Look Who’s Hiding in Jesus’ Family Tree!

Matthew 1:1-17 You will be a little bored when you read Jesus’ family tree in Matthew 1. But for a Jewish person, this genealogy is anything but bland and boring. On the one hand, it is a very impressive pedigree! But, on closer investigation, this genealogy reveals reminders of colorful people and events that would cause some eyebrow raising and head shaking. Some are downright embarrassing, people and events that you would think Matthew would have hidden. But he didn’t; so what does he want us to learn?
