Dr. Sandeep Mistry and Donna Lee

Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.

In this segment Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee answer a listener question and discuss some of the changes that occur during puberty, as well as expectations and when to consider further evaluation.

As a reminder, if you have a urology and health-related question that you would like to hear answered on the air, please email your questions to armormenshealth@gmail.com. Questions are answered anonymously, unless otherwise specified, and the answers will likely benefit many people with the same concerns.

Dr. Mistry shares with listeners that going through puberty can be a fragile time for the adolescents in our lives. It can impact their confidence, academic ability, physical performance, and motivations. If, by age 14-15, boys do not experience things like growth spurts or changes to voice or facial/pubic hair, this can be a great time to consult with a physician to be sure that all anatomy and hormone levels are intact.

Today's question comes all the way from Salt Lake City, Utah from a father concerned about some testicular pain that his son has been experiencing. Dr. Mistry discusses the various causes of testicular pain in adolescents, as well as symptoms and available treatments.
