Ever caught yourself waiting for perfect conditions before taking action? In this raw and reflective episode, I share how I almost postponed recording because I forgot my microphone—but then realized that's exactly the kind of excuse that derails progress. Sometimes the most powerful creative moments happen when we simply push through our hesitations.

My recent trip to Austin marked a significant breakthrough in my personal and creative journey. The city's vibrant energy matched perfectly with my recently cleared chakra system, creating connections with like-minded souls everywhere we went. But the real transformation came through hosting my first-ever 8AM DJ event—something I'd dreamed about for years but kept overcomplicating.

When my coach bluntly told me, "They're there to see YOU," I faced a profound truth about stepping into my authentic power. I'd been planning an elaborate 7-hour event with monks and multiple components, not fully owning that I was the attraction people wanted to experience. This required a level of self-acceptance I hadn't previously embodied—putting myself on promotional materials as if I were "Drake or something" felt uncomfortable yet necessary. The resulting 3-hour DJ set in a transformed yoga studio became one of the most meaningful experiences of my creative career.

The spiritual dimension of the journey deepened when Christian volunteers helped break down our event until 4am, then invited me to their Bible study the following night. This led to powerful reflections on Christ consciousness, metaphorical teaching, and spiritual baptism as inner transformation rather than external ritual. The crucifixion, I've come to believe, serves as an energetic anchor point that elevates consciousness whenever we contemplate its meaning.

Speaker 1:

What's up guys. Welcome back to the podcast vlog thing. We are on the move. We're back on Cape where I like to film these. I need to repent for my sin. I said I was going to do every day for 90 days and then I flew to Austin. I woke up at 3 in the morning, like a week ago, to fly to Texas to Austin. I woke up at three in the morning, like a week ago, to fly to Texas to start, uh well, I, it was kind of like a guy's weekend and then I threw, obviously, the 8am event If you follow me closely, um, the first ever 8am DJ set event, um thing and it was pretty awesome and it was pretty awesome, honestly, really awesome. But I didn't record any of these. So I feel a little bit of I have to like repent for my sin. Yeah, so the other thing was what's interesting and I feel like this message is always relevant, no matter where I'm at Like I planned to come over to the beach to film this and then I actually forgot my microphone that I typically plug into my phone to record these, which makes it sound nice and crispy, but I forgot it, and so you know, here we are, and so I was like dang I, I guess I'll just do it tomorrow.

Speaker 1:

But I was like you know what, no, not another excuse, because if it doesn't happen right now, it might not happen tomorrow. I might have an excuse tomorrow. So I'm gonna go on a walk and I'm gonna do it now and I'm just gonna do it with my phone. Because you know what, back when I was really in like one of my biggest peak flow states of my whole life I still look back at this time with like awe and amazement, when I was doing my 100 day challenge and I was doing my Napoleon Hill goal setting and just my cold shower routine and all that like I was 18, 19, 20 years old and I just didn't miss a day and I never had an excuse and I was filming on an iPhone five and you know what? You can hear those videos great, so there never needs to be an excuse.

Speaker 1:

And that's kind of the first message to kick off today's video, which I think is I think is always relevant because, um, I don't know, we always make excuses. It's like a constant thing that we just always do and I feel like even just to have this in your ears or you're watching it or whatever, and you know you, you're like, you know I'm going to, I'm going to not put off what I said I was going to do. Even though the conditions aren't perfect, it's always a useful message. It's always always useful. So I hope it's useful to you today and, if it is, let me know Message comment whatever. I like to see the messages, especially from recording these. But the next thing, the next thing on the agenda today that I really wanted to talk about, was just kind of like a breakdown of this whole past week and I'll probably go and sit down somewhere pretty soon to record the rest of this.

Speaker 1:

But yeah, obviously I just got back from Austin, texas, and it was really interesting. It was my first time there Very, very nice, good energy city, like everybody that we met, and obviously this has a lot to do with like the frequency that you hold and like my, my energy has been like super on point lately, like I just feel very clear channel in my chakra system lately, like like uh, the last two years I felt like I had kind of a weight on my chest, but it's very clear now and um, so I guess I attracted, and or my group attracted, a lot of really cool people. One of the guys I went with his name is quasi joe here. He's like he's a youtuber, but he was also. I knew him before he was a YouTuber back in college and I ended up being the best man at his wedding, like four years ago, which was a lot of fun and I guess it was yeah, it was about four years ago, three and a half four years ago, but I knew him back before that. Like, I've known him quasi for like six or seven years at this point, which is kind of crazy. But yeah, I went with him and it was kind of a guy's weekend and, yeah, it was. It was a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun. It was very much, um, lots of shenanigans. You know, we, we went out a couple of times, we met a lot of people and, as I said, everyone in Austin like very bright, open energy, everyone in Austin like very bright, open energy, very into health and fitness, very into like spirituality.

