" Why are most urologists or endocrinologists hesitant to prescribe HCG when taking testosterone replacement therapy?"
- Dr. Mistry discusses the role of HCG, or human chorionic gonadotropin, in stimulating testosterone production. When men take an external form of testosterone, like those seen in patches, creams, pellets, or injectable solutions, the body no longer relies on this signal and HCG levels can decrease. Dr. Mistry shares how HCG is used and monitored in his patients, as well as expectations on dosing.
