Advent - Week 2

The Christmas story doesn't end with Christ's arrival—receiving Him correctly is equally important. The Jewish people missed their Messiah because they expected a military warrior, not a humble servant. Today, many create their own version of Jesus, focusing only on love and comfort while ignoring His complete nature. True discipleship requires studying Scripture to know Jesus as He really is, not as we want Him to be. When we receive Christ correctly through His Word, we become His children and carry His light into the world. The reward for receiving Jesus rightly isn't a better life—it's Jesus Himself.
