HIFU stands for high-intensity focused ultrasound, and is a minimally-invasive treatment using focused sound waves to treat tumors found in the prostate. Dr. Mistry discusses what makes this technology so unique as well as how to know if you are an ideal candidate for this procedure.

Donna Lee and Dr. Mistry also discuss the Gleason score, a number rating system that is used to determine the aggressiveness of a prostate cancer. A Gleason score can be found using a prostate biopsy and is an important consideration when choosing which treatment may be right for you.