Speaker 1:

And then you know, of course, we threw this, this 8 am event, which was something kind of honestly, a dream of mine for a long time and I felt I'd been resisting it and one of the things that you know, transparently, I wanted to talk about was like the fact that when I was making the flyer for the event and kind of organizing and and uh, just um, envisioning what the event was actually going to be, it was like I, when I, when I, when I initially envisioned the event, I was like this is going to be, you know, it's going to represent 8am, so it's there's going to be these values that we've even talked about in these videos, these philosophy videos, which is like it's going to be like alignment, creation and connection. Those are going to be the concepts that people will feel throughout the event. And so I wanted it to be like really long, like seven, eight hour event First part, like I wanted to bring in a monk and then I wanted to like bring in like some activities in the middle or something, and then I wanted to do a DJ set at the end. And the closer I got to the event, I kept getting this instinct, this intuition that was popping into my mind, which was like I kept getting this instinct. This intuition that was popping into my mind, which was like I kept getting this instinct, it was like all you need, like it was basically just like you made the album. The album is the album is the thing, like the 8am album and like the other. You know the music that I've been working on and everything like that is the transformation. The music that I've been working on and everything like that is the transformation and people don't care about.

Speaker 1:

Like, at one point I was going to book Brian Callen, who is like he's a comedian. You probably know or have heard of him, but, brian, we have the same personal trainer and I know him, so I was going to have him come perform and I know him, so I was going to have him come perform. But then I realized like wait, and this was uh, in part with, uh, you know, one of the this, uh, this really amazing coach that I've worked with. His name is Alan Alan Howard. I would highly recommend, if you're high performing kind of guy in in entrepreneurship or arts or or whatever, to work with him. Um, entrepreneurship or arts or whatever to work with him. Um, he was like dude, they're there to see you. I was like what? He was like bro, like stop trying to wrap all this stuff around it. Like they want you, they want your music and that's, that's it. And I was just like what the fuck? You're right, it's so beautiful back here, it's like I don't even know it's so beautiful, it's so beautiful, I love it here. Um, he's like they want to see you and I was like shit.

Speaker 1:

And so then I redesigned the poster for the event and I put me on it with my arms outstretched at the DJ booth. And keep in mind, like again, I really don't have that much experience DJing at the DJ booth, and keep in mind, like, again, I really don't have that much experience DJing. Um, and and I'm like, well, fuck, I guess I'm like a he's like dude, you're a rock star. I was like shit, I'm a rock star, whoa Cause, I didn't really see myself that way, you know. But you know, we, we put up the partiful we had in Austin. You know, 100 people uh from my, from my following an audience in austin alone, like these videos, these podcasts uh get around. I think they get around 3 000 collective listens or views roughly per episode between youtube and spotify, and and Apple, and that's cool, right, but like, for 100 people to like show up in person, let alone people that like knew who I was in Austin and like didn't get off the couch Right, like it's. That's a lot of people, yeah, and so I don't know.

Speaker 1:

It just was kind of like a really eye opening thing, like people want to, wanted to see me and like what I was and like my art and it was. It was honestly a huge breakthrough. Like people want to see me and I don't have to like wrap the thing and all this other stuff. All this other stuff. I don't know if that makes sense to you guys, cause, like I feel like people who listen to my stuff or watch my stuff they might think I'm oozing with self-confidence and like everything and I know that people obviously want to see might seem obvious, but, um, I am, I am very confident. It's just that's like a different level. You know to be like slapping yourself on posters like you're like, like you're Drake or something, and just thinking like, oh, people are gonna come see this because it's me Like that's a different level of like self-love. I guess I was gonna say self-absorption, but it's not. I guess it just is what it is. You know it just is and that's what it's come to, and so that's what that is. So, yeah, so that was interesting.

Speaker 1:

The event went amazing and, yeah, I ended up shortening it. Previously it was like five to 11 pm or five to midnight and I shortened it to like basically 8 pm to 11, 11.30. So it was like three hours, three and a half hours and it was just like I just like ripped a set and a half hours and it was just like I just like ripped a, ripped a set and the whole thing was decorated. We poured like we poured like 10, 15, 20 grand or so. It was probably around 15 grand into the event. We had sushi, we had like crazy decorations, um, and it was in this like super zen yoga studio, so we like transformed the whole space but it had the energetics of a yoga studio, not a club. That was kind of part of the vision. And, yeah, the set was was really dope. It was very fun. I feel a lot more comfortable, like where you know I was using like the the top of the top club DJ equipment that you can, that you can uh get Um, and yeah it was, and yeah it was great, like it was amazing.

