SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the Wisconsin Wrestler Podcast with your co-hosts, Teak Fenwick and Steve Lurk.

SPEAKER_02

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to another edition of the Wisconsin Wrestler Podcast. I'm your host, Teak Fenwick, coming to you live from Holman. Joining me as always from Coshkinong, my co-host at Steve Lurquin. Steve, great to be here.

SPEAKER_01

Pumped to be here, Teague. Talking some wrestling. You know, it's funny. I always kind of, after the season, go through a little louls and think a little like, gosh, you know, the energy's not there. And then the sectional pairings come out, and then everything all changes.

SPEAKER_02

It kind of comes back. I'm sure there's some people that follow us, that follow our podcasts, uh, you know, on Apple or Spotify, and they're thinking, Oh, am I seeing this right? T G just put out an episode, and uh, now they're going like two episodes in one week. Like, where do you guys get all this free time? Well, that's I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Free time, what's that?

SPEAKER_02

Oh man. Um folks, we got a fun one. I know we usually do this one a little earlier, but here we are. Do you want to give a little shout-up before we get our guests in here? I know national duels are going on right now. I think 14U wrestled last week for the boys. The girls are wrestling today. They're all in the gold silver pool, as far as I know. And then I don't know the action for the other stuff, but I do know the folks at Wisconsin Grappler made some uh great blogs kind of previewing all that action. So head over to Wisconsin at Grappler.com, check out those blogs. I know the Pearsons and uh some others helped out with that. So check that out if you want to check out the national dual previews, stay up to date on that action. Steve, tonight we are talking sectional assignments. They came out a month ago, maybe a blessing in disguise that we're doing it this late. Some folks have time to simmer down from the assignments.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good way of putting it. Before we do that, Teague, we uh so Monday we had a podcast and it was not live, so I did not wear. We had Pat Yok on from Milton, so I figure uh it wasn't live, so I didn't wear my Milton shirt, but in honor of Pat did a great job. Go ahead and check that podcast out. I thought I'd wear my Milton uh Red Hawks t-shirt. And folks, if you're ever in Milton, Wisconsin at the Wobbly Hog, otherwise known as the Piggly Wiggly, and if you wear Milton gear to the Piggly Wiggly, they give you five percent off your groceries. So Wednesday's my shopping day. Always have my Milton gear on. Five percent off, folks. Come on down.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, pretty sweet. I might make the trip. I don't know if that uh it balances out with the gas money, but I'm sure it doesn't.

SPEAKER_01

But antique, what do you got?

SPEAKER_02

You you got uh a goodie on there, Cambridge gear. That's right so pretty pretty tight knit in terms of distance between the two schools we're representing tonight. Steve, you know that we cannot do uh this podcast without one of our biggest recurring guests. I think he's gotta be third in the lineup, right? Third behind Cleaver and uh Machik. Gosh, those Kekwana boys. Well, don't forget about uh our our friend from Homestead. Ernie's had quite a few. Yeah. This guest tonight, he's guaranteed at least once a year because he is uh the expert on uh the divisional cut line spreadsheet that you see on the forum. He, along with myself, we are the cartography experts for Wisconsin Wrestling. I got my map. He has his outlines, and uh his stuff's usually it's like 99% accurate, borrowing some co-op stuff. Talk about none other than a North Fondi coach, Mr. Doug Forsythe. Doug, welcome.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, hey guys, thanks for having me on again.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, glad to have you, brother. Glad it's working.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, me too. And and folks, yeah, so a little of it. I know some of you normally we we on accident we started a couple minutes late. We swear Doug's computer was ready to blow up. I think smoke was coming out of it. It sounded literally like it was an airplane hitting a brick wall, is what it sounded like.

SPEAKER_02

So that's it without a brand viewer-friendly. Well, uh Doug, we are uh we're a couple years into to competitive balance now. We uh I mean we have we're two years into uh the new divisional setup where D3 has a couple more, D1 and D2 have 112 schools apiece. What were your initial thoughts upon the release of the sectional assignments?

SPEAKER_00

Well, compared to last year, it was a lot uh it was pretty similar to what we had had, so there weren't a ton of changes. So that was that was kind of nice. That uh last year we were all holding our breath, waiting to find out what it would be. Um, for me personally, I know I was holding my breath knowing that Wywega and Luxembourg Casco were coming back into Division II and wondering if I was gonna land in the same sectional with those powerhouses. Um, but overall, it was it a lot of it stayed the same this year, so it was pretty easy to make some predictions.

SPEAKER_02

Just a couple of uh full full uh divisional switches that kind of change the landscape and some things. Uh yeah. Well, we got a few uh comments are already rolling in. Love to see it. Trevor, Austin, Doug, a few familiar faces in the chat. Glad to be back. Already got 25 folks tuned in, ready to look at maps, talk some assignments, and of course, Steve and I get to make our way too early predictions. I do know the Pearson family. Uh the Pearsons have been. I know we just had Melissa on a couple weeks ago when she rocked it on that episode with Carson Hunter. They've been doing a lot of stalkering the last couple months with their kiddos. Gonna have a couple of couple of girls probably playing goalie for the World Cup here in about 10 years or so. So I don't know if the map is on Wisconsin Grappler yet. If it's not yet, it will be on. I'm sure we can get it on by the end of the week. It doesn't take too much. So uh we'll I shouldn't even say that. I don't do anything with the web design, so just scratch that comment. Uh yeah, it'll be on there. Uh yeah, we'll get into it. We got 21 sectionals to look at, by the way. For everyone tuning in, I know with the girls' sectionals, uh, we haven't done a podcast on that the last two years. I just think with it being one division, there wasn't as many big shifts, but when I did it this year, it kind of seemed like there was uh some major changes. So if you're interested in that, if you want a girls' sectional assignment podcast, then feel free. We can uh we can always do another one. We got plenty of time during summer. So let us know if you'd be interested in that one, and we can uh we can go on there and talk about some of the changes and whatnot. Uh fellas, 21 sectionals, what do you say we get to it? Let's roll. All right, let's share the screen here. D1 sectional A. It is uh the maroon teams right up here. I can't narrow it down to just one sectional, but this is what we got. Doug, anything stick out in this one from prior years?

