We have"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":282.22,"endTime":286.51,"body":"two main strands of the project."},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":286.72,"endTime":292.72,"body":"The first one is focusing on the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":286.72,"endTime":292.72,"body":"efficacy and efficiency of tree"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":292.72,"endTime":295.42,"body":"surveys for bats. And it's a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":292.72,"endTime":295.42,"body":"topic that I've spoken a lot"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":295.42,"endTime":299.41,"body":"about and raise the issue that"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":295.42,"endTime":299.41,"body":"the service that we undertake"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":299.41,"endTime":303.28,"body":"are really quite limited, I"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":299.41,"endTime":303.28,"body":"started some work trialling the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":303.28,"endTime":307.66,"body":"use of trail cameras to see if"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":303.28,"endTime":307.66,"body":"we could use them use technology"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":307.66,"endTime":312.43,"body":"and replace surveyor efforts. So"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":307.66,"endTime":312.43,"body":"the first strand of the project"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":312.43,"endTime":316.06,"body":"is really just refining that. The"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":325.96,"endTime":330.28,"body":"second strand is then moving the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":330.28,"endTime":333.79,"body":"next step, which is the really"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":330.28,"endTime":333.79,"body":"exciting step, which is can we"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":333.82,"endTime":337.24,"body":"create that roost in trees by"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":333.82,"endTime":337.24,"body":"wounding them in deliberate"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":337.24,"endTime":341.05,"body":"ways. And this is something that"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":337.24,"endTime":341.05,"body":"various people have tried for a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":341.05,"endTime":345.37,"body":"number of years, I believe. And"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":341.05,"endTime":345.37,"body":"I think the the main limitation"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":345.37,"endTime":347.68,"body":"with previous work is that it's"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":345.37,"endTime":347.68,"body":"just not been monitored. And"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":347.68,"endTime":350.35,"body":"that's because it's very, very"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":347.68,"endTime":350.35,"body":"difficult to establish whether"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":350.35,"endTime":352.9,"body":"bats are using a tree. So we"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":350.35,"endTime":352.9,"body":"have the two elements of the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":352.9,"endTime":355.18,"body":"project really coming together"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":352.9,"endTime":355.18,"body":"that we will create these"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":355.18,"endTime":358.33,"body":"features. And the design of"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":355.18,"endTime":358.33,"body":"those is very much guided by the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":358.33,"endTime":360.97,"body":"data from the battery habitat"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":358.33,"endTime":360.97,"body":"key. And then once we have"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":360.97,"endTime":363.73,"body":"created them, we'll be in a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":360.97,"endTime":363.73,"body":"position where we can use the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":363.73,"endTime":366.73,"body":"trail cameras to establish"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":363.73,"endTime":366.73,"body":"whether they're used, and"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":366.73,"endTime":369.64,"body":"hopefully, they're used by the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":366.73,"endTime":369.64,"body":"species that we intended to be"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":369.64,"endTime":374.8,"body":"used by.
