So I came in"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":224.76,"endTime":229.65,"body":"as a as an infantry man pretty"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":224.76,"endTime":229.65,"body":"quickly figured out that that"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":229.65,"endTime":233.13,"body":"wasn't really where I wanted to"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":229.65,"endTime":233.13,"body":"be, you know, it wasn't a good"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":233.13,"endTime":238.29,"body":"fit for me. So I kind of started"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":233.13,"endTime":238.29,"body":"looking around for for the next"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":238.29,"endTime":241.71,"body":"best thing, you know, or where I"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":238.29,"endTime":241.71,"body":"felt like I might be a good fit"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":241.74,"endTime":247.38,"body":"in the the scout sniper platoon"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":241.74,"endTime":247.38,"body":"happened to be having a doc so I"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":247.38,"endTime":250.44,"body":"went and did that and I got"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":247.38,"endTime":250.44,"body":"picked up for the the stay"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":250.44,"endTime":254.58,"body":"platoon scout sniper platoon."},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":250.44,"endTime":254.58,"body":"And, you know, I spent about"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":254.58,"endTime":259.26,"body":"three years there, love that,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":254.58,"endTime":259.26,"body":"you know, but in the Marine"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":259.26,"endTime":262.71,"body":"Corps, at least back in the 90s."},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":259.26,"endTime":262.71,"body":"At a certain point in your"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":262.71,"endTime":267.09,"body":"career, you come up against"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":262.71,"endTime":267.09,"body":"what's called a B billet and a B"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":267.09,"endTime":269.97,"body":"abilities when they require you"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":267.09,"endTime":269.97,"body":"to go off to be either a drill"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":269.97,"endTime":273.54,"body":"instructor or recruiter. And,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":269.97,"endTime":273.54,"body":"you know, that was about the"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":273.54,"endTime":277.02,"body":"time that it was a decision"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":273.54,"endTime":277.02,"body":"point either re enlist or get"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":277.02,"endTime":281.01,"body":"out. And I and I knew I really"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":277.02,"endTime":281.01,"body":"didn't want to be a drill"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":281.01,"endTime":285.9,"body":"instructor or recruiter. So you"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":281.01,"endTime":285.9,"body":"know, I kind of elected to vote"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":285.9,"endTime":292.5,"body":"with my feet. And, and I got out"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":285.9,"endTime":292.5,"body":"and then reality really set in,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":292.92,"endTime":294.69,"body":"you know, going into the Marine"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":292.92,"endTime":294.69,"body":"Corps straight out of high"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":294.69,"endTime":300.0,"body":"school again at 17. And then"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":294.69,"endTime":300.0,"body":"out. You know, I really wasn't"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":300.0,"endTime":305.16,"body":"prepared for civilian life. And"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":300.0,"endTime":305.16,"body":"getting out as a scout sniper in"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":305.16,"endTime":310.65,"body":"the late 90s. I didn't exactly"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":305.16,"endTime":310.65,"body":"have a marketable skill set. So,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":310.68,"endTime":315.09,"body":"you know, I kind of had a rough"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":310.68,"endTime":315.09,"body":"go of it as a civilian. I wound"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":315.09,"endTime":321.96,"body":"up at a trucking company. And"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":315.09,"endTime":321.96,"body":"when September 11 happened, I"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":321.96,"endTime":326.49,"body":"was still in my inactive reserve"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":321.96,"endTime":326.49,"body":"commitment. And, you know, I"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":326.49,"endTime":330.6,"body":"called up the the marine reserve"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":326.49,"endTime":330.6,"body":"support command and volunteered"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":330.6,"endTime":338.01,"body":"to mobilize as a as an ima. They"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":330.6,"endTime":338.01,"body":"called me back. And essentially,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":338.01,"endTime":341.97,"body":"they told me, I was going to be"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":338.01,"endTime":341.97,"body":"augmenting the military police"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":341.97,"endTime":345.99,"body":"at Quantico, which is not"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":341.97,"endTime":345.99,"body":"exactly what I was trying to get"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":345.99,"endTime":351.09,"body":"after coming back. At this point"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":345.99,"endTime":351.09,"body":"in time I was married, my wife"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":351.09,"endTime":355.32,"body":"was active duty Air Force. So I"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":351.09,"endTime":355.32,"body":"elected to kind of pivot, you"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":355.32,"endTime":359.7,"body":"know that that's kind of a"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":355.32,"endTime":359.7,"body":"common theme. So I pivoted and"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":359.7,"endTime":364.98,"body":"decided to join the Air Force."},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":359.7,"endTime":364.98,"body":"And, you know, not to inflate"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":364.98,"endTime":370.29,"body":"your egos, but I was trying to"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":364.98,"endTime":370.29,"body":"go special tactics. And when"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":370.29,"endTime":373.11,"body":"your recruiter tells you guys"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":370.29,"endTime":373.11,"body":"that there's a waiver for"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":373.11,"endTime":378.33,"body":"everything, that's not exactly"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":373.11,"endTime":378.33,"body":"accurate. So the issue I ran up"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":378.33,"endTime":383.04,"body":"against was, I can't pass a"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":378.33,"endTime":383.04,"body":"color vision test. And the Air"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":383.04,"endTime":388.71,"body":"Force would not waive that. So"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":383.04,"endTime":388.71,"body":"it took a while. They eventually"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":388.71,"endTime":392.43,"body":"offered me back then it was"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":388.71,"endTime":392.43,"body":"called life support, and said,"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":392.43,"endTime":395.73,"body":"Hey, we'll bring you in as a"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":392.43,"endTime":395.73,"body":"Senior Airman. We're going to"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":395.73,"endTime":399.36,"body":"give you this specialty of life"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":395.73,"endTime":399.36,"body":"support. You know, so I came"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":419.609,"endTime":426.989,"body":"in, I was a life support"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":426.989,"endTime":433.079,"body":"apprentice at Tinker Air Force"},{"speaker":"Justin","startTime":426.989,"endTime":433.079,"body":"Base supporting a wax.
