God’s Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing
God has a family plan for each of us (Psalm 68:5-6), a plan to prosper and not harm us (Jeremiah 29:11). For some, the thought that God would use family, especially their family, as an instrument of blessing may be unthinkable, even troubling. Regardless of the dysfunction, abuse, rejection or abandonment we may associate with our personal family experience, God’s Family Plan offers a strategy for redemption and recovery. Holy Spirit is inviting all of us to establish the foundation of generational blessing according to the biblical principles and perspective of God’s family plan. God's Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing is available in paperback on Amazon.com.
God’s Family Plan: Establishing Generational Blessing
A Household Covering for a Time Such as This
Given what’s happening in our nation with the Uvalde shooting, gender confusion, the baby formula shortage and the pending Supreme Court ruling on Roe V Wade…to mention just a few. I believe it would be appropriate at this time for parents, grand parents and Spiritual parents, heads of households, male or female, mother or father, married or single to invoke a covering of prayer, faith decrees and blessings over their household and especially the children.
First of all I want to offer a Biblical foundation for what I am about to pray and decree.
A Biblical Foundation
Ephesians 3:14-21 - Living Bible
14-15 When I think of the wisdom and scope of his plan, I fall down on my knees and pray to the Father of all the great family of God—some of them already in heaven and some down here on earth— 16 that out of his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you the mighty inner strengthening of his Holy Spirit. 17 And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts, living within you as you trust in him. May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love; 18-19 and may you be able to feel and understand, as all God’s children should, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high his love really is; and to experience this love for yourselves, though it is so great that you will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it. And so at last you will be filled up with God himself.
20 Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes. 21 May he be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of his master plan of salvation for the Church through Jesus Christ.
Regardless of who you are, your gender or marital status, I invite you to pray and decree along with me. I am going to pray and decree this specifically for my household. I invite you to pray and decree specifically for your household.
I decree:
“…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15b NKJV)
Christ is at home in each of our hearts.
Our roots grow deep into His marvelous love.
As God’s children we have the ability to feel and understand, how long, how wide, how deep, and how high Father’s love really is.
Even though this love is so great that we will never see the end of it or fully know or understand it, I decree that every member of this household is able to experience this love for themselves.
I decree that we are filled up to overflowing with the very Presence of God Himself.
I praise God that the mighty power of Holy Spirit is now working throughout this household.
He is working in, on and through me and every member of this household to accomplish far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.
God will receive honor and glory for ages to come because every member of this household is a living testimony to the goodness of His family plan.
We are a household of faith, His (God’s) family gathering to proclaim and celebrate the Gospel of Jesus.
I decree that our home is a generational expression of the Church as the family of God.
I want to conclude today’s podcast by reading Colossians 3:15 in the Amplified Bible Classic Edition:
And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].
