Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.

In this segment Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee discuss their whole-body approach to caring for patients, and answer a listener question about testosterone after cancer treatment.

If you have a urology and health-related question that you would like to hear answered on the air, please email your questions to armormenshealth@gmail.com. Questions are answered anonymously, unless otherwise specified, and the answers will likely benefit many people with the same concerns.

Today's question comes from a 65 year old male who had a radical prostatectomy one year ago (surgical removal of the prostate for treatment of prostate cancer).  He has noticed changes in his libido and sex life, which has led him to consider starting testosterone therapy.

Dr. Mistry shares that this is a very common and important question to a man's quality of life after prostate cancer. Research actually shows that poor testosterone levels can be a factor in the development and aggression of prostate cancers. While there are several ways to start testosterone therapy, it is best to find a qualified health professional that is experienced with hormone therapy as well as cancer treatments.

At Urology Specialists, we believe in the importance of quality of life after cancer care. Whether that means correcting hormone imbalances, adopting a new eating style, or evaluating your movement and sleep, we're ready to keep you in the game.
