Dr. Wang is committed to improving women's health and shares some great insight today on the impact of pregnancy in a woman's life as well as supporting the new mothers in our lives.
Pregnancy is a dynamic change for women. Not only is a pregnant woman's body changing physically but also mentally and emotionally. Dr. Wang shares that during the first half of pregnancy, 20 weeks, it can be challenging to feel connected or attached to baby since many women will not yet be showing very much. She shares some of the feedback that OB/GYN physicians can provide, particularly during this early period where baby is developing and growing rapidly.
Dr. Mistry and Dr. Wang talk about mood changes that can be experienced after childbirth, as well as when to consult with a mental health provider or OB/GYN for further care.
