Potential problems with an uncircumcised penis include the predisposition to cancer, recurrent infections of the head of the penis, recurrent urinary tract infections, and even cause pain during intercourse. To avoid these issues and to make proper hygiene easier, the simplest solution is circumcision. Other problems related to the foreskin include a buried penis, lichen sclerosis, Balanitis Xerotica Obliterans (BXO), and/or urethral stricture disease. While many of these conditions are caused or exacerbated by being overweight, the removal of excess fat from the region by a plastic surgeon can restore the patient's penile length and girth.
