Show Notes

Over the past couple of weeks i have been pondering a lot on what it is we need to do, individually and as a collective, to deal with this situation more positively.
.
Over the coming episodes of Mindset Unfiltered podcast, i will be chatting to a variety of experts on this topic. In this episode I speak to James Elliott - Military Resilience Coach, Airborne Solider & 2 x Guinness World Record holder
.
This is a great episode. We spoke about so much! James is a hugely fascinating and incredibly knowledgeable human and has such a great, and positive message he is putting out in this time of uncertainty. We discuss mental resilience - what it is and how to build it; how to self motivate and why it is, scientifically, that we struggle with it sometimes. We discuss our brains response to the current situation with coronavirus and lockdown and James helps us with how to respond and evolve with this environment of pressure in the best way and not fight against and how to ensure a more successful outcome for us, our mental health and our future.

Also, we discuss Tiger King and Joe Exotic... because, why not?

This episode is brought to you by MyZone. Myzone is an innovative wearable heart rate system that uses wireless and cloud technology to accurately and conveniently monitor physical activity. I wear mine each day when I exercise and love the amount of information it feeds back to me afterwards including how many calories I burned, what intensity I worked at, my heart rate and so on. It also encourages effort and personal growth as it gives you Myzone Effort Points (MEPs), that you can monitor and build over the weeks - so it really focuses on rewarding effort rather than fitness.
