The story of three Australian brothers whose grandmother emigrated from West Wratting in Cambridgeshire not only pays tribute to these young men (only one of the three came back from the Great War, and he suffered as a PoW) but also demonstrates how readily available sources of local history reveal a greater depth to stories of emigration in the 19th Century.
