this. Bill Barrett, Bill, Billy Barrett, as Andy, who's the 17-year-old boy. He became the youngest winner of the International Emmy Award for Best Actor at the age of 13 for his role in Responsible Child. It's probably some Australian movie, and then he was in an Apple TV show Invasion. Did you watch that?

Wilson

No, I've heard of it though.

Captain

And then her his younger sister Piper is played by Sora Wong, who is a visually impaired younger stepsister. Wong actually has zero acting experience before this movie. Her mom saw the casting call for, I guess, a visually impaired child, and she just auditioned for it.

Wilson

That's wild.

Captain

Like you in that other movie coming soon.

Wilson

What movie?

Captain

Your background character that you did.

Wilson

Oh.

Captain

That your like arm is in it or something in the trailer.

Wilson

Yeah, we'll see.

Captain

Um, and then uh Sally Hawkins plays Lara, who um is their foster mom, I guess, in this movie. Um she is Mary Brown in the Paddington movies, so the mom. Love those Paddington movies. 100%. Um she's also Eliza in the Shape of Water. That's that weird bestiality movie.

Wilson

I know you don't want to watch it, but I yeah.

Captain

We'll see. I will have some downtime where supposedly I should find things to watch. So for like the first for like two months or something. Um so we'll see. Um and then she's done a lot of theater work. And then we have Jonah Wren Phillips, who plays Ollie in this movie, which is another foster child, um, known for this, and he's also known for Theo in season three of Netflix's Sweet Tooth. Sweet Tooth is such a weird show. Have you seen it? It's really good, but it's weird.

Wilson

I think I added it to my list a while ago, but I've never seen it.

Captain

It's like shocking it's like surprisingly good. I wouldn't say it's like the best thing I've ever watched, but like it's not when you watch the trailer, you're like, the fuck is this? But it's actually it's actually pretty good. It's just like super weird. Um and then the only other cast member in this movie is a social worker named Wendy, who is played by Sally Ann Upton, and she's known for some Australian soap opera called Neighbours with a U.

Wilson

A U.

Captain

I saw you click on responsible child. Is that is it worth clicking on?

Wilson

Oh, uh, I don't know.

Captain

I was just curious what he won an award for.

Wilson

Yeah, there's not much there. So I don't know.

Captain

His acting was good in this movie. You can kind of tell Piper's never acted before.

Wilson

Like Yeah, I don't really re I mean, I just feel like kids in movies, I'm like, when they're that young, I'm like, uh I'm not expecting yeah, I'm not expecting an I mean, you know, a Grammy.

Captain

No, what's the no Oscar Oscar Scott Scott Um Yeah. Anyway, yeah, it's mainly the two kids and the foster mom.

Orphans Enter A Strange Foster Home

Captain

So the movie starts out with just like clips of like weird cult type shit videos. They're not in English. Um, I don't know what's going on, but they're kind of nasty. Like there's weird half-naked people that are grody. I don't know what's going on.

Wilson

Like an abandoned warehouse or something.

Captain

It's very dark in the they're like camcorder videos. Like they're like you can tell they're like kind of shaky, you know, icky. Anyway, that's just the opening. And then, yeah, icky picky. And then um, Piper is at school. Um, you can tell she doesn't like have a ton of friends. I don't know, she's like partially bullied, and then her brother picks her up from school. Seems like her brother takes care of her a lot. Like, again, she's visually impaired. She can see some stuff, but not a lot. Um, but very early in the movie, they find out that they're Piper's dad. Um sorry, Piper and Andy are step siblings. Um, anyway, we find out that the father, um, Phil, uh, dies in a shower. Now, in the Wikipedia it says he was undergoing cancer treatment. I don't remember where the fuck they said that in the movie. It just looks like he like I don't know, vomited and died.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um, but he's done the shower, um, the kids obviously. You know, that's tough on them. But they basically basically you don't see a lot of it in that scene. Like you see them very briefly kind of like panicking, but like it cuts very quickly to them in the in Wendy's office in the foster care system getting you know uh put with some woman, um, which originally they the woman didn't want to take Andy, the older brother, but um basically like they don't want to get separated. And he said that in three months he's turning 18 and he's gonna apply for guardianship anyway. Like him and Piper obviously don't want to be split up, so um, like they've been, you know, siblings for probably like you know over a decade or something. Um so they're sent to live with a former count counselor named Lara, who um very quickly you can tell is like pretty eccentric. Um she I don't know, when they get there, she's like music's blaring. She like has them touch her taxidermy dog. I know you say you haven't watched this in a while, but I don't know if you remember, like even her first introduction is very weird.

Wilson

Um yeah, my recollection of her was that I mean it was weird, but also she seems just like maybe a fun, quirky person.

