Thanks for tuning in to the Armor Men’s Health Hour Podcast today, where we bring you the latest and greatest in urology care and the best urology humor out there.
In this segment, Dr. Mistry and Donna Lee answer a patient question on prostate cancer. When men receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer, it can be difficult to know where to go from there. Knowing what questions to ask of your urologist can make selecting the best treatment option for you and your family much easier. Today, Dr. Mistry explains what biopsy results mean and how they're interpreted as well as how to determine what treatment biases urologists are likely to have. As always, Dr. Mistry recommends that anyone diagnosed with a major or potentially life-threatening condition seek out a second opinion before committing to treatment. Importantly, the treatment option you and your doctor select should be chosen to help you live not just longer, but also BETTER. People are living longer than ever, but many of those years are spent in ill health. For more information on increasing your "health span" vs. your "life span," listen to AMHH episode: "Increasing Your 'Health Span:' Shefaly Ravula on How Everyday Nutrition and Lifestyle Factors Impact Longevity."