SPEAKER_00

Well, sectional A is exactly the same as last year, except St. Croix Falls with their competitive balance success is coming all the way from Division III all the way to division one in sectional A.

SPEAKER_02

Love to see them get rewarded with that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Nice.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, here's your prize.

SPEAKER_01

There you go. I I'm just not gonna comment. And still a tough sectional.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, yeah, because I think uh and on Alaska, they have been building a solid program the last the last few years. Credit to coach uh Tom with what he's been doing. Uh yeah, on Alaska out, St. Croix Falls in. I think anytime you see St. Croix Falls move into your sectional, you you know that's gonna make the path to state a little bit tougher. Steve, I don't have a coin or anything like this. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Why don't you go first?

SPEAKER_02

I'll go first. We'll see if we can rotate who goes first with whatnot. Oh, and uh Andrew Holman and Martin Andrew, you gotta spell Holman right, man. Please between an event Julie to make me mad. Then it's working. But yeah. Andrew, you gotta, I mean, you got some SDF guys tuning in as well. So maybe don't give SDF the bullets and more material. Dusty, glad to see you here. Pumped to see in D1 sectionally with my Vikings. And speaking of my Vikings, Steve, I think it's gonna be a great team sectional. Uh, I think Holman with what they're returning, and I think being basically the second best team in the state last year, I um am going with the Vikings on this one.

SPEAKER_01

And and folks, we have we've done zero other than what we know from last year, which is not a lot. We've done zero research. This is the way too early predictions. Yeah, you know what? Just for fun, and I'm gonna take Andrew's advice. I'm gonna go with uh let's go with Marshfield. Oh, all right. So nope no picks for St. Croix Falls. No, not well. See, that's what we do. We just don't pick them and then they uh they let us here.

SPEAKER_02

Well, yeah, we gotta be careful with this one because we're gonna be in St. Croix Falls in shade under a month here now. Yes, yeah, little girl falls even.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, hopefully the hip stands up for or uh holds up for me. Oh, yeah, that's gonna be interesting. I might not be driving teague. I might just take my ball and drive in the cart, and then uh when we're chipping, I'll just throw it, and that's where I'll go.

SPEAKER_02

You might just be our yeah, our chip specialist or iron specialist.

SPEAKER_03

Right.

SPEAKER_02

All right, sectional B. Move on here. We got the Appletons, Bayports, and oh again, Doug, what's the what's the big uh what's the elephant in the room with this sectional?

SPEAKER_00

Well, again, you have a team that decided to do well year after year after year. So the little old Coleman jumping from Division III all the way up to D1 in sectional B.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and otherwise, Doug, any uh it didn't seem like much really changed from this one other than uh Coleman went up, but oh, I guess we should bring up the big thing this year, or the big thing that I people just started noticing this year. Uh teams can vouch to move down a division, and I think that's why we don't see Eshwabinon in this one, correct? Correct.

SPEAKER_00

Correct. Ashwabanon fell out because they petitioned to go down a division.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't know that was a thing, to be honest with you.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't either. I knew you could petition to go up. Yeah, I didn't know you could petition to go down.

SPEAKER_01

Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Steve, you got first round on this one. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I'm gonna take uh um I'm gonna take Kakana. I know it's a surprise for you teague. I know you gotta pick a different. Just kidding. But I will ask you this, guys. Uh, here's my here's my trivia question. By the way, Doug, we did hear that uh St. Croy Falls and Coleman are petitioning to co-op and they're gonna practice every night in they're gonna practice every night in Stevens Point or Wausau. They haven't figured that out. That's not official, but uh that's that sounds like a great plan. Um hey, Coleman, I will tell you this their enrollment, and then I just this is a quick Google search, is 229 kids. The biggest school that I found, I didn't check them all, I believe is Bayport. I won't tell you the enrollment because that's my trivia question. How many Coleman's enrollment-wise can fit into Bayport? I'm I'm guessing nine. Nine, okay. Eight, yeah. Eight point five. So 1950 was Bayport's enrollment.

SPEAKER_02

So a little fun fact for you. Shouldn't uh not a winning competition for me going against the guy who makes the enrollment spreadsheet. Oh, yeah, good point.

SPEAKER_03

I think that.

SPEAKER_00

I'm I may or may not have that open right now.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, all right.

SPEAKER_02

Well, all right. Well, uh I'm also going with Kakana in this one. Got double uh double Vikings, double ghosts. Let's head down to Sectional C. I'm gonna have to zoom out a bit to get these uh cooley region teams in here. Uh sectional C and Madison area, some lacrosse area schools thrown in here as well. Doug, what's uh what changed?

SPEAKER_00

Nothing all the same teams except on Alaska moved over from sectional A. Otherwise, it's all the same teams from last year.

SPEAKER_01

Hmm. Who do you know who got bumped? So if On Alaska came in, who got bumped out? Do you know that one, Doug?

SPEAKER_00

Or is that uh I think Sparta. Sparta dropped down to D2. So I think they were in this sectional.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. Okay. Interesting, yeah. Oh, here I should probably move over. Bad production on my part. There you go.

SPEAKER_01

Nope, that's right. Sparta. Oh, I gotta go first on this one. You do, tough one. I'm gonna go wild card in this one, Teague.

SPEAKER_02

You know, I went with MGM last year. And I think again, they'd be just because of how they finished last year, they could be a good dark horse pick. But I'm I'm gonna ride the hot hand here and take Wana Key. But also, actually, Steve, I think I know who your wild card pick is gonna be now. Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Who do you think who do you predict my wild card's gonna be? Verona. Yeah, I was gonna say my wild card's the wildcats. I'm gonna go with Verona. Um yeah, although, well, I shouldn't say it is. Never mind. We don't do speculation here. I'll tell you off the air. But uh, yeah, go ahead. I'm gonna go go Verona. I did hear something, but uh we're good. Let's go on to sectional D. I shouldn't have got caught into that.