Speaker 1:

It's always amazing to meet people in person too that have followed me for a little while and like see and feel that connection in real life, because obviously, just like shooting videos like this into the void, there's less of a connection. But now when I shoot this, it almost feels like I'm shooting it more to like real people. Like it almost feels like I'm shooting it to like a friend that I met because, um, and like giving them an update about like where I'm at, it just feels a lot more real, so that that that was like also a really great element. Just like meeting people that actually listen to my music, like Like one guy I met. He was like I was listening to your album on the way here. I was like, bro, that's so sick and yeah, it was really an amazing event.

Speaker 1:

I think the highlight for me was I was like nearing the end of the event and I'm looking around everything, like we had ordered all this stuff, like my events team had ordered all this stuff from Amazon and the like. We had to pack it all down and like we had all this rental equipment and lighting and the DJ booth and the table and the stage and like all this stuff and we had to break it down and I realized like we just didn't have enough people. We had like four people to like that set it up, but then we had we had to have, like have, like, uh, it took a long time, so like all day. And then it was like midnight and I was exhausted and this guy harrison, who's like local to austin, he's like I have 10 friends that are down to volunteer and so this guy harrison, funny enough, is like christian and runs this bible study every monday with like there's like 400 people in this Bible study and a hundred people show up every single week. And it was just like I was like what, you got 10 people to volunteer? Like bro, this is like literally like a blessing from God and I just felt the fragrance of like the Christian kind of methodology and the Christian way, you know, of like volunteering work and like the Christ spirit. Like these people don't like they don't even know me and I guess, like some people did, but for the most part you know, they were just doing it out of the goodness of their heart, which was just like I was just so grateful. Um so yeah, that that was just really incredible. Um so yeah, that that was just really incredible. Um, that people did that and I was just, I just felt so incredibly blessed to do that. Um, oh, I just stepped on a jellyfish I'm sorry, jellyfish, oh man. Oh well, um, I to look where I'm stepping a little bit, okay, so, yeah, so they stayed till like three at four and three in the morning to help break everything down. We got it all done and it was. It was really just beautiful, like it was, I don't know I, I I was kind of at a loss for words and then the next night I ended up going to that Bible study and obviously you guys know I'm on my like spiritual stuff here on this channel, specifically with the alignment and the creation and the connection and all that.

Speaker 1:

And we read Philippians 4, which is super, super cool. Like I never really knew what Philippians was, but I learned quite a bit more about the structure of the Bible and like exactly who the Apostle Paul was. Like I knew who he was, but I learned quite a bit more about the structure of the Bible and like exactly who the apostle Paul was. Like I knew who he was but I didn't understand. Like Philippians, oh, it's like letters to these, this like town of people and preaching the gospel to them. So that was cool, that was cool. That was cool.

Speaker 1:

Um, we read Philippians four, the messages. Messages. Message was good it was, it was good it was. It was basically like. The message was basically like rejoice in all things, good or bad. The message was like you know, in everything you know, have christ like within you, have, you know, focused on christ, and you'll be able to do things, even in good times or bad times and suffering, and when you're when you're when you're saddened, when you're down, or when you're when you're uh, winning, when you're having success and all things, have the Christ within you. Right, and at least I read it as like the, the spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, um less more focused on, like the physical Jesus.

Speaker 1:

But one thing I've been thinking about, like just because obviously my interpretation of of the, the whole, uh, christian theology, is like, of course, like Jesus was a real person, walked the earth. I personally believe in the crucifixion, like it did actually happen, and I do believe that he basically was a perfect being, like a like meaning, like god himself did send, like a perfect being, aspect of his soul realized in the human flesh, to come and help humanity realize that they too can ascend to that level of God consciousness and God energy and God spirit within. And what I've been wondering about is like, okay, well then, what was the point of the crucifixion and what, why? And also like why did Jesus speak in these like weird parables, like why didn't he just like talk? Like I'm talking right now and I think I got the answer. I posted it on Instagram but it was like and I have this Yogananda second coming of Christ, gpt, but the answer is basically like One, jesus was in a time where, like he couldn't really spread the message because of the Roman and the Jewish Sanhedrin, like the Roman authority and the Sanhedrin and the Pharisees were like out to get him.

