Well, hello there, and welcome back to another episode of the All Around Growth Podcast, a show that provides insight and tools to build the life and homestead of your dreams. My name is Rob Kaiser, and I am your host. Today is Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022. And we're gonna mix it up today and talk about the top 10 trending Twitter topics on this Tuesday. And from those topics, we will likely have some interesting dialogue and gain some insight into why we are doing what we are doing. So without further ado, let's go ahead and take a look at some of the trending topics on Twitter. Let me pull them up. Trending. Number one, NFL, Marcus Mariota. The Falcons agree to terms on a two-year contract with quarterback Marcus Mariota. Two, politics. Supreme Court. Opening statements conclude the first day of confirmation hearings of the new Supreme Court justice. Number three, wrestling. WWE Raw. Looks like Monday Night Raw is airing on USA. And that is trending and coming in at number three. Number four, we've got technology trending with hashtag Venmult Forward. Number five, we've got Judge Jackson trending in politics again. The news and career, or rather, the life and career of Judge Katanji Brown Jackson. Number six, video games are trending. With Wi-Fi you. Or we you, rather. Asking the question of how old were you when every Smash game came out? Seven, competition shows. Trending. Hashtag American Song Contest. The American Song Contest, the US version of Eurovision's song contest, airs on NBC. It's the biggest televised music event you've ever seen. It's finally here. Number eight, arts and culture. We've got the Aries season is officially here, and Aries is trending. And uh number nine, what is trending in music is BTS Hurdle. K-pop fans attempt to guess the song in seven attempts or less as they play BTS Hurdle, which is a take on the viral brain teaser brain teaser wordle. And finally, number 10, hashtag World Down Syndrome Day is trending. And World Down syndrome is observed on March 21st to advocate for full inclusion in society of individuals with Down syndrome. Alright. Well guys, nothing really stood out to me in terms of what's trending because at this point in life I really try to uh avoid the news. And uh quite frankly, I have no idea what's going on with any of these trending topics, and you might not either. So let's just talk about them in general during the commute today. So number one, top trending topic was Marcus Mariota. Alright guys, I don't play, I mean I well, I used to play sports, and one would think that someone who used to be as athletic as I was, who played as many sports as I was or did, would be interested in sports, especially since I played football. That was my primary sport. But I don't. I played a little bit of football in college, I have no interest in anything anymore. Sports, otherwise, it just doesn't do it for me. I understand what it's all about, and moreover, at this point in life, I've come to believe that sports are just simply one element of the circus that is provided to us with the bread to keep us satiated and complacent. Right. So number two, politics, supreme court. I have heard some things in and throughout Hotep Nation about this. Hotep Nation is a community I am involved in. I will link to Hotep Nation in the show notes so you can learn more. Great people, great initiatives, and uh it appears as though there's some controversy with this Supreme Court nominee or confirmed justice, rather. We'll get to that in a second because this is in the top ten trending Twitter topics twice. Number three, we've got WWE Raw, and looks like World Wrestling, whatever it is now, entertainment, worldwide. I don't I don't know. It used to be WWF, the World Wrestling Federation or whatever. And now it's changed and gone through all these iterations, and look guys, I'll be frank, there's I follow a a Twitter account called No Context Flair, and it's just random clips of Rick Flair. And there was some sort of, at least there is for me now, in my 40s, 20 years into the 21st century, some appeal of the old wrestling from the 80s. And I didn't even watch that as a kid, but it it it harkens back to a different time and a different place. Now it again, just like any other sport, it's a distraction. Technology, this hashtag Venmoldforward, I don't even know what that is. I have no idea, but apparently there's been over 12,000 tweets with this. And again, number five coming in with politics trending. We've got Judge Jackson and the life and career of Judge Katanji Brown Jackson. If I'm not mistaken, our president, great leader Joseph Biden, uh made some comments about this individual's race and gender and how that factored into the selection process. The actual comments, I don't know, but this whole thing has uh a weird. It's just it's just weird. And um I don't know. We'll see how this all shakes out, but I'm not gonna follow it. Go check out what's trending if you want to have at it. Alright, number six, video games. We got Wii U. And uh how old were you when every Smash game came out? Guys, I don't know what a smash game is, and I don't know much about video games. I think video games are a complete waste of time. Yeah, I think it's a waste of time. I think with everything that we've got available to us, all the tools and resources available to us, compounded with the limited amount of time that we have. I think if we are spending our time playing video games, we need to reevaluate what we're doing. I mean, think about it, guys. We got one third of our time in this life generally spent sleeping. One third of our time spent doing something, generating income, which leaves approximately one-third of our life or eight hours of the day for our family, for our spiritual life, for our physical health, for our social lives, for our you know, any number of things. So even if you just spend an hour a day playing video games, you're pushing fifteen percent more or less, I don't have the mental fortitude to do the math right now, but it's fifteen percent of your free time spent playing a video game. Guys, you may have your reasons for playing video games, but really think about it. Think about the examples that we set. Number seven, competition shows trending. Hashtag American Song Contest. Now this is the US version of the Eurovision Song Contest, and I imagine this is something like America's Got Talent. I don't know. I don't watch this trash. Again, it's a distraction. I've seen far too many people. You know, I'm not gonna go there quite yet. Number eight, arts and culture, Aries, nothing to say there. Nine, music. BTS hurdle, k-pop fans attempt to guess the song in seven attempts or less. I don't even know what k-pop is. Is that like the Korean music? I don't know. We've also got world down syndrome day. Shout out to all the cats with world with world down syndrome. Shout out to everybody with Down Syndrome. Um I don't know anybody personally or I probably do, but Down syndrome along with a number of other conditions is a challenging thing. So it's nice that there is a World Down syndrome day, but where I was going to go with this talking about this American song contest and you know DTS hurdle or whatever is all of these things that are distractions, right? And that is, like in my humble opinion, all right, what what they want is just keep you distracted, keep you dumb, fat, and happy, occupied with sports, circuses, bread. Now you may not be eating the proverbial bread because you've chosen to go keto. Alright, that's fine. I'm not not not I'm not knocking that. But again, I should just do a whole episode dedicated to this because I think the keto diet, while many people approach it with good intentions, I think it's also a distraction, just like all other diets. So guys, this trending Twitter topic Tuesday, the top ten trending Twitter topics has generated some interesting dialogue of what and how. Not entirely sure, but I kind of like having some additional diversity in the show. And I think that as time goes on, we're gonna continue with the trending Twitter topic to provide some additional good stuff for the show.
