Relationships and Attachment Styles
Show Notes

Vianca Joy describes the feeling of fear she endured before posting her first podcast episode, addressing the fear and working through it, only to realise that the fear is only in your head, and pushing through that fear will make you stronger.

She talks about her past and ways that she failed to follow through, and hopes that will not be the case with her podcast venture.

This episode then gets into the topic of relationships, and specifically the way we behave in relationships, and how this can be traced back to how we were treated by our caregivers.

Vianca describes the experiment done by psychologists called Strange Situation, which describes attachment theory.
There are four attachment styles, being Secure, Anxious, Avoidant, and Disorganized.

She addresses how a child with this attachment style would behave and then how this is carried over into adulthood, and how we behave in romantic relationships.

She describes the tumultuous pairing of the anxious and the avoidant, and why adults with these attachment styles are so drawn to eachother. And says what we can do to have a more secure style in a relationship.
