God calls Jeremiah to some amazing things and some amazingly hard things. If Jeremiah had held onto his expectations from God and for his own life he would have had to let go of God's calling on his life. People who will be disciples of Jesus and make disciples of Jesus have to learn to let go of their will for their life and hold on to God's calling and purposes instead.