Captain

A kookie. Yeah, she does she's like cursing, like she's like um not cursing at them, but she's like basically like repeating you know some funny thing her father used to say and it had curse words in it. She wants to take a photo of them like pretty quickly after they get there. She just covers Andy's whole head with her head while she does it, which is like such a dig, but um, you can tell she doesn't like care about Andy much. Um they meet the other boy in the house, Ollie, who definitely seems really creepy and has selective, she says is selectively mute and needs a lot of care. Um but he's pretty unsettling. Like he does a lot of staring, he seemed to want to hurt a cat, which again, a lot of cat hurting.

Wilson

He doesn't actually at this month's theme, I guess.

Captain

He doesn't actually like hurt the cat, but basically it seems like if he the cat gets taken away from him, and if he kept the cat, we don't know what would happen. I think the first night Lara goes through um Andy's phone, which is very upsetting to Andy, obviously. In that message, she's like talking to her friend about how his foster home's like fine or whatever, but there's another foster kid here that's weird. And Lara like literally picks up his phone and looks through it, and then he's you know, jumps at her and like you know, takes his phone back, and she she's like mad that he called Ollie weird. The whole scene is just it's just like an unsettling feeling the whole time you're watching her like interact with people. Um the Andy when Andy wakes up, it it seems like he peed himself in bed, so he's like washing his clothes and very um uh I don't know, like it almost seems like he's he's like regressing because the trauma. Um and he's very traumatized, like he doesn't want to shower. Um, he's like very scared of the shower. Um I feel like the first and then there's some like creepy shots in the middle of the night of again this like Cam Corter creepy video and Lara doing weird things with Ollie in like the greenhouse or something, but we don't get a lot, like you don't get a lot of backstory. Um the first scene that like really took me out though was when they are at the they're at their dad's funeral. Lara comes to this funeral in a floral dress, a bright lilac cardigan. She's got red hoops on that are like bright, they're like bright red hoops, hoop earrings. I'm like, girl, what the fuck? Like everybody else in this funeral is in black. And like even if you're like this should be a celebration of life, it's like this just feels disrespectful.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

It just feels so weird. And she's just like, I don't know, she seems like she just wants to stir the pot. It's like a shit stir. Um she also brings up the fact, like, at this funeral, um Piper asks Andy to like describe stuff to her a lot because she can't see, andy Piper asks, How does her dad look in the coffin? Like, does he look good? And he says yes. But as the audience, we see that he doesn't even look at the guy. And then, of course, Lara says that he didn't even look at him in front of Piper again to like stir the pot, and Piper's mad about that. But then she forces him to go back inside to say goodbye because he was like, She was like, This is the last time you were to say goodbye to him, and then she like wants him to kiss him on the lips, the the corpse. Oh yeah, like it's so creepy. Oh, and also while they're at the funeral, we see that Ollie gets locked in his room, which I'm like, the fuck? So he gets locked in there while they're gone, like he can't be in the house um without them, and he's yeah, abusive. Um, so anyway, they come back uh the kissing on the lips thing is it's weird, whatever. They come back, and then she's like, Let's get drunk, like Lara. And she even starts giving Piper alcohol, which I think she's like 13 maybe, and Andy's originally very against it, but I think he's so stressed out and so traumatized that he just like lets it go, and they all get like shit faced that night together, and it's like seems like they honestly like the kids like Andy like thanks her for like the fun night and like taking his his mind off stuff, but I'm like the whole time again, it's like unsettling as an adult watching this from the outside, being like, Oh, all of this is bad decisions, and like I didn't and I think I was getting nervous during the scene because so far I had been getting the feeling like she's trying to drive a wedge between the two kids and to make um Andy look like the bad guy, so maybe he's taken away.

Wilson

So I'm like, how's she gonna spin this? Oh, on him. Yeah.

Captain

Hmm. I didn't think about it that way. I just remember I just remember being like, oh, as a foster parent, especially, like, how are you doing this? And then during that, like, towards the end of the night, we find out that Lara um had a daughter that also was visually impaired and she drowned in a pool. Daughter named Kathy. So like she's him and Andy talk about that because he's asking her, like, how do I get over the this person dying? And we also find out that her that his stepfather um uh used to like beat him. Uh basically, where's it say? Um he said that his dad married Piper's mom. No. Pipe no, his mom married Piper's dad, right? I keep mixing up who the parents are.

Wilson

I don't I just I forget. No, no, no, no, no, no.