SPEAKER_02

All right, let me let me get this pulled up. Get taken off. Ooh. Alright, sectional D. Sectional D is uh the turquoise pins that we have right here. So kind of around Lake Winnebago, southish Lake Winnebago area going down just north of Milwaukee. Doug, this is uh sectional D is where things usually start shaking up a little bit. What do you got for us?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they can they can do more mixing up uh down by the Milwaukee area, but it's still almost all the teams were in sectional D last year. There's uh five that moved from sectional E. Uh the only real change, Milwaukee Madison is no longer co-opt with Milwaukee Vincent. At least Vincent wasn't listed on the pairings. Um, so that was new, but I couldn't find Milwaukee Vincent anywhere. So are they not wrestling anymore?

SPEAKER_01

Interesting. Yeah, I don't know. That's a year-to-year thing. I'm not quite sure. Milwaukee Vincent used to be a standalone program.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, they were very, very good.

SPEAKER_01

I refed a duel meet with them once. Um, Teague, I'm first in this one. Looking for a sectional. You might have said that already, uh uh individual sectional. But uh Teague, you might be wondering who I'm gonna be picking. That's right. I'm going with the Hooters of Slinger.

SPEAKER_02

Same here, Steve. I'm gonna take Slinger and these D1 sectional D-picks brought to you by Gearings Beat Market, located in St. Lawrence. Yes, make sure you check it out when you drive through the area.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I love that. That's my favorite part uh of every show.

SPEAKER_02

Great beef jerky. Well, great everything. We we got a little sampler platter at state. And well, Steve, you're not just a fan of the food, but got some pretty slick shirts from them as well.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that camouflage, uh Garen's beef market shirt is my favorite. It's absolutely you know, it's absolutely amazing, and I look good in it.

SPEAKER_02

Section so I didn't mean to laugh at the no that you know you look great, man. Just love the enthusiasm, love the self-confidence. That's right. All right, sectional E. Give us the lowdown, Doug.

SPEAKER_00

All right, well, you got Waterford that moved up from D2. You have Hamilton that was in sectional E last year, and then all the other schools were in D F or G. So Hamilton's the only one returning to this sectional. Huh.

SPEAKER_02

Interesting. That is interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Why are you gonna do that? Where did the other one say that again, Doug? Where did the other ones come from?

SPEAKER_00

Uh D F and G.

SPEAKER_01

Gotcha, gotcha. Uh, and T is you're making your pick here real quick. We got a couple, we got Kayla. Kayla tuning in saying hi, and Mike is on the show asking if he's live. Yes, Mike, you are live on the show, and you are up in Door County, live from Door County.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Kayla. First time seeing her in the chat. Mike, not my first time seeing Mike in the chat here.

SPEAKER_01

Might be getting oxidized right now as we speak. Mike's live at the oxidization rusty nail. What's it called again? The ox, the ox oxbow. No. The blue ox. The blue ox. Oh, yeah. I like the oxbow too. Um, I get I get confused sometimes. But you're first on this one, bud.

SPEAKER_02

You know, Arrowhead's always always a fun pre-pre-season pick. Uh I'm gonna take Ocon. They they made a statement going into the postseason last year. I had a rough go at team sectionals. I know there was a few guys, but not to make excuses for that. That's just how it goes sometimes. So I think I think this year is uh they they get everything wrapped up. They just got a new wrestling room, so uh that can do nothing but benefit them. And apologies to my baby blue fans, and especially to Big Muck, but I'm taking uh Ocon.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good pick. I'm gonna go, I'm you know, this is the show to make dark horse picks, and uh it surprised us a little bit last year, and they were pretty, I don't think they lost any seniors if they did. They weren't uh, you know, they were probably 500 below wrestlers. Two state champs coming back. I'm going with the shirt that I'm wearing. Give me give me the Red Hawks.

SPEAKER_02

Give me Milton. Oh, yeah, great pie. I didn't even mention them. Good point. Wow, that's gonna be uh barn burner of a sectional, dang.

SPEAKER_01

It's a barn burner. Oh G barn burner of the week.

SPEAKER_02

Sectional F. Yeah, I'm excited for the barn burners of the week again.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, that is a wait, hold on. We apologize, Doug. Did you want to make so when we start in D2? Did you want to make picks or are you good just uh letting us hash it out?

SPEAKER_00

No, I'll let you guys hash it out. I don't need to give anyone any bulletin board material.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe D3. We'll let you hop on for because wait, are you in oh shoot?

SPEAKER_00

I'm in D2.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well it we'll we'll get your uh input on D3. How's that sound?

SPEAKER_00

All right, that's fair.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, check out the this is a very satisfying setup, by the way, with F and G. Just basically, okay, it's not right down the middle, but you can see where the cut line is in this map.

SPEAKER_01

It sounds like you're swearing when you say that. F and G.

SPEAKER_00

So six of these teams return to sectional F. All the rest came from E and G.

SPEAKER_02

So we got a lot of Brookfields kind of ranging all the way down to West Sosia, who made an impact last year. Well, before I start yapping, Steve, what's your pick?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's a good pick with West Sosha. Uh I, you know, give me the school that consistently put 60 kids in the wrestling room. I'm going with Mosquego out of this one.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm not I'm not gonna stray away from Mosquego early here. I'm sorry, host it. Sorry to the beast folks, but I'm I'm taking Mosquego. And last but not least in D1, Sectional G, which fellas, is that a new team at the top?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Carmen Southgate. It must be an all-new school because I couldn't even find their enrollment in the uh bulletin on the WIA website. So they must be that must be brand new.

SPEAKER_01

I thought we always saw like a not I've never seen Southgate, but I thought we've always seen like in the Milwaukee co-ops, and then they'd have Carmen in there.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if that's a yeah, there's there's still Carmen South and Carmen Southeast.

SPEAKER_02

Southgate's a new one, I think. Yes. Is Carmen the is Southgate maybe the SCTE thing, like the old Obama one, or is that its own deal still?

SPEAKER_00

I think that's still its own deal, too. Huh.

SPEAKER_01

Well, there we go. That's D1. Oh, we gotta make picks. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh am I first on this one? I think it's gonna come down. No, I got I got this one, Steve. I think it's gonna come down to a little uh Southeast conference matchup, and I think we're gonna have a monster clash in the finals between Franklin and Oak Creek, and I'm gonna go with Oak Creek.

