Today's listener question comes from a man who had normal lab values at his recent doctor visit, but is considering getting his testosterone level checked.
Dr. Mistry discusses some of the symptoms of a decreased testosterone level, such as: diminished libido, poor erection quality, cognitive decline and, for the physically active, difficulty maintaining muscle mass and a longer recovery time. Additionally, a normal testosterone level falls in a wide range, which means that identifying low and high numbers can be a bit tricky. To receive the best evaluation and outcome for hormone treatment, it is essential to get a "big-picture" of your health.