Captain

I think it was his biological father. It doesn't really matter, but uh it yes, he said his dad married Piper's mom, and when he did that, it sounded it it like to Andy, it felt like his dad had finally found the family that he always wanted, which is not the family that he had, basically. And he loved Piper, his stepdaughter, and like would take great care of her and like spend a lot of time with her, but he ignored his son. And Andy used to like get in trouble at school to like just get attention from his father, but all that usually ended up in was him being like beaten at home. And he would usually do it when like Piper wasn't even home, or when Piper was home, he would do it in the bathroom in the shower with the water going, so like she couldn't hear it. So now he's double traumatized from the shower. Like we find out there was like beatings happening in there, and that guy died. His his father died in the shower. So um he said that like you know, that's why he kind of didn't want to look at him in the funeral. Um but Piper loved him because he he seemed to take good care of Piper. Um anyway, then we find that when he passes out. Sorry, the thunder is so loud. When he passes out, I feel like you I feel like I can see Audacity picking it up.

Manipulation, Trauma, And The Shower

Captain

Um when he when Andy goes to sleep that night, Lara gets up, peas in a cup in the bathroom, and then um pours it on his crotch. So he's actually not wetting himself in the middle of the night. Lara is making him seem like he's wedding himself in the middle of the night.

Wilson

Such a terrible person.

Captain

Yeah, oh my god, it makes you so mad when you're watching this. And it's also like just gross. Um, but she's like, oh shit, shit. And she like runs and like makes sure that she can time this. So like I don't know, it's it's the whole thing's nasty. Um so he's not even doing that, and you're like, okay, she's definitely out to get him. And she even like talks about him wedding the bed in front of Piper the next morning to like embarrass him even more. Um Piper and Lara leave the house to go shopping, and she says to him, Don't let Ollie out of his room. Which, of course, Andy is like, let's Ollie out of his room because he I guess wants to connect with somebody, and he he doesn't it. I don't think he realizes that the room's supposed to be locked, because again, early in the movie, the the bathroom door was locked and they had to jam it open to um you know to check on their dad that wasn't answering. So it's like a call back to that scene where he's like, Oh shit, is your door locked and it's not supposed to be? Like, let me unlock it for you. Anyway, very quickly that turns bad. Um, Ollie's creepy as fuck, um, can't communicate. He gives him a piece of fruit up, like uh stabbed with a knife, hands him the knife, and of course he starts like slicing his face open with this knife.

Wilson

He's like chewing on the knife.

Captain

He's like chewing on it, yes. Um, so it like slices his whole face open and he's like bleeding and coughing and is uh he gets all crazy. And Andy tries to take him to the hospital, but he starts to cross this white line on the property line, and he's like, you know, gets even more sick. Like he's I don't know, feels like his body's being destroyed, and he like can't breathe. And just as he's like trying to bring him over this white line, Lara comes back home and is like freaking out. That's like, why is he outside? She's like screaming and crying, and he basically seems like he's on the brink of death, but Lara can kind of bring him back. Well, they want to take him to the hospital, and Lara's like, no, I can fix this at the hospital, which is a huge red flag.

Wilson

Doesn't he like whisper help me or something when he crosses the line?

Captain

Yeah, there's a s there's a small moment where he's cognizant enough to say to Andy, help me. Also, during the scene with the fruit, we he handed Andy handed Ollie a pen, a pencil and paper and said, I wanna, you know, you said you're selectively mute, like maybe we can communicate with you writing, but we don't actually see him write anything um until later. Um I think I think it's around is it right after the scene? I don't know. It's right around this scene when she Laura basically disappears with Ollie in a room for a long time. We see them watch these like creepy videotapes again, like somehow that's helping. And then she's like rubbing his skull. I don't know. Gets him in like a trance again where he's like okay, but obviously his he's like all disgusting in his face now because he's like sliced open. Um and she's like big mad at Andy. Um but Andy goes to the piece of paper that was in the kitchen and it says bird on it. I don't know if you remember that. But he wrote bird in like little kid letters. Um and I think that night, oh, at the funeral she cut a piece of her of their dead father's hair off. Cut a little slunk of his hair. I think she makes Ollie eat it, and then Ollie can like possess the power of their dead dad. Because there's a scene where again she tries to get Andy to go in the shower, and while he's in the shower, he's like visited by the spirit of his dead dad, like saying stuff to him and like freaking him out. Right. Enough to the point where he like slips on water. He's like trying to run, and he slips on water and he smashed his head into the into the tile. Um the vision of his dad says that she will she will die in the rain, is what it says, is what he is one of the things that he says. Um so he remembers that when he wakes up. But he wakes up in the hospital and um he basically like has a concussion. So he's in there for a couple of days, but he's terrified that Piper's gonna get hurt. And he even tells Lara, like, don't let her go outside in the rain, which of course the next immediate scene is them playing in the rain outside. Like, of course. Um and then there's like a weird scene where she like slips that you know, she let it slip that like she killed their father. Like, I don't know, she did some voodoo shit from a distance, but she like says that briefly, and then it's just Andy plays it off like he's partially still concussed, like he thinks he heard it wrong. I don't remember that. But um, yeah, and then things really turn. Um Kathy no Lara puts Piper in like Kathy's clothing, asks Piper if she would be okay to stay with them after Andy turns 18, and she basically rejects that idea. She's like, No, I really wanted to um like Andy and I were kind of excited to get our own place, and like, you know, we'll still visit you, but like that's our plan is to like live together as our family. And then she tells Piper she wants to show her something else, which again, Piper can't see, so it's all with feeling, but she makes her she opens the freezer in the greenhouse, and it's of course her dead daughter Kathy that drowned in this pool years uh a year ago or something, and she makes her touch this dead body in the freezer and calls it quote unquote meat. Yeah, it's gross. Um and then the um we also see Lara. Oh, I think Andy comes home briefly. He like gets released from the hospital. Um, but Lara sprays herself down with body spray in the middle of the night, um, Andy's body spray, like, you know, basically like axe, and then smashes Piper's face in the middle of the night as hard as she possibly can. And of course, Piper can't see who it was, but could smell it was Andy's body spray. So she they blame Andy the next morning, and she has this like gigantic black eye. And then Andy and Lara get in this like huge fight about um like who did this, or you know, like they end up like throwing things and punching, and Piper can't see, she's the only witness, but she can't see it. So she's going off of Lara's like uh over-the-top acting, like she does a lot of screaming and like oh I'm hurt, and like um, so she like honestly puts herself between the two and says to Andy, like you need to stop, um, which frustrates Andy even more.

