In most newsrooms across the world there is a morning meeting where reporters discuss the most important stories of the day and which ones to put resources into covering. We live in a time where information comes at us fast. It’s hard to take a breath or know what to trust. Knowledge is power, and when you know better you do better. I want to explore the questions we need to be asking, the stories we need to hear and what exactly is the truth.

His family has owned and operated Gilliard Farms in Burnswick, GA for centuries. For context, this is the same part of the southeast where Ahmaud Arbery was brutally killed while jogging, the crime covered up until the public outcry grew to a zenith. Food, culture and activism combine in Raiford’s talents and efforts.
