You’ve all heard us talking about our love for these donuts once or twice so getting to sit down and interview Jeff as well as visit the Scarborough location was right up our alley!
The Holy Donut is a family founded, owned and operated business. Jeff shares with us how the business was founded by his sister in-law, in her kitchen and how the family knew right away that she was on to something! Shortly after, The Holy Donut was founded. The business began to grow rapidly and the donuts sold like hot cakes (???) thanks to Maine’ supportive small business environment.
Jeff shares with us what it is like to work with family, growing pains, and some of the pivotal moments, one being how breaking his ankle may have saved the business! We learned all about the process for creating new flavors, some fan favorites, and how the COVID-19 pandemic affecting their business,