SPEAKER_01

All right. I was gonna take Oak Creek, and Franklin was gonna be my other one. I did send a few messages to my Franklin uh coaches, and of course they downplayed it when I talked about the sectional, but uh yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's uh let's take Franklin and Mike. Uh our our Milwaukee source says Southgate must be close, uh, close to old Southgate Mall on the 27th Street.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that could be. Hey, one other thing I forgot to mention. If my spreadsheet is right, Whitefish Bay and Waterford are the two teams that are in D1 because Ashwaban and Sheboygan South got bumped down or petitioned to go down. So Whitefish Bay and Waterford would have been D2, I believe, had it not been for uh those other two schools dropping down.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, I I'm a little more surprised. Hey, I'm probably not thrilled if I'm Whitefish Bay or Waterford knowing that, but um I'm a little more surprised that Whitefish Bay is that close to D2, to be honest. Correct.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I would have guessed they were just a huge school.

SPEAKER_00

I I feel like their enrollment must be dropping.

SPEAKER_02

Where is wait, where did I miss Whitefish Bay at?

SPEAKER_00

Why am I not Whitefish Bay is has 915 students now?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, they're up in D. All right, yeah. Interesting, yeah, because they I don't think they were ever close to like borderline, so it's a big development.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. D2. D2, noticeably absent in sectional A. The Saints of St. Croix Falls.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and they were they were supposed to drop to D3 a few years ago just before, just when competitive balance started. They had been a Division II team, their enrollment dropped them to three, but then uh competitive balance pushed them back up to D2. So they never actually, even though they were a D3 sized team, I don't think they ever competed in D3 in the last whatever years.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, not since '99 or '99. 2019. Holy call. I'm still stuck in the 90s.

SPEAKER_02

We did that 1992 State Brackets podcast, and Steve Steve has never been the same since. That's right. All right, sectional A. Well, no SCF Doug, but what do we have going on here?

SPEAKER_00

It's really pretty much all the same teams that were there, and then they moved about five teams over from sectional B. No one that's new to Division II, though.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. So, you know, you take SCF out, it's still competitive sectional. Uh, talk to Kurt, you know, they're gonna have a tough team at Hayward Northwood. But I'm gonna go with uh Merrill is kind of making that that jump again. I think Merrill's gonna be the team out of this one. Oh, alright. I'm going with Osceola. Yeah, I knew you would, but I handed that one to you.

SPEAKER_02

Also, this one home of the best mascot in Wisconsin, the hood eggs. The hood eggs. All right, sectional B. I also noticed uh over over the years of doing this that everyone assumes sectional A is always gonna be very, very similar or nothing can change, but it's always easy if it has to be done to either go a little north and pull teams from the east or vice versa. And I've been seeing a little more of that recently.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yeah, it really depends on if they go further down the Mississippi or if they go to the north central part of the state.

SPEAKER_02

All right, going down to sectional uh B, as I just took to folks watching on a roller coaster ride there. Just uh sectional A, but a little bit more south. Ranging all the way from Prescott to the Cooley region to Mosanee.

SPEAKER_00

And Mosane is the only team returning to sectional B. All the other schools were either in A or C last year. But no, no one knew to Division II.

SPEAKER_02

So basically what happened, Doug, usually we've talked about this before. A to B, B is usually more northeast. So it's just kind of it's not like a lot of teams changed per se. It's just what they where they put the sectional letters is is what changed with this one. Oh, here, let me move over. And uh I have a first go here. You do, yep, running through potential candidates. Regis Altoona, Melvin G-E-T, St. Croix Central. Man, it's gonna be tough. Yeah, but I can't pick Melman GET. I'm gonna uh why can you not pick them? I'm just not I'm just not going to.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. I thought I thought you had some kind of like uh, you know, I can't pick them because on principle.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. And you know what? I know these are the two schools closest to me, but I'm gonna stray away from the Cooley Conference. I'm taking St. Croix Central to come out of this.

SPEAKER_01

Interesting. Okay, yeah, I think we type battles fun uh West Salem, St. Croix Central. I'm gonna take the team that I think is ready to uh come back and uh from their little heyday of not make a seat. I'm gonna go with the uh the how do we call them a dark horse? I'm gonna go with Ellsworth on this one. Love it. Yep. They had a great run last year at Team Sectionals. This is the time to make some dark horse picks right now. Well, let's head over to C which I'm and Colin agrees with me, Teague. I didn't see I didn't see Colin's message. Says uh pay real close attention to Ellsworth. And uh yes, I did, Colin. Where's uh where's that at? Uh comments, yeah. Yours is your squirrels are running a little low. But uh sectional, you know what's funny about this sectional C, Doug, is that this one forever has been just a barn burner and uh tough as nails. And last year kind of got you know filtered out a little bit, watered down. Well, that was just a one-year hiatus. It's back.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and the funny thing is, sectional C, not a single one of these teams was in sectional C last year.

SPEAKER_01

I as far as the uh the I meant the grouping of the you know, you got the freedom, you got the you know, they're all back together. This is basically last year's sectional B with a couple of.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, a lot of sectional B, uh a couple from D, and then you have three new schools to Division II. You have Ashwabinon that petitioned to go down, you have Luxembourg Casco that's returning to D2 after being pushed up to D1 for a while, and now Wyatt Fremont is gonna come up and join us in D2.

SPEAKER_01

Oof. Yeah, I'm first in this one. I do not remember Teague. I don't have in front of me what Wyatt of Fremont has come back or if they lost a lot or not. Do they have enough to take over Luxembourg Casco? But I'm not gonna bet against Luxembourg Casco coming down to D2, so I'm taking them.

SPEAKER_02

You know, it's June, and right now I am gonna bet against Luxembourg Casco. I'm taking Wyatt of Fremont early on. Uh both teams are gonna be scary good. I will tell you that much.