The Missing Child Poster Reveal

Captain

Um so he drives off, wants to bring Piper with him, but Piper won't go, and he goes immediately to the back to the counselor, Wendy, to report what happened. Of course, Laura already called and said that Andy punched Piper. So like there's like kind of a back and forth about how you know they don't really believe him, but they're Ollie is actually a missing persons, and there's a poster in the um in the um you know, Child Protective Services office, and that poster, he's like, This child is at Lara's house. Like, you need to go there and save this child. Um like things are you know, something's wrong with him, you know. I don't I think Piper's unsafe. He he has enough, he has enough um like emotion in the scene that Wendy actually believes him, and instead of calling ahead of time, she actually is like, all right, let's just drive over there and do a drop-in. Now, Wendy doesn't really want to do that because Lara was a previous counselor. But I think I imagine there's they're supposed to do random drop-ins, and they probably don't do them as frequently as they should on somebody that was a counselor, you know?

Wilson

Yeah. Like something obviously is fishy enough that it's like, okay, let's just check it out.

Captain

It's probably fine, but but I'm saying, like, she was probably due for like a CPS drop-in. Like, I'm I'm sure they do random drop-ins, so well.

Wilson

Did they know for sure that she was like that she had Oliver? Because wouldn't Wendy have seen the poster in their office and be like, Well, that's that kid, you're just calling him Oliver. Like what's the other one?

Captain

Oh, sorry. Yeah, his name was something else. I can't remember. Connor.

Wilson

Oh, but I guess they still need to check in on the two kids, yeah.

Captain

Yeah, that but he was like, This child, this missing child that's on this poster is in that house. And I I'm sure she was like, Okay, well, you know, I don't think that's really true, but we might as well we should go check it out if somebody's saying that they sought like they cited this missing child. Um, and yeah, they probably are supposed to drop in. So, um and then, yeah, actually, I think um I think um Andy even tells her that she's calling this kid Ollie, and she's like, that's weird. Ollie was the name of her nephew, um, but that's obviously not the name of this child. Uh they don't really explain if the nephew's like dead or I don't know, not part of her life. I'm not really sure. But in the car ride to the house, um, Lara or sorry, Andy leaves a message for Piper on her phone about like, you know, I'm so sorry that like I I want to keep you safe and I love you, and like Lara's not, you know, a good person and she's not there to help you. And he even admits that although he did not hurt her this time, there was a the he was like a troubled child, like he had something on his record that Piper didn't know about, and he said it was one time he did hit Piper when he was eight years old, and she was young enough that she doesn't even remember, like she must have been a baby, but like a report was made about it by his parents, I guess. Um, and he was like, he feels bad about it every single day, and whatever. At this point, Piper's not in the house, she's at like some you know, YMCA or something, like she's at the gym for a few hours. Um, and Lars in the house uh with Ollie, and he's making like an absolute mess. Like he's throwing milk everywhere, the kitchen's a mess, he's like smashing mirrors, like he's just made like a gigantic mess in the house.

