The Plaidcast is a weekly equestrian podcast hosted by Piper Klemm, PhD, publisher of The Plaid Horse magazine. Guests include Olympic riders, top hunter/jumper and equitation riders, trainers, horse show managers and industry insiders, plus in-depth conversations on topics such as horsemanship, collegiate riding, the state of our sport and horse show how to’s for riders at every level. Piper speaks with Grand Prix show jumping rider Lucy Deslauriers about her career and her involvement in the non-profit, GallopNYC. Listen in and share with friends!

- Guest: As the daughter of international Grand Prix riders Mario and Lisa Deslauriers, Lucy Deslauriers has followed their path to the show ring. At 26 years old, Lucy has accumulated many prominent wins, including those against her father. The bond she shared with her partner Hester molded Deslauriers into one the most successful young riders, winning FEI NAYC medals, a USEF Junior Jumper National Championship, and a USEF U25 National Championship. Since then, Lucy has competed on many FEI Jumping Nations Cup teams and helped to secure a team bronze medal at the 2019 Pan American Games, she was the first alternate rider for the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo and she was a part of the US Team that won the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen, Germany.