SPEAKER_01

And you know, shout out to Denmark making their first ever trip to Team State last year.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I think I think I predictedly I correctly called that one. Good call. D2, uh, D and E. All right, where are we traveling? Looks like we're going just south for D.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, this is my sectional. Uh, we have two new schools to D2. Uh, Oakfield Mayville is a new co-op, so they were both D3 schools, but now they're co-op. And then Sheboygan South, the other team that petitioned to go down. Uh, otherwise, all of these schools were in sectional D last year, uh, except two. We added Adam's Friendship and Watoma Wild Rose. Hmm.

SPEAKER_02

Mike, I noticed the TBA here. Have you considered hosting this sectional? Not Mike, sorry. I've just Doug. Doug. Yes. Had Mike on the side.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I we did have that discussion. Uh, I think it's probably still in the realm of possibility, but uh, I don't know. My team doesn't seem to perform as well when we host. I don't know if it's because I'm distracted trying to be a good host or uh they I don't know. But whenever we host, it doesn't seem to go well. And and to be honest, we have some pretty high aspirations this year.

SPEAKER_02

Sure. I'll tell you what, Adam's friendship knows how to host a pretty solid postseason tournament. Also, Watoma's got a pretty beautiful field house, too.

SPEAKER_00

That's where I started my teaching career, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_00

Yep. I was teaching and coaching in Watoma in the late 90s.

SPEAKER_01

Doug, I'm pretty good at maps, and for whatever reason, I cannot place Mayvale. Oakfield and Mayville, that just seems like they are pretty. How many miles are they from each other?

SPEAKER_00

They're probably 15-ish miles apart. That's not bad at all.

SPEAKER_01

Not bad.

SPEAKER_00

So not no, not great. There's they're uh county V, I think, goes right up to from Oakfield to Mayville.

SPEAKER_01

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, T. Who we got? Yeah, I wasn't even I should have been thinking about that.

SPEAKER_01

And I was I think Doug was trying to like, you know, coaxy in a little bit there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, give me a keel.

SPEAKER_01

No, actually Winnakani. Oh, you got darn it. You know what? I'm gonna go with uh the tiger wolf of Chilton Hilbert.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good pick.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Or the beer is gonna be awfully tough to beat.

SPEAKER_01

That was your pick last year, Steve O. Hey Doug, Craig says he will buy your brother a beer on Friday.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, Craig likes to serve my brother lots of beer, which is okay. Uh, my brother is retired and he should drink beer.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Hey Doug, this is a kids' podcast. We can't say beer on here.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, sorry. I think you said it first, though.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, maybe I did. Yeah, you're right.

SPEAKER_02

Children's show. Children's show. What's the drive from two rivers to Watoma? This is this is a sneaky vast sectional, by the way. Now that I've been looking at it more. Then you got a lake in between a couple of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're we're fairly spread out in this sectional.

SPEAKER_02

Have to take the ferry over between uh between Chilton and Winnicani. Hey, going back, going a little uh southwest here. Not totally Madison area, but if you uh if you want to call it that, we'll call it South Central Conference Region.

SPEAKER_01

That's spread out pretty big.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Boston to Cuba City to Broadhead, down to Evansville.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and almost all of these schools were in sectional E last year. Uh, you added Sparta that came down from D1, and then uh Moston and the Dells moved over from sectional C.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Yeah, I I heard about that one from the Mostin folks.

SPEAKER_01

Well, Teague, you know, they I don't want to say they surprised us last year, but we didn't pick them, and I'm not doing that again. Uh, I think they return uh 25 of 14 starters, so I'm gonna go with Evansville. Yeah, I'm going with Evansville as well. That was supposed to be a joke, but that went over like a fart note in a smart car again. Sorry. Oh, good times, good times.

SPEAKER_02

I I Steve, just because I don't laugh doesn't mean I don't like your jokes. I I'm also going with Evansville, but I'll tell you what, it's going to be very tough to make it out of this as an individual. Um, yes. All right. D2 uh sectional F.

SPEAKER_01

This is a tough one to make a pick, but go ahead, Doug.

SPEAKER_00

Somebody's still looking for no new schools in here. Uh, and sectionals F and G kind of did a 50-50 swap. Uh, so a lot of these schools are uh were either in F or G last year on our last two sectionals.

SPEAKER_02

So uh what do you say 50-50 swap? Did they basically go from like a north-south cut line to an east-west cut line or what? I believe so, yeah. Yeah, similar a la D1 looks like. So uh sectional G, I'll move the names over here. Or sectional F, sorry. And uh Steve, I I got first go on this one. Yeah, you do. Good luck. Good luck indeed. Yeah, do do I dare go against East Troy who made it to state last year? I think I'm going to uh and and maybe a sneaky deep sleeper pick in this one, but give me give me Stoughton.

SPEAKER_01

I you know, I figured it's funny to stay a sleeper, uh deep sleeper on that one. Um, you know, another team to watch out for is uh Lakeside Lutheran. Uh Doug, you might remember the name Tom Clum. He's uh his kids wrestling there, coaching there. They have like crazy good numbers, and now just the talents gotta, you know, some of those kids gotta get to that uh those those uh academies and stuff like that, which I'm sure they're doing. Not gonna pick them quite yet. Gosh, you know, do I do I stick with my dark horse pick year after year and say this is the year for him? Jefferson. I'm gonna go Campbell Sport. Give me the Kogas.

SPEAKER_02

Campbell's porn. Love it. I thought you were gonna do a sneaky whitewater at the end there. No, no. All right, last but not least, Sectionology, where uh Fuller Collegiate Academy, its own program this year, dog.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they were on their own last year, too.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, there is a new school in this one. Do you want to do the pleasures?

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm is a new team. They're joining this sectional. Otherwise, like I said, GNF kind of did a 50-50 swap.

SPEAKER_02

Hmong American Peace, aka Hoppa, as I they have it listed, I think, in Google Maps. Uh anytime you get a new program in, it's a big win for the sport. That's true. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, I'm first. You know, I'm sitting there looking, going home, hope wishing somebody put a comment in. Um, I'm not gonna think too long on it. I'm gonna go with Wilmot Union.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna go with oh man. Port Washington.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, by the way, yeah, I was gonna say uh we lose the best beard in the state, T. That's why I kind of grew mine out in uh remembrance of him. But um, do we know where Garrett is Garrett going to wrestle somewhere? Yeah, I don't know where off the top of my head. Man, gonna miss the best beard in the state for the last four years because he had the award since freshman year.