Wilson

Is this where he's like eating the table?

Captain

Yeah, he's like he starts, yeah, he's eating a table made of wood, um, and his teeth are like cracking and stuff. Um he even gets in a fight with Lara where he like eats a he like takes a bite of her arm and then he takes a bite of his own arm, so she's like bleeding everywhere. Um and then while Andy's leaving this message, Lara basically has Piper's phone and is listening to the whole thing, and at the very end of the message, she hears Wendy being like, We'll sort this all out, Bub, or whatever, and she's like, Oh shit. So she knows that they're on the way there, and then there's like this panic clean, and they're like they put on this like uh upbeat music, like the music she had on when they first introduced her into the movie, and she's like panic cleaning, she's just like throwing shit in the sink or in a you know a trash can or like just enough that it's like clean enough. Um I don't know, it's kind of funny, but you're like, god damn it, like why why did she have to hear that part? Um and then when they get there, at first things seem okay. Like when Mendy sees stuff, you know, the house looks like relatively okay. She doesn't like do a thorough check because you know she doesn't think there's much here. She tells Andy to stay in the car, but of course he doesn't. He goes straight to the greenhouse where Ollie gets locked a lot of the

Freezer Horror And Total Collapse

Captain

times. Um and Andy goes in there, uh breaks it open, and finds Ollie actively eating the carcass, uh, the corpse of Kathy.

Wilson

Nasty.

Captain

Disgusting. Like eating the eyes out of the out of the frozen body. And then Wendy in the house originally was gonna kind of like, you know, tuck it all away, like, you know, check off the boxes, everything looks fine. But then the bite, the chunk out uh out of Lara's arm starts bleeding, and she's like, You're bleeding. And sh Lara just can't play it off. Like everything crumbles that she just this like facade that she just put on for 15 minutes, like just crumbles. And she just is like, Wendy, I can bring her back, like I can bring her back, and she's like, you know, clawing at Her being like, just let just you know, don't you love me? Like, haven't we been friends for a long time? Like, I just need to do this. So it just everything kind of just you know, uh whatever.

Wilson

It goes to level 10 and just like batshit.

Captain

Yeah, it just falls apart. And so, like, she's like clawing at Wendy, and Wendy clearly does not, you know, wants to get away from her and is screaming at her, like, stop. And then Andy comes in and is like, Wendy, you have to see this, and shows her Ollie actively still eating the corpse in the freezer. Um, and so she's like freaking out. They try to get back in the car to leave. And Lara just fucking bulldozes the two of them with her own car, like full force in the driveway, just over both of them. Somehow, uh Andy doesn't die, like he's wheezing, and then we watch her drown him in a puddle. Just like so horrible. I was so disappointed that he like died, or yeah, yeah. And and the it's like even more layers because her child died by drowning. So like now she's forcefully drowning a child that she's not even gonna like use for this ritual she wants to do. And I'm like, Jesus Christ, lady. Um and then she gets Piper back. Um basically, when Piper comes back into the house, she can she kind of hears Andy, it's just Ollie being weird. Ollie the thing, the demon inside Ollie being weird, whatever. Um, and she can tell that Lara's being weird. Um, and she also catches Lara in a lie. She like feels Ollie's hair, and it's like he's basically bald, but Lara used Lara told her in the beginning of the film that he has like long curly red hair, which when she felt it, it's obviously not long curly hair. Um, so because of the weirdness and the lie, she like starts running. Doesn't get very far, but um, she finds Andy's dead body in the bat in the bathroom, like of course, in the sh on the shower floor. Why not? Why not more torture? Why not more trauma? And then she basically tells her like um there's an angel inside Ollie, and that angel is going to get you, allow you to bring Kathy's spirit back inside of yourself.

Wilson

What a creative description of her, like for her to describe that. Like, sure. She does Piper.

