Having a daily quiet time sounds simple—until you try to actually do it. In this conversation, Discipleship Pastor Grant Caldwell breaks down why Bible reading and prayer can feel so hard to start (and even harder to sustain), and reframes the goal: not perfection, but abiding fellowship with God.
Grant offers a practical starting point—Place, Plan, and People—and walks through the 5-Day Bible Reading Plan (Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, or all three) and why its built-in margin makes it sustainable. He also introduces the MAPS method (Meditate & Memorize, Apply, Pray, Share) as a simple way to engage Scripture in a living, relational rhythm.
Love must lead every spiritual gift. Learn how to walk with Christ by pursuing love, desiring the gifts, and using them to build others up, not yourself.
In this message from 1 Corinthians 12:12–31, Missions Pastor Nathan Cook explores what it means to live as one body with many members—each uniquely gifted and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Through personal stories and biblical insight, he calls the church to unity under Christ’s headship, urging believers to discover their God-given gifts and align them with the shared mission of making disciples.
From the sidelines of Mississippi State football to the pulpit of Christ Church, Pastor Hal Hall’s journey is one of calling, courage, and conviction. In this conversation, Hal reflects on faith that outlasts success and the unexpected ways God redirects our plans. With warmth and humor, he shares stories of family, mentorship, and the deep joy of seeing people awakened to the things of God.
When money feels tight and anxiety rises, God invites us to anchor our hearts in His promises—and discover peace that outlasts the storm.

In this message from Shipshape: The Stewardship Series, Pastor Paul Lawler unpacks Jesus’ parable of the talents from Matthew 25:14–30. Every believer has been entrusted with God-given gifts, resources, and opportunities—yet the tragedy of wasted potential looms large when we bury rather than steward what we’ve been given. Discover why saving faith is serving faith, what “Well done, good and faithful servant” really means, and how living with “full sails” positions us for eternal reward.
Are spiritual gifts signs of spiritual maturity? Paul’s words to the Corinthians reveal a deeper truth: the Spirit’s gifts aren’t for self-promotion but for glorifying Christ and building up the church.
The Corinthians turned the Lord’s Supper into a selfish banquet—and Paul called them back to its true purpose. What happens when we rediscover communion as a means of grace, unity, and revival?
In a world shaped by cultural preferences, how do believers honor God’s design, reflect His glory, and build a church culture where His presence dwells? The Apostle Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 11 challenges us to go deeper.

Struggling to read the Bible consistently? You’re not alone. In this episode, we introduce the MAPS method. This simple, repeatable framework was designed by David Platt and was designed to help you meditate, apply, pray, and share Scripture each day with confidence. We’ll unpack why so many believers feel stuck, explore common dead-end approaches to Bible reading, and show you how the right perspective, community, and plan can transform your time in God’s Word.
Whether you’re brand new to personal Bible study or looking to deepen your spiritual rhythms, this conversation will equip you to approach Scripture without guilt and with renewed joy.
Discover the Apostle Paul’s call to embrace true Christian liberty by laying down personal rights, avoiding idolatry, and seeking God’s glory in all things. Learn how 1 Corinthians 10 challenges us to imitate Christ and love our neighbors for the sake of the gospel.

What happens when you step out of your comfort zone and say yes to God’s calling? In this episode, the Richardson family shares how their trip to Bidi Bidi changed their hearts, deepened their faith, and taught them the true meaning of joy.
------
In this episode of Latitude, Emily and Kirk Richardson share their family’s transformative mission trip to Bidi Bidi, a refugee settlement in Uganda. What began as a senior trip idea for their daughter Emma became a life-changing journey of faith, obedience, and joy. The Richardsons recount stories of worship, connection, and trust—learning from people who have little materially but live with overflowing joy. Through moments of fear, provision, and Holy Spirit-led encounters, they discovered that stepping out of comfort zones allows God to work powerfully in unexpected ways.
What matters more, holding tightly to your rights or laying them down for the sake of others? The Apostle Paul’s letter to the Corinthians challenges us to rethink Christian freedom, self-control, and what it really means to live for the gospel.
Christian liberty is a gift, but without love, it can destroy. Discover why the Apostle Paul says being “right” isn’t enough, and how guarding the conscience of others reflects the very heart of Christ.

In 1 Corinthians 8, Paul addresses a dispute over eating meat sacrificed to idols, showing that knowledge alone, even if correct, can lead to pride and insensitivity. While some believers understood idols were nothing, others’ consciences were still tied to their past idol worship. Exercising liberty without considering weaker believers could damage their faith and even lead them into sin. Paul insists love must govern liberty: if an action risks causing someone to stumble, refrain from it. True maturity is measured not by what we know, but by our willingness to lay down our rights for the sake of God and others.
Discover how Scripture flips the cultural script on being unmarried, revealing a calling far richer than the world imagines.

Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 7 shows that singleness is a good and valuable gift, not a consolation prize. It offers unique opportunities for undivided devotion to God, requires wisdom when moving toward marriage, and provides new family and mission within the church. Whether single or married, believers are called to embrace their God-given season for His glory.
In this week’s message from The Prodigal Church series, Pastor Grant Caldwell dives into a rich and often overlooked truth in 1 Corinthians 7: your vocation is not a detour from your discipleship—it’s part of your calling.
Whether you’re a teacher, artist, stay-at-home parent, accountant, or student, this passage affirms the sacredness of your everyday work. Paul reminds the Corinthian believers—and us—that while our faith changes everything, it doesn’t always mean changing jobs. It means changing how we view and do those jobs, living out our calling in view of the One who bought us with a price.
This sermon explores:
“Your vocation is a sacred act of God’s restoration of this world to a place of human flourishing.”