SPEAKER_02

Well, Steve, I'm screen sharing, so if you want to do a little recon on where Garrett's wrestling. Oh, sure, you bet. In the meantime, well, I also I can't forget uh Pewkey probably in this mix. I think Kewascom maybe losing a little too much firepower to compete for a title in that one. Can't forget, gotta give a shout out to Shorelin Lutheran. They've been great supporters the last two years. Mike, I'm gonna scroll all the way back up to uh the great north. D3 sectional A. I I honestly don't know if you have much to report on with this one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh mostly the same. Uh Clear Lake added Clayton. Uh Shitec Prairie Farm dropped down from D2. Um, and then Turtle Lake used to be co-opt with Clayton. So they dropped Clayton and Clear Lake picked them up. Otherwise, it's mostly teams from A last year.

SPEAKER_02

Doug, you're a little more in tune with that process than I am. How does that process go? Uh, did Turtle Lake just say, like, hey, we can do this on our own? And then like, well, what was Clayton's limbo period?

SPEAKER_00

Well, it's uh by April, you have to fill out your paperwork with the WIA. Your conference has to approve a co-op, and then um and then it goes to the WIA by April 1st. So I'm guessing Turtle Lake uh decided that they could go on their own. Uh so then Clayton probably went shopping to see if any other schools in the area would pick them up. Uh, and so Clear Lake must have agreed, and uh whatever conference Clear Lake is in must have approved the new co-op.

SPEAKER_02

As you can see, Turtle Lake and Clear Lake, just uh yeah. Quick jot between the two. Oh, Clay's right between them. So kind of worked out. Which highway is that? I wouldn't be able to know off the top of my head. So we're just gonna move on.

SPEAKER_01

But I gotta make yeah, well, let's let Doug make the first pick. Yeah, Doug's new to the picking, and uh you go first.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, you guys are gonna throw it right at me right away, huh? Well I I kind of like what Glenwood City's been doing.

SPEAKER_01

And Dusty Rager would agree with you. What the pinstripes? Are we are we just going triple Glenwood City here or what? Well, you know what? I'm gonna take an underdog fatigue. Are you are you going with the pinstripe warriors?

SPEAKER_02

I'll take the pinstripe warriors too, because I'm I'm interested to see what you're bringing to the table, Steve.

SPEAKER_01

I'm going C C W P F. Give me to tech warehouser prairie farm. Woo!

SPEAKER_02

Love it. Big tech, big tech. Also a minor typo in the in the WIAA page. I think this AE for Warehouser is actually supposed to be, I don't know what the letter's called, but it's like the combined AE.

SPEAKER_01

Sure. Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah, yeah, where they put the little uh dots above them. Uh Tegan, I did my recon. A little trouble because I could not remember how to spell Garrett Kovchinski's last name. That's a doozy. Buy me a vowel. But uh I I did remember this. He's going to at the army to uh West Point.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's right. Yeah, I thought it was one of the service academies. Good recon there, Steve O. Doug, I want to hear your report on this one. I don't want to take your thunder because there is uh something interesting I noticed in this sectional.

SPEAKER_00

Uh in this sectional? In sectional B? Yeah. Well, let's see. We had Kribbitz that dropped Wasaki. Uh other than that, all these schools were in Division III last year. I'm not sure what year.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, wait, were Bayfield and Washburn their own programs already? Yes. Technically speaking, yeah. I know they haven't brought much to the postseason in terms of numbers, but they did move to sectional B, which I don't think I would have ever predicted that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they were both an A last year.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, for the drive. Holy cow. What is the drive?

SPEAKER_02

I just looked over at the map. That is crazy. What is the drive from Ocanto to Bayfield?

SPEAKER_01

Well, you want me to get on that? Hey Siri, how long does it take to get to Ocanto to Bayfield?

SPEAKER_00

Well, and the sectional is in Ported or Peshtigo, I mean. That's gonna be quite the drive for Bayfield and Washburn.

SPEAKER_02

That's a good one. I would I wouldn't bring up the sectional location if I'm trying to recruit kids at Bayfield.

SPEAKER_01

You know what? Just tell them you're staying overnight, you're going to Green Bay to a water park, indoor water park. It's a good sell. There you go. Teague, we got your first in this one.

SPEAKER_02

Two hours and 43 minutes.

SPEAKER_01

Good luck. Wow.

SPEAKER_02

We got some tough choices to make in this one. Marathon returning at Stratford. Can you ever really count Stratford out? And of course the Chargers of Windburg, Burnham Wood. But wait, Steve, who wait, who's for you're you're first on this one, aren't you? No, no, never mind. I'm first. No, you're first. But I think this is the year that the Cardinals of Crandon have a perfectly healthy team at the end of the year. I'm taking you took everything from me.

SPEAKER_01

And team, don't forget about Athens. They uh it's wouldn't be a podcast without me getting my little Athens plug in, but their numbers are up. Remember, we talked last year. I think regionals they had 10 kids, and uh Craig Underwood did say uh coach is doing a great job up there. But give me the charges of Wittenberg Burnham one. Who do you got, Doug?

SPEAKER_00

I think I'm gonna take Marathon. I I like what they've been doing up there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and marathon, uh, I didn't see the results, but they qualified for state and baseball. I was watching their um their semi-sectional final game, and they had a lot of wrestlers on the squad. Blake Underwood pitched a heck of a uh uh sectional final for them to advance to wow, good for him.

SPEAKER_02

Well, sectional C. Auburndale. I've heard a lot of thoughts on this one, believe it or not, fellas. Because Doug, let's let's get the lay of the land for this the central Wisconsin sectional.

SPEAKER_00

All these schools were in D3 last year. Uh, most of them were in sectional C, uh, but we did have quite a few come from sectional E.

