Leadership Legion

Ahoy! We're the Leadership Legion Podcast. Our goal is to create a legion of nerds like us who want to become better leaders in our communities, in our organizations, and with ourselves. We do this by examining the words and actions of our favorite characters in nerddom, and understanding the lessons that they reveal to us with their stories. Our hosts, Adam and Travis, are consummate nerds who love to engage on this challenging and incredibly rewarding topic of leadership and do their best to apply these lessons to their lives. Leonidas, hero of Sparta, the quintessential king’s king. His legendary stand at Thermopylae against the invading Persians under Xerxes is artfully depicted in the movie 300. Leonidas’ leadership is impressive, not only in the buildup to the battle but in the battle itself. Though this is a fictional retelling of a true story, what makes it amazing (other than the stylized action and the great one-liners) is the characters that make up the valiant defenders of Sparta, especially Leonidas. His leadership in the face of overwhelming opposition is nothing short of spectacular, and Adam and Travis dig right into what makes Leonidas so iconic as a leader.