Captain

Piper, the angel's gonna put Kathy inside of you, and she's like, What? Like, please don't hurt me, is what Kathy is what Piper says. And she's like, Alright, love, um, we're just gonna drown you in the pool right now. And she's like, What? Um, so yeah, there's a big fight scene of like putting her in the pool and she's fighting and she's screaming. Um, you know, and Ollie's getting prepared to like put demon in put Kathy inside her, so he's like, this whole movie, his body's like barely held together. It's like bubbly, and his eyes are red, and like basically there's like a spirit inside of him that clearly shouldn't be in there. Like it's rejecting what's happening inside of his body. Like he looks icky, icky and dumpy and ill and nasty. Um, and his stomach's like bubbling at this point because I guess he's supposed to like vomit Kathy's spirit into Piper's body as soon as she dies. Of course, with all the science backing to that. Um, but in the last second before Piper drowns, she calls Lara mom, which Lara asked her to call her mom in the beginning of the movie, and she said no, or earlier in the movie. And when she calls her mom, it makes Lara stop and it sounds like Kathy. And it's enough for Lara to like reconsider everything she's doing and let Piper get away, basically. So, and then we see Ollie like vomit out dark reddish-blackish spirit gook on the floor, so it like it doesn't go anywhere. Um, but yeah, Piper gets picked up by a couple that's driving by as she's running outside in the forest. Um, and the police obviously come because there's now a dead Andy, the social worker that came to do a random pop-in, was get her phone was blowing up off the hook. So clearly the police are coming. Because what do you mean you did a house call and that you you you're not answering your phone and you're not returning? Like, what do you mean? Um, and so yeah, Wendy's dead, and then they find Lara. I think she's does it say she's dead? No, so she's like Laura's alive, yeah. She's cradling the corpse of Kathy in the pool. Like she brings her back inside the pool. Um, and the police arrive and oh, and they also identify Connor. He is actually okay. He made it outside of the circle and survived. Because I guess when he's outside of deep depossessed, and when he's outside of the circle, like his spirit can come back into the body, I guess. And yes, and he also vomited, so um, but he actually can like talk again, and he like knows that his name is Connor. So yeah, it's like just a whole lot of torture and trauma for no results.

Ending Fallout And Lara’s Motive

Wilson

Like, yeah, but I wasn't like upset.

Captain

Like it's actually it was a good movie, it's just like god you it just you hate this character this foster mom so much. Like her character's terrible.

Wilson

But I think one of the things this movie does so well, and I'm not I'm not condoning anything Laura does, but like they humanize her a good bit. Like, she's doing horrific things, but you see her motivation for doing it. Like, she's not just like a serial killer or like a killer in a movie, you don't know their backstory. Like, this is a grieving mother who just wants to see her daughter again, who did terrible things. So I don't know. I think it like it makes her character very complex and interesting.

Captain

Yeah, I mean they do humanize her a little bit. Like, you do feel for her when she explains how her daughter drowned and how she would give anything to hear her call her mom one more time, and you do see her watch old videos of Kathy when she was alive, but she spends way more time watching those nasty cult videos where people are like literally eating each other, and then you see, like, there's a right before the R scene in person, there's a video of somebody else basically doing that where they like eat a corpse, hold a spirit, and then they can like put that spirit in somebody else that dies if they die the exact same way. So, and it seems like it works in the video. Now, of course, like who knows what the fuck you're why finding online? Like, I I don't know why you believe that, but people grieve in different ways. I just I've never met anyone that would grieve that way. Uh but um yeah. Um, do you want to hear some um nun numbs

Ratings, Awards, And Box Office

Captain

hot goose?

Wilson

Num Nums, yeah. How'd this do?

Captain

Yeah, so oh shoot. Oh, I didn't pull up the RT. Um but I do have the budget was 15 mil, and the box office was 39.1, so it did do better than break even.

Wilson

She did real good.

Captain

Um do you have the um letterbox?

Wilson

Yes. Um I was just looking that up. Uh so the letterbox is 3.7, so that's pretty good for letterbox.

Captain

That is pretty good for letterbox. The rotten spanners is an 89 for critics and a 79 for audience, which yeah, that's 89 is really good for critics. Um, and then this movie did win a bunch of um AACTA awards, which are the Australian Academy of Cinema and TV. So I guess their version of the Oscars, right?

Wilson

Okay. Um for her.

Captain

Good for her. Um then I mean this movie was good.

Practical Effects And Ritual Rules

Captain

Um there are some gory scenes that the prosthetic um FX designer talked about when he was doing them. So specifically, like you were talking about that wooden kitchen countertop that Ollie chews. It was a prop countertop made of chocolate, and it was designed specifically to break away to look like spritz uh splinters. And then um the the actor, what's his name? Uh Jonah Jonah Ren Phillips um had on special like denture teeth to you know assist with the stunt. And then the dental technician even designed special dentures that had breakaway teeth that would snap off. And it is so groaty when you watch it. Like it, it's you see all of it when you're watching the movie. The splinter.

Wilson

They did a really good job with that though.