SPEAKER_02

And there are two schools that were at least team state semifinalists last year in Auburnale and uh the blue golds of Aquinas. That's true. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Holdied that right into Steve's pick. Yeah, I forgot how many Auburnale is coming back. Um, but Aquinas looked really good last year. Uh, I'd be a fool not to take them. And I do have to make this comment. Mike uh made a great point about Garrett Kowczynski. Going to Army is uh he's gonna be losing that beard. I was wondering if he just shaved it off naturally, but that's right. Going to the army, they're gonna be they're gonna be shaving it off for him. So, but yeah, I'm going with Aquinas. So now, Doug, you're up next.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, I I have to go with Aquinas too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I thought maybe going to Auberdale could be fun, but knowing what Aquinas is. Actually, Aquinas is losing some hammers, but they always seem to reload. I'm taking the blue golds of Aquinas for my very early pick. Sectional D. Kind of back to oh, wait, this isn't really back to Doug's neck of the woods yet.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, some of them. Uh most all these schools were in D3 last year. Most of them were in sectional D. Uh, but then they brought over uh quite a few from sectional B.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Good look at good look at that, folks. All the way from what, that's gotta be Southern Door down to Oh man, I got Tri-County.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Yep. Southern Door, the southernmost point of Door County team. Took teague several trips up to Door County to figure that out. That was uh Doug moment to hit his light ball moment as long as it happened. Who you got, Doug?

SPEAKER_00

Well, this is a tough one. Uh shout out to my friend uh Coach Smurf over at Omrill. Uh, he really put together a great team last year.

SPEAKER_03

Coach Smurf.

SPEAKER_00

That's his email. Oh his email is Coach Smurf, so I can call him that without feeling bad.

SPEAKER_01

Don't don't give Teague any more ammo.

SPEAKER_00

Um, but he's done a great job, but they did lose a lot. They had a lot of seniors last year. Uh Shiacton's been very good. Baldur's has been very good. Uh boy, I'm gonna I think I'm gonna say Baldur's.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Teague, you're I can't remember, yeah, you're up.

SPEAKER_02

Man, I'd love to roll with the Octosmurf led Foxes, but I think I think I'm gonna take Shy Octan.

SPEAKER_01

That's a good pick. And just to go different, that seems to be our theme right now. You know, I you know, normally I don't pick teams that uh have a mascot of this, but give me the Bears of Bondwell. Ooh, yeah, duh Bears.

SPEAKER_02

I was one of like, what do you have against Bears? Okay, yeah, I got it.

SPEAKER_01

The the Indiana, the Gary Bears, man. Oh, Lord. That's just fun to say.

SPEAKER_00

Hey, that's what that reminded me. Do you guys know how you find Chicago on a map?

SPEAKER_02

No. Why?

SPEAKER_00

It's just like the baseball standings. You find Mc Milwaukee and then you go down.

SPEAKER_01

Love it. Hey Doug, do you know why South Dakota doesn't have a professional football team? Why Illinois, Illinois would want one too. Oh, but I can't say that anymore.

SPEAKER_02

I don't uh I don't have a Chicago joke on hand, unfortunately. Sectional E. All right, Southeast.

SPEAKER_00

All right, sectional E. You got two schools that dropped down from D2. You got Dodville and you got River Valley, both dropped down from D2. Otherwise, a lot of these schools were in E last year, a couple from sectional F.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and it was just strange seeing Mineral Point go that far east last year, wasn't it? Um, you know what? I know I go first in this one, and just to upset the mouth of the South, I'm gonna go with IGH to win this one.

SPEAKER_02

Who's second in the lineup?

SPEAKER_01

Uh, I don't know. Somebody just go. I think I was supposed to go first. No, were you really? Okay, well.

SPEAKER_02

You know what? Give me Lancaster. Nice. The flying arrows.

SPEAKER_00

I like that Lancaster pick. I'm gonna piggyback on that one.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, nobody takes mineral point.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Curtis Fiedler does not listen to the sectional show you do. Well, he might, yeah. Somebody from Mineral Point will, and they'll tell him. I'm 0% worried about this getting back to him.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna say, I'm gonna say it does. And it's we're gonna get a text at like 1:30 in the morning, and it's gonna be something pretty creative insulting us both, is what it's or just like nice picks, fellas.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Um also Pecat, there's not even a town. I just know, is there not a town called Pecatonica? Because it's located in Blanchardville. It is Blanchardville, you are correct. It is Pecatonica area, so it's lost. Pecatonica River teak. Blackhawk. I like that Blackhawk is located next to Browntown. All right. I don't know why that's funny. We're we're we're losing the plot here. Yeah. Yay. Sectional F, dog. What do we got?

SPEAKER_00

Sectional F. Uh, almost none of these schools were in sectional F last year, but they were all in D2. Uh, Dodgeland did add Houstisford as a co-op.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. You know, I think that'll be good for them. Dodgeland and Houstonford always have tough in it throughout the years. I've always had like two or three tough kids. Uh. And then you put them together and hopefully they make a strong program.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I think I got first. I don't like that I have first here because Cedar Grove loses a lot. Yep. Oosburg, two years removed from Team State. Random, random lake. We're kind of getting to the point, fellas. We're three years removed, right? From random lake last being at Team State. That that's almost a whole graduating class. So there is a lot of question marks heading into this one. So why not go with none of them and take Princeton Green Lake here? Nice.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. Ah, good pick. From left field. Didn't see that one coming. Doug, why don't you come from right field and make a pick?

SPEAKER_00

All right. I'm gonna come from right field because I've been watching this team uh get better and better the last couple of years, and they got some more good young kids coming. I'm gonna pick Laconia.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, all right. Steve, why don't you come from center field with your all going with uh with dark horse picks? Why don't you give me, I believe they are the Hornets teague of Marcusan, and it's so funny. I was wearing my uh wrestle like a hornet shirt yesterday when I was mowing lawns, and someone said, Hornets, where is that from? I said, Oh, that's Richmond Center, and I said it's one of three Hornet mascots in the state. I said Richmond Center, and then I said the other one, which I can't remember right now. I go, I can't remember the third one, and there it is, Marcusan.

SPEAKER_00

Uh Watoma is the Hornets.

SPEAKER_01

That's probably it. Maybe there's four then.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what? Richland Center, Marcusan, Watoma, and I believe maybe I did say Watoma.

