Palm Sunday reveals Jesus as the unexpected king who chose humility over power, riding a donkey instead of a war horse to fulfill ancient prophecy. The crowds shouted Hosanna, meaning save us now, but they expected political liberation while Jesus came to defeat sin itself. Even His disciples didn't understand until after His resurrection. Jesus' mission extends beyond personal salvation to establishing God's kingdom on earth through His followers. Christians today must rise above political divisions, focus on biblical truth over party loyalty, and participate in the ministry of reconciliation that brings people to Christ.
