I was so impacted by John Mark Comer's book, "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry," earlier this year that I shared my thoughts in a sermon at our church on Mother's Day last spring. Today's episode is the audio recording of that message. Hope you enjoy and are blessed by it as I encourage myself and others to intentionally build communities that encourage us to rest.
Hurry: is the great enemy of our spiritual lives. Theologian / modern philosopher Dallas Willard coined the phrase… “the ruthless elimination of hurry” in response to the fact that hurry is the great enemy of our spiritual life. John Mark Comer wrote a book a few years ago about this with that title and it struck me because as an American woman, as a mom, I’m always in a hurry.