SPEAKER_01

My why, my mind works the. Did you say Cadass? Kadot was the uh the other one, correct?

SPEAKER_02

There's gotta be more Hornets, maybe not. Yeah, I don't think so. All right, wrap us up here, Doug. I think we're we're not we're a little over an hour in, but we're getting a little slap happy.

SPEAKER_01

Doug, you have first Doug, you have first pick on this one, so I just want to let you know that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, dang it. Um so sectional G, the Fall River co-op, Fall River, Cambria, Randolph, and Ryo, uh came down from D2. Uh, and then it's kind of a 50-50 split again of F and G, like we've seen uh uh other times. Yeah, what are your thoughts here, dog? Oh lord, I have no idea.

SPEAKER_01

You wanna punt and I'll go first on this one? Yes, please. Yeah, I'm gonna say numbers and talent are for the Blue Jays, they're gonna take this one. I'm gonna go with Cambridge, making their first ever trip to Team State. Do they still have Incha? They do not, but they have uh they have uh some yeah, they got good numbers. They got they got some good numbers, good talent coming back.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I think Cambridge is the favorite, Steve. I don't know if you can go wrong here.

SPEAKER_01

You can always go home of uh Alma Moder of Jamie Lurquin.

SPEAKER_02

I I was thinking that, but I'm gonna go even deeper, Paul. I'm taking Lake Country Lutheran.

SPEAKER_01

Nice, that's a good pick.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I I wasn't aware that Cambridge was uh more of a favorite here. I I missed that one. Uh, but I was leaning towards Lake Country Lutheran, so I'm gonna go with Teague on this one and say Lake Country Lutheran.

SPEAKER_01

Well, at least when you guys are wrong, you'll both be wrong together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I was gonna say pick dog. You should never agree with me. I think Steve might have won predictions last year. Oh, and the way early picks you mean? No, I don't know about way early. No, I think it was just the straight up sectional picks. But Rick Flair's alma mater, Wayland Academy. Mike, that's some good knowledge there. I think he means wooland academy. Rick Flair, maybe.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. Good job. Good show, guys. That's fun.

SPEAKER_00

Well, thanks for having me on again.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Happy to have you on, Doug. You put in the time. You're you're an expert in this field, and uh, you know, I had a fun time with you guys tonight. Good to get live again.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know what we're doing next, but hey, here's a question for you. If Aquinas wins state, if Aquinas takes second or first, do they go to D1, D2 then? Is that how that works?

SPEAKER_02

Aquinas needs to just make the semifinals and they go to D2.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Mineral point, yeah. Mineral Point has I think five points.

SPEAKER_01

So basically a state they qualify for state.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Wow. Interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Well, um, don't you get a point just for being in the sectional final?

SPEAKER_02

Not anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Or not anymore, because we have eight teams at state now.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

What if so here's the I think I know the answer to this, but what if you are the uh you're a second place team at sectional, but you qualify at at-large. Is that still uh qualifying for state? I mean, yeah, I'm assuming so, but but you didn't win the sectional.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that would still be a point.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. I just didn't know because you didn't win the sectional if that was the same. But yeah, it makes sense.

SPEAKER_02

Fun stuff. Yeah, you know, maybe in a few years we don't have to talk about competitive balance, but that's well that's hope so.

SPEAKER_01

I like how Doug just smiles and then he laughs and doesn't say anything because he just really gets what wants to come out but doesn't. T before we go, uh Brian asks, T Fenwick, any new favorite restaurants you have?

SPEAKER_02

Any new favorite restaurants? Uh none that I can think of in the lacrosse area off the top of my head. Uh oh, where did I eat at?

SPEAKER_01

Doug, if we're traveling, you keep thinking on that, T. Doug, if we're traveling through your neck of the woods, what's the restaurant, the go-to restaurant for everybody to hit?

SPEAKER_00

Well, everyone talks about Wentz on the lake for their fish fry. So you definitely gotta hit Wentz on the lake if you like fish fry. Uh, there's a little place at the bottom of the lake called Schmidty's that has all the craft beers you can think of and a huge menu. And I've never had a bad meal at Schmidty's.

SPEAKER_01

Nice Schmitties. And it's fun to say Schmidty's. Go to Schmittees. T, what do you got?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. New spot that I ate at was the Boot Hill pub located in lacrosse, right before state. Had some pretty good uh clam chowder, and uh what did I get there? I got a patty melt. So that was pretty solid. Yeah, otherwise, I always think of the Italian place in Cumberland was very good. Uh yeah, that's what I got. Steve, I don't know what we're doing next, but oh, we got both the Olston twins watching. Nice cool.

SPEAKER_01

Doug, did you I'm sorry, T cut you off. Did you have anything you were gonna do?

SPEAKER_00

I was just gonna say, uh, if you're going through the Milwaukee area and you want to get the meat sweats, there's a place called Rhodigio. And it's a Brazilian grill, and they just keep bringing you meat on a stick. It is amazing.

SPEAKER_02

Rodigio. Okay, is that kind of like there's like a Tejas de Brazil or something down there, too? But yeah. Rodigio is where it's at.

SPEAKER_00

You uh flip up a green or a red thing. If it's green, they just keep bringing the meat.

SPEAKER_01

And wow, that sounds awesome. It is great. You you you had me at meat sweats.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, one of my students tipped me off, and uh, I took my whole family there for my birthday dinner this year, and it was amazing.

SPEAKER_02

I'm I'm just gonna watch YouTube videos of Brazilian steakhouses now.

SPEAKER_01

I think this is the great part. I don't have to remember it. I just know that when I want to go there, I just I just text Doug and say, Doug, what's that place called again? And then that's what I'm gone. So I got I gotta go eat now. Damn. All right, folks. Doug, Doug, we appreciate you. Uh Brian, no, I uh do not live in Holman. Uh I'm in the Fort Atkinson, Milton area, so that's where I'm at. But Doug, we appreciate your expertise. And uh, folks, appreciate you tuning in.

SPEAKER_02

We'll find something next week and talk about. Yeah, thank you, everybody. Thank you, Doug. Thank you, Steve. Until next time, we'll catch you on the flip flip.
