Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
In this segment, NAU Urology Specialist physician Dr. Jacomides and Donna Lee are joined by one of our favorite special guests, talented general surgeon Dr. John Abikhaled. Dr. Abikhaled works for Austin Surgeons and performs many thyroid/gland surgeries, abdominal surgeries including the removal of non-vital organs, and hernia repairs. Today, Dr. Jacomides and Dr. Abikhaled discuss the diagnosis of inguinal hernias (hernias in a man's genital area), the methods available for operating on them, and the recovery time men can expect. They also explain why most hernias are painless and do not constitute true emergencies. Unless the bowel is poking through the separated muscle wall, causing a dangerous and potentially life-threatening bowel strangulation, most hernias can be left untreated until a convenient time for patient and physician.
If you have questions for Dr. Abikhaled, you can email them to firstname.lastname@example.org and they will be forwarded on to him. You can also reach him at the Austin Surgeons website, austinsurgeons.net. Their phone number is (512) 467-7151.