Captain

The teeth breaking, yeah. And then he also, the prosthetic designer, um, FX designer also said that they're the demon makeup where Ollie's eyes are like bulging out and his stomach is bulging and his he's like necrotic veins everywhere. He he basically had like a whole body cast on. And he said that this 11-year-old kid had to sit for like several hours, six hours while they put all of this on, and he like did so well doing it. They were like, they've never like people are it's a tough thing to do, and especially at 11 years old, like they were like props to him. Um he does seem like a really good actor, he can do like really serious roles. So I was curious to see what he does as he grows older.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

Um, and then the brothers, the Philippo brothers, revealed that they found a small way to tie the city to talk to me, where they basically said they're in the same uh world and in the same neighborhood, basically on the same street. So they made a joke about don't buy a house in this neighborhood. Um and then they talked about how um the demons that possess people in toct me are like predatory spirits uh um of lost and lost souls, and then bring her back. Um this like angel demon thing was also like predatory on Lara that was like really wanted her daughter back. Not that Oliver was necessarily like good or bad, um but I don't know. They said he's like a genie in a bottle, you rub the lamp, he's gonna come out. The demon that possesses Ollie, which apparently I don't remember them naming this in the movie, but maybe it was in those weird creepy tapes. But they said the demon's name was Tari, which Lara calls an angel because there's like in a lot of Christianity, there's like this idea that demons, a lot of demons are like fallen angels. So some type of fallen angel that because God banished them from heaven, like now does stuff that maybe God wouldn't agree with, and like spends a lot of time hanging out and like teaching things to humans. So yeah, probably not a skill that um humans need to know how to do this this ritual, but apparently Tara Tari is not a real is not in any like actual books from oh they just made it up for the movie. They just made it up for the movie of it. But yeah, I actually was a little confused about the ritual when I was watching this because again, we don't get like it in full words or written, like we see parts of it through a uh a shaky camcorder video. Um but I did like look online and people there there are people that wrote out how you do it, but it's basically you have to have two living hosts. One host has to be used as a means of storing the lost soul into a living vessel. So you like put that host inside of or put them in like a transit trance-like state, and then you like force demonic control over them so like they have the spirit of whoever you're trying to save, and then um it's like a pretty painful process or painful for the person. Um, like they don't like it, and they also have like uh hunger that they can't fulfill. Um, so like they eat anything and everything, um, and they also can't leave that circle, which there's a cool shot from above other house, where it's like a gigantic circle that's like I don't know, an acre of circumference, like it's pretty big. Um and then once you get your second host that you want to put this vessel into, you have to kill them in the exact same way that the first person died, um, so that the demon can then vomit the spirit into them. Um so yeah. Gross. Interesting.

Wilson

Yeah, people looks like they did a deep dive on this.

Captain

They did do a deep dive. Um, and then lastly, um they revealed Michael Filippo revealed that they did consider a few different endings. Um, one where Kathy did even end up inside Piper's body, but they actually decided to change the ending when one of their friends that the movie's actually dedicated to at the end died suddenly. So they were like personally dealing with emotional pain of losing somebody. And they said death is really unfair and it feels very sudden, and people don't often get a resolution. So they actually wanted to put that in the film where it goes against conventions where, like, you know, she doesn't get the spirit in Piper, like the way the movie seems like it's going, but it actually seems more human or more true to life, they said that like death you have to just live with the death that is given that you get

Alternate Endings And Grief Without Closure

Captain

experience too. Um, I was like, oh, that's kind of interesting. I did see the dedication at the end of the movie, and I was curious who that was, but I think it's just their friend. Um, did you watch this in theaters, this movie?

Wilson

Yes. I don't remember actually.

Captain

I'm guessing I guess the dedication would play in theaters too.

Wilson

But I probably would, yeah. I just don't remember.

Captain

Yeah. But yeah, it's not anybody in the movie, so you're like confused, but it's just like randomly that they, you know, had to go through a very, you know, uh a similar experience to what they were writing. Um I did actually give this a four stars on Starbucks. I did like it.

Wilson

It was really I mean, it was really good, especially for a horror movie. I feel like it's harder to come by like really good fresh ideas. Yeah.

Captain

Um do you have a um raise a glass?

Wilson

I was thinking about that. Um I mean, I know like the when she, you know, she drives the car into Wendy, like that's sh like that was like a jump scare almost.

Captain

It was a big jump scare.

Wilson

Yeah, and then just like the gnawing on the table is just super nasty. But I don't know. I I just liked a lot of the movie. I don't nothing jumped out as like, yes, that was fantastic.

