I applied to go to the"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":243.18,"endTime":247.65,"body":"academy initially, and then use"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":243.18,"endTime":247.65,"body":"RTC as, as my backup ended up"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":247.8,"endTime":250.26,"body":"not getting selected for the"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":247.8,"endTime":250.26,"body":"Academy. So I went through Air"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":250.26,"endTime":254.61,"body":"Force ROTC at Michigan"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":250.26,"endTime":254.61,"body":"Technological University. But"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":254.79,"endTime":260.34,"body":"what I will say as far as trying"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":254.79,"endTime":260.34,"body":"to go the pilot route, it's it's"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":260.34,"endTime":264.0,"body":"difficult to say which one is"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":260.34,"endTime":264.0,"body":"better because with the I mean,"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":264.0,"endTime":265.89,"body":"it all comes down to the needs"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":264.0,"endTime":265.89,"body":"of the Air Force. And so you have a"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":280.56,"endTime":283.59,"body":"certain amount of pilots who who"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":283.59,"endTime":288.21,"body":"get there from the Academy, and"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":283.59,"endTime":288.21,"body":"then RTC is is is kind of where"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":288.21,"endTime":292.95,"body":"the rubber meets the road as far"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":288.21,"endTime":292.95,"body":"as if the needs of the airforce"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":292.95,"endTime":296.58,"body":"are low for pilots. It's it's"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":292.95,"endTime":296.58,"body":"going to be a little bit more"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":296.58,"endTime":300.9,"body":"difficult to get there from ROTC"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":296.58,"endTime":300.9,"body":"than from the Academy. OTS is a bit of a"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":310.95,"endTime":316.17,"body":"different one, because they hire"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":316.17,"endTime":322.95,"body":"specifically for your ASC. Prior"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":316.17,"endTime":322.95,"body":"to you showing up to OTS, and so"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":322.95,"endTime":324.99,"body":"a lot of my friends who went"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":322.95,"endTime":324.99,"body":"through OTS and end up as a"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":324.99,"endTime":328.59,"body":"pilot, they were selected for"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":324.99,"endTime":328.59,"body":"pilot training prior to even"},{"speaker":"Wes","startTime":328.59,"endTime":332.61,"body":"going to OTS.
