Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
In this segment Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee dive into some conditions that can occur in men and impact they and their partner's sex lives. In particular, we highlight anorgasmia or hypo-orgasmia, and retrograde ejaculation.
First, what do these terms mean?
Anorgasmia or hypoorgasmia is the inability to achieve orgasm or climax after ample sexual stimulation. This can make sex at times feel like more of a chore and even a source of frustration between partners. Causes range from uncontrolled diabetes to the side effects of medications, or even a hormonal imbalance, and should be evaluated thoroughly.
Retrograde ejaculation occurs when semen makes its way into the bladder rather than coming out of the head of the penis during ejaculation. While this is pretty harmless to the male body, it can impact sexual performance and even point to underlying conditions such as nerve damage or high blood sugar levels.
Dr. Mistry shares about several effective treatments and cases of getting patients back on their feet, and back to those beds.
