Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
In this segment Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee dive into a very sensitive, yet important topic: bumps on the penis (BOTP). Listen in for an in-depth look into the various types of bumps, causes, and when to schedule a visit with your urologist.
Finding a bump "down there", whether on the shaft, scrotum, or head of the penis, can be a scary day in any man's life. Even though it is not always a serious issue, it can interfere with sexual performance and intimacy between partners. Dr. Mistry discusses several causes of bumps (BOTP), including an abscessed hair follicle or blocked sweat glands. These bumps do not require treatment and are usually harmless/painless.
Other causes that may require some form of treatment include a bump resulting from Peyronie's disease, or abnormal curvature of the penis, as well as genital warts that result from the Human Papilloma Virus infection (HPV). At Urology Specialists, our providers are ready to answer any questions you may have and give you the head-to-toe treatment you deserve.