Speaker 1:

It was like a very specific time, so he had to kind of speak in code language. So that's number one. Number two he was speaking in a way, like metaphorically, that would speak into people's awakened souls, like those who have ears to hear and eyes to see will understand the way. And so that's what the metaphors kind of do. They kind of penetrate past the low consciousness mind and go straight to the high, higher god consciousness within you. So you might read it one day when you're lower energy and not get it, but then at a later point in your life when you've ascended and you have the holy spirit within you or you're just awakening, or maybe it helps awaken you, then that's why it's written that way. So it's kind of um, yeah, it's kind of like a, a, uh, a, you know a thing, a thing, mechanism it's? It's to bypass the lower consciousness and go straight to the God consciousness as each, within each and every one of us, and so that's um, yeah, that that's that's the second reason.

Speaker 1:

The first is like the historical context of the Romans and the Jewish and the Sanhedrin and everything, and how that was like difficult to deal with, for for Jesus to speak freely. The second was like speaking, you know, directionally, like that. And I think the third and this goes back to the crucifixion thing it's like it's just like, it's just like stands the test of time longer, like it just it makes people think and question and talk about it. And then like eventually you get to the truth, but the metaphor and the beauty of the metaphor, like you need, like thou, you will like whatever. It is like you ascend when you are reborn of. You only get the kingdom of heaven when you are reborn of water and spirit.

Speaker 1:

Like he could have said, you, you have to cleanse your consciousness and then and then, like you know, focus on like the the God, essence, energy within you. But that's like way, that's way less poetic and like memorable than you need to be born of water and spirit. You know, like, obviously you don't in my opinion, you don't obviously, like you don't need to get dipped in an ocean by a priest guy. You don't need to go to the Jordan River and get dipped back in the ocean. I mean, maybe you do need to get baptized, what do I actually know? But I personally don't sense it like that. It's actually about that. It's not about a physical baptism, it's a about that. Like it's not about a physical baptism, it's a spiritual baptism.

Speaker 1:

Right, like you need to cleanse your consciousness of like this is where, like, repenting comes in, like if you did something and you're holding on to the guilt frequency or the shame frequency. I literally was talking to my friend about this the other day and I kind of helped baptize him, so he was born again. Like he got out of a relationship and he felt really guilty. This is like a year ago he felt really guilty about being in the relationship and he was holding on to that guilt. He felt guilty about leaving it because, like he was with her for a long time and he felt guilty about leaving her, because he felt like he left her with nothing, and so I literally had to like help him, like, like dude, like you have to let go of this guilt, like you have to acknowledge it and you have to again cleanse yourself, like that's what water does water is cleansing.

Speaker 1:

So that's what I think jesus meant when he was talking about that, and he couldn't directly say it because it was against the teachings of, you know, the, the current modern day, and no one was really super awakened back then. Um, I think probably Nicodemus was, who was, like you know, one of the Sanhedrin, and then, of course, there were probably others as well. But real recognizes real, you know, I think a lot of the Pharisees back then were super focused on, like, the power that they had and just trying to keep law and order. And they weren't. They were more like in their egos and their lower self than their higher ascended self. So, yeah, that's kind of my take on that, but anyway, yeah, I think again, like the crucifixion was probably more so, like the function of it was to serve like a representation, a powerful, like symbolic representation that you can always think to, to anchor to that every time you think about it actually having happened.

Speaker 1:

It's like a raising of your energy and a raising of your consciousness. It's. It's like a. It's like a. The purpose of it was to serve as a some, like a symbolic, uh, ever, ever memorable moment at which, every time you contemplate it, your, your consciousness is like, is literally risen, like your energy is risen, you're renewed through even thinking about that that it actually happened. Um, and it gives you eternal life, eternal energy. Like, even as I'm talking about this, you kind of feel it Right. So, um, yeah, I, I think there's like a super powerful metaphysical energy to the crucifixion, but again, I think a lot of this is internal and spiritual, obviously. Um, I mean, christ said like he commits his soul to the father, or whatever. Some of his last words are on the cross, something along those lines, yeah, so that's kind of been what's going on in my mind lately. I feel like this episode is pretty powerful.

Speaker 1:

I hope to disseminate this message to you to lift up your spirit and if you're watching the video, if you're not, I mean hopefully you get a little bit of the ocean waves in the background. I think the sound is like mastered, so maybe it won't be quite as clean as you won't be able to hear the ocean is clean, or maybe we just won't master this one. I'll listen to it in the car on the way back and decide. But yeah, I hope this was useful. If it was, if you resonate with these ideas, go to 8amappcom. Very shortly.

Speaker 1:

The new 8am AI platform is coming out, which I'm very excited about and has a very serious function that I haven't seen anybody else do yet.