Captain

The gnawing on the table, and then when he the first scene where he is eating the fruit on the knife and then just starts chomping on the knife after the fruit, like that scene's also gross. Like they did a lot of special effects work in this. Um, actually, I think my Reese of Glass is not any of those. Uh, it's when Andy goes in back to Wendy to like report that something's wrong with Lara. Um the scene of him seeing the missing poster, missing person poster is like um like the camera like zooms in and there's like this shock or this um like realization, I don't know, movie sound that plays over top. And it's just like such a gut dropper, like when you're like, oh shit, like she's stolen this child that's missing, like she's definitely like all the things are like, yeah, she's fucking weird and she's unsettling. But like that was like a big like um and I think that was my rag just because it was like so shocking. I I didn't realize I didn't that wasn't something that I thought was gonna come. Um but I think I think my my only like qualms with the movie was that there were some parts that were confusing, like they don't like you can basically kind of figure out what the ritual was for the most part, but it would be nice to have like a little bit more in the movie. And then there was some cute confusion about the parents at the beginning, but not that it's a big deal, but I don't know. I was confused about like whose dad that was, because like I don't know, Piper seemed to care a lot, and then you're like, oh, wasn't I even her like I I mean I guess they were they were step siblings for like a very long time. It doesn't seem like that at the very beginning of the movie when you meet them, but they're actually like basically you know they don't remember life without each other. Um but I don't know, I could deal with like a few more minutes of explanation on the ritual, I guess, but otherwise, I think it was pretty good.

Bring Her Back Vs Talk To Me

Captain

I would recommend it.

Wilson

Did I tell you that did I tell you that whenever I see this movie poster, I always think of Sadie Sink, or like I think that's her, because that shot looks like her being pulled up by Vecna in season four of Stranger Things. Um then just like it just seems like there's red hair. I don't know. That's always my first thought.

Captain

I mean that Sadie Sink like shot is so I don't know, viral.

Wilson

Yeah. Iconic.

Captain

Iconic. Iconic. You know, this, yeah, you can actually like yeah, never really spent a lot of time looking at this poster, but yeah, that looks like it could be like it's a child, so it looks like it could be, you know, any gender. Um so I could see you, I could see you seeing Sadie Sink. Oh my god.

Wilson

But you don't see it.

Captain

Say that tongue twister if I'm seeing Sadie Sink. Um yeah. Oh, I was gonna ask you, which what did you think you liked better? This movie or Talk to Me.

Wilson

Um I think I Talk to Me made me less uncomfortable, but I think this movie was stronger. Like I think the story was stronger.

Captain

Yeah. That's um that's like a really good way to say it. Stronger.

Wilson

Yeah.

Captain

You're like a movie reviewer.

Wilson

Do you how I mean how do you feel about? Do you feel the stronger?

Captain

No, I I I think this movie is stronger. Yeah. Talk to me, I I think is slightly more entertaining. Could it just because there's like I don't know, there's more normal people in that movie. So like there's people to relate to. Yeah. Um, it's funny, the re the ratings for Talk to Me are actually better. The Rotten Tomatoes is a 94 and an 83.

Wilson

Okay. I so I think that kind of tracks because Talk to Me if you're comparing the two is more to me, um, it would reach a larger audience, kind of along the lines of you saying like it's more relatable in the way it's a group of young people, whatever, friends. And they're partying and they're yeah, yeah. Yeah.

Captain

Sorry.

Wilson

But I think that tracks.

Captain

Okay. Um yeah, overall though, I think I would I would um recommend this movie. And I would love to see more movies from the brothers.

Wilson

Yeah, get on it.

Captain

Get on it. Another three-word, short three-word title. Yes.

Next Movie Pick And Parting Advice

Captain

Um and then next time on the Red Arm Podcast, we're doing a movie called After Dot Life about a young teacher who wakes up on a mortuary slab and she may or may not be in purgatory.

Wilson

But you know, I'm intrigued by that premise, but at the same time, I also get the impression it's gonna be terrible.

Captain

Um yeah, I don't think it's great. And unfortunately, it's another star-setded packed to the brim cast.

Wilson

Damn.

Captain

Yeah. I mean, I mean, there are some people on there that I was like, it's not even worth putting them on the sheet. But um, you know, funny enough, it has Christina Ritchie, who was just recently in a movie we did, and Liam Neeson, who is also recently in a movie we did. And it's been a while since we put him on the pod, but Justin Long finally is coming back. Okay. Yeah.

Wilson

All right, all right.

Captain

Justin Long's coming back. But dude, I'm like preparing the movies and I'm like, oh, Liam Neeson. Let me just go back to the last episode and just copy and paste. Like Christina Richie, let me just go copy and paste. I mean, we're getting to that point where we've done so many movies, it's like I probably have a a summary of this person somewhere.

Wilson

Oh, yeah. You know, I'm sure there's a way it'd have to be Excel or something, but you just type.

Captain

a name and it just pulls in their yeah well sometimes you can like search your go like your Google Drive the drive for the name so I think sometimes I do that but sometimes I think I would done that person and they don't show up and I'm like damn damn well uh do you have some advice for me? Oh I mean Lara's just such a terrible okay I think this is good advice um I just think you know for grief there are professionals and I think before we decide to I don't know bring a demon into the mix maybe maybe talk to a professional that's my advice
