Hello there and welcome back to another episode of the All Around Growth Podcast, a show that provides insight and tools to build the life and homestead of your dreams. My name is Rob Kaiser and I am your host. Today is Tuesday, March 29th, 2022, and we are going to dive into the top trending Twitter topics on this Tuesday morning. And if we go into our Twitter app and look for what's happening, who to follow, what's trending for me. And uh alright, trends for you. Will and Jada in trending in the United States. Entertainment trending, Jaden. Trending in the United States, Will and Chris. And trending Jada Smith. Alright, guys, what's trending is this Will Smith Chris Rock incident. And if you are like me, you may have not really understood what was going on initially. You may have not understood that the Oscars took place a couple nights ago. You may have seen memes circulating online of two dudes, one uh doing this lean-in kind of thing with arms behind the back and another guy leaning like he's going to slap him. And at first, I had no understanding or context of what these pictures were. From the back side, Will Smith's head looked like Barack Obama's, but you know, so because I'm on Twitter and I see these things, it was only a matter of time before I put two and two together and figured out what was happening. And it was actually not even Twitter where I discovered that this was the thing that people were talking about. I have a habit, I guess you could say, of looking through Facebook from time to time. And it really my involvement in Facebook is really on account of what I do with others who use Facebook. Right? Like, for example, the family business operates largely from a Facebook following that has over 700 people. The business that employs me at this time has a Facebook page, and that was a way that a lot of people interacted and engaged. Facebook is the largest social media aggregate out there, and that is where I learned it. Now I was previously using newsfeed eradicator to minimize how I engaged, but the reality was that I need to put the algorithms to work for me because there is a feature where you can like businesses and engage certain ways as your page and share things as your page, and I'm trying to do that more with the farm and homestead page, which it which is engage more, which means I have to engage more because I'm representing the farm and homestead. So it's a little bit different, but I'm still I'm still on Facebook, I guess, is the point that I'm trying to make. And it wasn't until I jumped on Facebook to do some either to do something productive or just simply waste some time, that I saw that this was uh a thing, that that that Will Smith had actually gone up and slapped Chris Rock because Chris Rock made some joke about his wife or something. And I I from what I understand, there's some other issues with Will Smith's marriage, and apparently that was something I don't know if they have an open relationship or whatever, and I I don't really care. Um but I'll tell you something, a lot of people do, and I am very grateful that last night when I was doing the volunteer work that I do, that we had a meeting and an initiation of new members, and uh the volunteer work that I do, not to sound dismissive of it, but I'm a member of the Independent Order of Oddfellows. Highly recommended that you check that out. I will link to that and a number of other things in the show notes so that you can learn more about ways that you can get involved in your community and help build a better world. So that didn't come up last night during our meeting, and after the meeting, there was a little bit of excitement, but I won't get into that now. I did I most certainly shared that with the Telegram chat group, and you can, if you're interested and not didn't see any of that uh as of today, you can get in there at t.me slash allaroundgrowth and use the search function or just give a few quick scrolls to acquaint yourself with the dialogue that is currently taking place there. So, yeah, that brings us to today, and I don't really have a whole lot to say about what's trending. Alright, yeah, I get that Will Smith is trending, and when what's hilarious is just over the course of yesterday afternoon, and since I since I saw this, I've seen some tweets, I've read some comments, the tinfoil hat crews are out in full force on this one. Apparently the whole thing was staged, apparently the whole thing is an act, apparently the whole thing is, apparently the whole thing is. The whole thing is a distraction, including but not limited to Will Smith. The whole thing is a distraction, including but not limited to Chris Rock. The whole thing is a distraction, including but not limited to the Oscars. The whole thing is a distraction, including but not limited to Hollywood and the entertainment industry. The whole thing is a distraction, including but not limited to just about everything in this world. Which is why in these troubling times, I find myself taking solace in my spiritual journey. I find myself taking solace in tradition. I find myself taking solace in the old ways. I find myself taking solace in community. I find myself taking solace in family, and I found myself taking solace in brotherhood. I have no time for distraction. I have too many other things on my mind. There's too much work to be done. And my friends, that's what I'm afraid the trending Twitter topics actually are. It's a distraction from everything in life that facilitates a life. That allows us to become closer to Christ. I do believe this. I it after so many years, so many decades of spiritual conflict, it brings me great joy internally, and I can't really do an effective job of articulating this, I don't think. But it brings me great joy to feel as though I'm making progress on this path. Because of all the uncertainty in life, all the uncertainty in all of the aspects in my financial, physical, personal development, family, spiritual, social, career, we've got to find balance. And we've got to avoid the distraction. And if we want to achieve our goals, we have to focus. And if we want to not only achieve our goals, but actually understand them in the first place and understand our motivations, it's really important to understand what God wants for us. And even if we can't understand that, because I also believe that we never will, that we understand that it's important to try and understand life and view life from that perspective. So, guys, I hope that today's trending Twitter topics was of value. Although we didn't talk a whole lot about Twitter or the trending topics themselves, I hope that the insight provided from today's topic allows you to gain some different perspective in life that may actually help you build the life and homestead of your dreams.
